This index is meant to serve as a quick summary of the Premium Warships, both currently and previously available.  This will be faster and easier for me to update when something new comes out than the time it takes to write a longer article.  This guide is not meant to be comprehensive, but to give players a glance over of what each ship entails while providing easy to navigate links to more thorough reviews.

Legend & Notes
Ship availability will be described with one of these colour-coded descriptions.  Here’s what they mean:

Online Store – These are ships that you need to spend real-world money (or premium currency) to acquire.  In the case of limited release ships, players can only buy this ship directly through the online store. Some of the more common premium ships may also be available for purchase through the in game tech tree for doubloons, but only if specifically listed.
Reward Ship  – Players can currently acquire this ship as a reward — no money is needed to acquire this vessel.  Details will always describe the source through which this ship may be obtained.  This can be from bonus codes, contests, achievements, events and (in at least one case), through spending free experience.  Ships from previous events that are no longer available will not have this designation.
Not available – Ships is temporarily unavailable.  It may become available again sometime in the future.
Rare Collector’s Item – Wargaming has removed the ship from sale and has released information detailing that this ship is unlikely to ever be available again in the future.  Unless specifically stated otherwise otherwise, these ships are unavailable.
Work in Progress
– Ship is still under development by Wargaming and has not been released to the public.  This includes ships that have been pulled from circulation for to re-balance them (only one example so far).
LIMITED TIME! – Attached to Online Store, Reward Ship or Rare Collector’s Item ships that will only be accessible for a limited window of opportunity.  Where possible, the final day the ship will be available will be documented.  If you want this ship, do not wait until the last minute and then blame it on me if there’s a misunderstanding on the specifics on when a promotion ends.

When the ship’s name is a link, it will lead you to the full review of the given vessel.  Pay close attention to the date of the review.  Older reviews may contain information no longer relevant to the current meta.

Ship Comparissons
To give players a better idea of how a ship plays without having to purchase it, I list the closest equivalent ship that exists in the game.  Where possible, I will try and compare this vessel to a ship that can be earned for free.

CloneMust be an exact copy, down the polygons and statistics of an existing vessel in World of Warships.  Essentially they have to be the same ship where the only appreciable difference is a change in their skin and/or name.
Sister Ship: A ship from the same class as an existing ship in World of Warships.  Parameters of the vessels can vary drastically or very little.  This can even include two versions of the same ship but only if their statistics, modules, and/or model are different in some appreciable form.

Related Class:  These are ships that are close predecessors are antecedents of the class in question.  This reflects the ship’s relation to an existing class in World of Warships may draw many design (and presumably, game play) similarities.  This can also be used to denote a subclass if they’re markedly different.
Similar Role: The ship in question bears no direct design relation towards the vessel compared.  However, her performance and method used in game is similar enough to draw comparison.  Often this will be used to describe two ships of the same type from two different tech trees.  They are unlikely to share things like weapon performance, AA mounts, tiering etc.  However, they share some fundamental game play elements between them.
Unique: These are the real weirdies.  These are the odd duck designs or the ships that have so many quirks to them that they really stand out.  Their pedigree is their own and they stand apart from every other vessel in World of Warships, be it because of some combination of bonuses, weapon options or what have you.

Angry YouTuber Review

This is a shorthand evaluation of how advantageous a given ship is within the meta.  It’s meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek and a gross oversimplification of the overall power level of a ship.  This won’t explain why or how a ship is evaluated as such — merely that it is.  A player can own an overpowered ship and still suck with it, or excel with what amounts to a garbage boat.  Here’s the breakdown:

GARBAGE – Grossly uncompetitive and badly in need of buffs.
Mehbote – Average ship. Has strengths and weaknesses. Doesn’t need buffs to be viable, but certainly not advantageous.
Gudbote – A strong ship that has obvious competitive strengths and unique features that make it very appealing.
OVERPOWERED – A ship with very clear advantages over all of its competitors and unbalancing the game with its inclusion.

Destroyers

Smith, Tier 2 United States
vh885h.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary:  A tiny, slow and under-armed destroyer with 76mm main armament guns and with fast-reloading, single-tube launched torpedoes.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Tachibana, Tier 2 Japanese Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class/ Similar Role / *Unique*
The Smith shares the Tachibana’s frantic, close range play style.  She’s tiny with few hit points.  In addition, like the IJN Destroyer, the Smith has anemic 76mm guns along with short ranged, fast-reloading torpedoes.  The Smith takes this style of play and cranks it up to eleven.
Release History:  First Sold August 5th to 8th, 2016 for Wargaming’s Anniversary.  Has been on sale since September 6th, 2016.

Tachibana, Tier 2 Japan

Availability on NA Server: ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary:   A fiendishly cute but painfully short ranged destroyer.  She has some of the quickest reloading torpedo tubes of her tier.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Umikaze, Tier 2 Japanese Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / Sister-Ship / *Related Class* / Similar Role / Unique
The Sakura-class (to which Tachibana belongs) was a development from the Umikaze-class destroyers.  Tachibana plays very much like a stock Umikaze-class destroyer but with even smaller guns.
Release History:   First awarded for the Kaiju Hunter Missions, February 1st to March 1st 2016.  She first went on sale on May 25th, 2016 and has been on sale since.

Campbeltown, Tier 3 United Kingdom
ngrmfo.jpg
Availability on NA Server: ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary:  A Town-class Destroyer with 7.5km range torpedoes and a broadside of only 2 guns.  Despite it’s American appearance, she plays more like a mid-tier Japanese Destroyer.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Wickes, Tier 3 American Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
HMS Cambeltown was a mothballed Wickes-class destroyer that the United States sold to the United Kingdom in exchange for leases on several ports.  The British then converted her to make her more stable for use in the North Atlantic, removing several of her armaments.  As such, she has less guns and less (but far more powerful) torpedoes.  So while she looks like an American ship and retains that heritage, she doesn’t play anything like the Wickes.
Release History:  First sold on May 25th, 2016 and has been on sale continually since that time.

Gremyashchy, Tier 5 Soviet Union
gremmy5.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  RARE COLLECTOR’S ITEM
Quick Summary:  A Soviet Gnevny-class destroyer with improved  agility, concealment , torpedoes and HE rounds.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Anshan, Tier 6 Pan Asian Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
I got quite upset, once upon a time, when various players reported that the Anshan was effectively a tier 6 Gremyashchy. I made it a personal mission to dispel this illusion, perhaps a little too vehemently. The two ships do share a lot of similarities, but the Anshan is a far cry from the second coming of the Gremyashchy. While superficially similar, the Asian destroyer doesn’t have the same agility or HE shells of the pre-order vessel.
Release History:  First Sold in Pre-Order Bundles from April 8th to June 25th, 2015.  She has not been sold since.  She was indirectly made available through the Santa’s Secret Stash promotion of Christmas 2016.

Okhotnik, Tier 5 Soviet Union
okhotnik92.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE
Quick Summary:  A Viking long-ship.  A TOG II* in World of Warships form.  A fish story.  A destroyer that’s happy to see you.  A meme waiting to happen.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Izyaslav, Tier 4 Soviet Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / Sister-Ship / *Related Class* / Similar Role / Unique
Okhotnik feels like something that would be concocted if someone was trying to describe the Izyaslav in a fish story.  She’s an exaggeration of the tier 4 Russian destroyer in almost every dimension (particularly length) while still keeping close enough to the source material.  She really should be a cruiser, but she’s not.
Release History:  First sold March 13th to March 27th.

Kamikaze, Tier 5 Japan
PKE1v88.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  RARE COLLECTOR’S ITEM
Quick Summary:  The third Kamikaze-class sister.  An old-school IJN Destroyer with fantastic torpedoes, good speed, excellent camouflage and slow firing, short-ranged guns.  Kamikaze has a typical green IJN camouflage scheme.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Kamikaze R & Fujin,Tier 5 Japanese Destroyers
Degree of Similarity:  *Clone* / Sister-Ship / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
All three Kamikaze-sisters are clones of one another.  They used to closely resemble the Minekaze-class destroyer until patch 0.5.15.
Release History:  Was first made available in personal offers through the summer of 2016.  Sold in various Black Friday bundles 2016.  First sold separately (and openly) from January 2nd to 16th, 2017.  Wargaming announced that after January 18th, 2017, the Kamikaze-class would no longer be available.

Kamikaze R, Tier 5 Japan

Availability on NA Server:  RARE COLLECTOR’S ITEM
Quick Summary:  The second of three Kamikaze-class sisters.  An old-school IJN Destroyer with fantastic torpedoes, good speed, excellent camouflage and slow firing, short-ranged guns.  Kamikaze R has a skin reminiscent of the famous painting, “Great Wave off Kanagawa“.  She received an alternate “fire and water” scheme for Clash of the Elements without making the original scheme available.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Kamikaze & Fujin,Tier 5 Japanese Destroyers
Degree of Similarity:  *Clone* / Sister-Ship / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
All three Kamikaze-sisters are clones of one another.  They used to closely resemble the Minekaze-class destroyer until patch 0.5.15.

Anshan, Tier 6 Pan Asia

Quick Summary:   Gnevny-class Soviet destroyer with an optional upgraded torpedo armament and modified AA suite.  Has a special form of premium camouflage which on top of the usual bonuses, increases free experience gains by 100%.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Gremyashchy, Tier 5 Soviet Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
When Anshan was released, many reviewers were calling her a Tier 6 Gremyashchy.  This comparison is a bit misleading.  Anshan doesn’t have all of the overpowered perks, such as agility, concealment and fire chance that Gremyashchy has.
Release History:  First Sold February 8th to 22nd 2016.  Sold in various Black Friday bundles 2016.  Sold from December 16th to January 2nd, 2017.

Gallant, Tier 6 United Kingdom
GallantA9.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE LIMITED TIME! HMS Gallant is on sale from July 19th until August 9th.
Quick Summary:  A small, agile destroyer with an uninspiring main battery. She has a heavy torpedo armament with the ability to launch each fish individually, but she’s held back by poor launch angles.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Gaede, tier 6 German Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class/ *Similar Role* / Unique
As much as I would like to compare these to the Polish Grom-class, Gallant shares a lot in common with Ernst Gaede, the tier VI German Destroyer, especially when the German ship is armed with its (admittedly awful) 128mm guns. Am I foreshadowing bit?
Release History:  Gallant was first sold on July 19th until August 9th, 2017.

Shinonome, Tier 6 Japan
30adhdz.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  REWARD SHIP  A reward ship earned for completing the “Honorable Service” Campaign.
Quick Summary:  An almost-stock Fubuki-class Destroyer but with three, slow firing turrets instead of two.  Her torpedo armament has an 8.0km range.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Fubuki,Tier 6 Japanese Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
The Shinonome is the sixth ship of the Fubuki-class.  Veterans of the IJN line will recognize her three-turret layout as being that of the A & B Hull Variants when the ship was a tier 8 destroyer.  Her torpedoes are much more powerful due to their longer range over the stock Fubuki.  Otherwise, she’s very similar to her tier 6 stock-counterpart with only small differences here and there.
Release History:  Awarded to players that complete the Honorable Service Campaign which became available on November 29th, 2016.

Blyskawica, Tier 7 Poland

Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE LIMITED TIME! Blyskawica is on sale from July 14th until August 2nd, 2017.
Quick Summary:  A large, well balanced destroyer armed with seven 120mm guns and a decent torpedo armament.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Leningrad, Tier 7 Soviet Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class/ *Similar Role* / Unique
Blyskawica is rather an odd duck currently.  Designed by the United Kingdom, she’s unlikely to have any close contemporaries until their destroyer line gets released.  She most closely resembles the game play style of the Leningrad, and there’s some overlap in behaviours between the two.
Release History:  First Sold December 25th 2015 to January 5th, 2016.  Sold April 8th to 11th, 2016.  On Sale from May 25th to September 6th, 2016.  Sold in various Black Friday bundles 2016.  Sold from December 16th to January 2nd, 2017.  Sold July 14th until August 2nd, 2017.

Leningrad, Tier 7 Soviet Union
leningrad5.jpg
Availability on the NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE
Quick Summary:  The Leningrad is one of the fastest destroyers in the game; she’s even faster than the Kiev.  Her gun DPM is on the low side with slow turning turrets and bad fire angles but she makes up for this with a good, medium range torpedo armament.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Minsk, tier 7 Soviet Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
This is one of the rare cases where the lead ship of a given class is a premium, making the tech tree ships take the name of the second ship in the series.  Leningrad is hands down better with better torpedoes.

Sims, Tier 7 United States

Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary: The fastest and most agile USN Destroyer currently in the game, with four, quick-reloading 127mm guns, the Defensive Fire consumable and the choice of two terrible torpedo armaments.
Closest in-Game Contemporary: Farragut-class, Benson-class
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / *Related Class* / Similar Role / Unique
Historically, the Sims-class was the predecessor to the Benson-class. However, she shares a lot of World of Warships game play styles to the Farragut. I would normally just compare it to the Benson, but it’s a big step down. She’ll play a lot more like a tier 6 USN Destroyer in most respects, particularly with one of her two torpedo options, but with a dash of Benson-greatness tossed in to make her feel (almost) enjoyable.
Release History:  First Sold in Pre-Order Bundles from April 8th to June 25th, 2015.  Sold on June 26th to July 10th, 2016. On sale since September 6th, 2016.

Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Kagerou-class, Tier 8 Japanese Destroyer
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / Similar Role / *Unique*
Superficially, Harekaze resembles Kagerou, with six 127mm guns in three turrets and the same consumables.  However, Harekaze can swap out her guns for six 100mm guns found on Akizuki or for three 127mm/54 guns used as secondaries on Montana.  This changes her game play style entirely depending on the option selected.

Degree of Similarity: Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
Kidd is a far cry from the splendor that is the Fletcher-class.  She’s more sluggish in her handling, she uses Benson torpedoes and only has a single launcher in order to provide the ship with improved (but not significantly improved) anti-aircraft firepower.
Release History:  Kidd is still in the early stages of testing.

Lo Yang, Tier 8 Pan Asia
rtdfd0.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE
Quick Summary:   A modified Benson-class Destroyer (the USS Benson, in fact) that can swap it’s Engine Boost / Defensive Fire ability for an improved version of the Hydroacoustic Search consumable instead.  The Lo Yang has slightly less HP than the Benson while also having the option of two different torpedo armaments.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Benson, Tier 8 American Destroyer
Degree of Similarity:  Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class/ Similar Role / Unique
At first glance, the Lo Yang appears to be identical to the USN Benson-class (C-Hull) Destroyer found at tier 8 in the American tech tree.  There’s a reason for this.  She is the USS Benson, sold and renamed by Taiwan.  She is near identical to this researched vessel but with a few exceptions — and not all of them for the better.

Quick Summary:  A slow, short-ranged, soft-skinned, “protected” cruiser that looks more heavily armed than she actually is.  Dat bling, tho…
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Chester, Tier 2 American Cruiser
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / *Similar Role* / Unique
It should say a lot that the Albany is most closely related to one of the worst performing ships in the game, tier for tier.  The similarities between the Albany and Chester are many, but the Albany almost (almost) makes the Chester look good.  The Chester has more hit points, longer range, is more stealthy, and moves faster.  Yeah.  If you can’t tell at this point, there’s a reason I’ve kinda held off on reviewing this one.

Degree of Similarity: Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class / Similar Role / Unique
As her sister ship, the Emden is very similar to the stock Dresden with only a few small changes.  The first is cosmetic — the Emden is uniquely modeled with a fourth (fake) funnel behind the bridge to disguise her. Upgraded, the Dresden gets two extra 105mm guns and is slightly faster.

The Yubari feels like a destroyer lead, similar to the Tenryu.  She mounts a similar number of guns, is fast and agile but that’s really where the similarities end.  The Yubari is a bit of a Frankenstein’s monster with a bunch of cobbled together features that individually look great but are hard to make excel due to her horrible fragility.

Duca d’Aosta, Tier 6 Italy
Availability on NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE
Quick Summary:  One of the fastest cruisers in the game with destroyer-levels of handling and agility.  For a cruiser, she is under gunned with painfully slow turning turrets compensated for with very long range (and slow) torpedoes.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Budyonny, Tier 6 Soviet Cruiser
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / *Similar Role* / Unique
Budyonny remains the closest analogue to Duca d’Aosta. On the surface, they are both fast, 152mm armed light cruisers with interesting armour layouts.  The two ships share very similar ballistic qualities with their AP shells.  However, Budyonny relies on range more than agility to keep her safe from enemy fire.  Duca d’Aosta also has the odd combination of consumables and her very long ranged torpedoes which definitely sets her apart

The HMAS Perth was a modified version of the Leander-class cruiser.  The primary difference was an improved propulsion system.  In game, this is easy to see with the different funnel layout with the Perth having two to the Leander’s one. Quick Summary:  A fragile anti-aircraft cruiser with radar and armed with sixteen 127mm rifles and short-ranged torpedoes.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Flint, Tier 7 American Cruiser
Degree of Similarity: Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class / Similar Role / Unique
Flint is an Oakland-subclass of the Atlanta-class cruiser, so it stands to reason that the two ships would be very similar.  Flint has an upgraded medium-range anti-aircraft suite.  She loses out on the two wing turrets found on Atlanta giving her a maximum of a twelve-gun broadside.  Flint’s superiority is very firmly set by her torpedoes which have a reach out to 9.2km.  Lastly, the two ships trade out their third consumable, with Flint having a USN Smoke Generator instead of Atlanta’s Radar.

Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Atlanta, Tier 7 American Cruiser

The Oakland-class is more of a subclass of the Atlanta, truly.  In almost every respect, it’s an Atlanta with a couple missing turrets and a more modern set of anti-aircraft armaments.  The other differences look minor but are significant.  The Flint has better torpedoes than the Atlanta.  More importantly, she loses out on radar but gains a smoke generator instead.

Availability on NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE  Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya has not been released on the NA server yet, though she is out on the RU server.
Quick Summary:  An ugly-as-sin Soviet battleship with twelve 305mm guns, surprisingly good anti-aircraft firepower and a unique Damage Control Party consumable.
Closest in-Game Contemporary: Imperator Nikolai I, Tier 4 Soviet Battleship
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / *Related Class* / Similar Role / Unique
The Gangut-class of Battleships, to which Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya belongs, precedes the Imperator Nikolai I through the Imperatrista Mariya-class of battleships, making the two ships two generations removed from one another.  The two ships look very similar, though Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya is quite obviously a more modernized (and ooglay) looking ship that shares the same design philosophy.  Overall, Imperator Nikolai I is slower, tougher, with easier to use artillery.  Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya is faster (but not much faster), with a quicker reload and comes  with much better anti-aircraft firepower.  Tier for tier, Nikolai is the better boat, hands down.  I don’t think anyone’s surprised.

Hood reminds me very much of some of the early days of playing Kongo, when she was one of only two tier 5 battleships.  Hood, like Kongo, has speed but not the firepower.  She has good protection when angled but she falls apart when she’s caught out of position.   When top tier, she’s a great ship.  When she’s not, she feels lackluster — more so than some other battleships.
Release History:  First Sold May 18th until June 16th, 2017.

Scharnhorst, Tier 7 Germany
28he7te.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary:  A brawling Battleship with a smaller caliber, quick-firing armament, yet still with a battleship’s (in)accuracy.  A specialized ship, she boasts good armour, speed and some nasty surprises in the form of deck-mounted torpedo launchers.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Gneisenau, Tier 7 German Battleship
Degree of Similarity: Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class / Similar Role / Unique
Scharnhorst is a closer-to-historical load-out of the two sisters.  She trades Gneisenau’s six 380mm guns for nine 283mm guns.  She also reduces her AA compliment significantly along with some slight changes to mobility.
Release History:  First Sold August 15th to 29th, 2016. Sold October 20th to November 3rd, 2016.  Sold in various Black Friday bundles 2016. Sold December 2nd to 9th, 2016. Sold December 23rd to January 2nd, 2017. On sale since January 18th, 2017.

Alabama, Tier 8 United States
bama4.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE
Quick Summary:  A Fast-Battleship with good handling and speed, excellent firepower and anti-aircraft protection.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  North Carolina, Tier 8 American Battleship
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / *Related Class* / Similar Role / Unique
Alabama feels like a weird amalgamation of the Colorado’s ability to turn, North Carolina’s guns and Iowa’s 0.6.2 fragility.  This combines to make a North Carolina that’s both more agile and more fragile than you might otherwise be accustomed.
Release History:  First sold March 31st until April 14th, 2017.

Tirpitz, Tier 8 Germany
HvNxFcU.gif
Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary:  A massive and surprisingly fast super-dreadnought.  She has a small main battery for her size and tier but this is compensated for with a powerful torpedo armament (!) and a long range, heavy secondary gun battery complement.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Bismarck, Tier 8 German Battleship
Degree of Similarity: Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class / Similar Role / Unique
The differences between Bismarck and Tirpitz are distinct.  While they share the same main and secondary gun battery performance, Tirpitz has access to two quad-torpedo launchers.  Bismarck has a tremendous advantage in AA power over her sister ship, while also enjoying marginal improvements in armour protection, speed and aerial concealment.
Release History:  First Sold September 17th to October 1st, 2015.  Sold December 11th to 14th, 2015.  On sale since May 25th, 2016.

Missouri, Tier 9 United States
mo1.gif
Availability on NA Server:  REWARD SHIP.  Missouri is only available through the in game tech tree for 750,000 free experience (and 1 credit).
Quick Summary:  A modified Iowa-class Battleship with reinforced forward and rear citadel protection, a radar consumable and tremendous credit earning potential.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Iowa, Tier 9 American Battleship\
Degree of Similarity:
Clone / *Sister-Ship* / Related Class / Similar Role / Unique
I don’t think anyone is surprised here.  The differences between the Iowa and the Missouri are minor and well advertised.  The Missouri loses the aircraft of the Iowa and gains radar instead.  There’s slight differences to their AA load out.  Most telling, the Missouri has reinforced citadel armour along the transverse bulkheads, making her better at bow-tanking while avoiding citadel damage at this angle.
Release History:  Made available for 750,000 free experience on December 7th, 2016

Aircraft Carriers

Kaga, Tier 7 Japan
kaga7.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  NOT AVAILABLE.
Quick Summary:  An enormous carrier with specialized dive bomber and torpedo bomber squadron attack modes.  Her fighters are not up to snuff.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Hiryu, Tier 7 Japanese Aircraft Carrier
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / Similar Role / Unique
Kaga is only superficially similar to a stock Hiryu.  At least then Kaga shares Hiryu’s fighters, torpedo planes and dive bombers.  However, all of Kaga’s strike aircraft have unique ordnance, strike patterns and squadron sizes.  The physical ship itself shares very little with the other carriers, with her hull based on that of a battleship.
Release History:  First sold from June 5th until June 22nd, 2017.  Sold July 21st until July 24th, 2017.

Saipan, Tier 7 United States
f5d08w.jpg
Availability on NA Server:  ONLINE STORE.  Also available for doubloons.
Quick Summary:  Equipped with tier 9 aircraft but with only 2/3s the capacity of other Tier 7 CVs.  Squadron sizes are odd, with tiny fighter and torpedo attack formations yet an enormous dive bomber squadron.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Independence, Tier 6 American Aircraft Carrier
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / Similar Role / *Unique*
There’s no other carrier quite like Saipan.  She has a tiny hangar capacity, no secondary defenses and a unique squadron setup.  Hull wise, she most closely resembles the Independence-class, as both classes were based upon American cruisers.
Release History: First Sold April 12th to 26th, 2016.  On sale since September 6th, 2016.

Enterprise, Tier 8 United States
NsUwwHC.jpg
Availability on NA Server: NOT AVAILABLE.
Quick Summary:  An aircraft carrier with enormous hangar capacity and deep fighter reserves.  She’s held back by low tier aircraft, weird torpedo drop patterns and an overspecialization for nuking German battleships.
Cost:  $59.99 USD including a port slot.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Kaga, Tier 7 Japanese Aircraft Carrier
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / *Similar Role* / Unique Enterprise shares a lot in common with Kaga.  They both use downtiered aircraft.  They both boast huge reserves.  Their torpedo planes both have unique drop patterns.  Where they differ primarily is their load-outs.  Kaga is more strike-aircraft friendly, with more of her reserves and specializing focusing on the use of her torpedo planes and dive bombers.  Enterprise has enormous fighter reserves and attack planes that are far less intuitive to use.
Release History:  Enterprise first went on sale June 30th until July 14th, 2017.

Graf Zeppelin, Tier 8 Germany
YTfP7Ua.png
Availability on NA Server: Work in Progress
Quick Summary:  A strike-carrier without deep reserves.  She has three torpedo squadrons of five planes each and two under strength and underwhelming fighter squadrons.
Cost:  Graf Zeppelin is still being tested and has not been released yet.
Closest in-Game Contemporary:  Zuiho, Tier 5 Japanese Aircraft Carrier
Degree of Similarity: Clone / Sister-Ship / Related Class / *Similar Role* / Unique
Zuiho?  Seriously.  Zuiho is about as close to the feel and frustration of Graf Zeppelin.  Both have tremendous striking power.  Both, however, feel impotent when facing an enemy carrier played with even mildly competent fighters.  Left to their own devices, they can seemingly murder with impunity.
Release History:  Graf Zeppelin is still being tested and has not been released yet.
