I have had many guildies ask about etin, so made this guide for them. Then I thought I would help others who wish to know more about etin.

What is Etin? & Why do we need it?
Etin is essentially a form of guild currency. Etin is gathered in order to pay for your Guild’s Guild House. It costs 2000 etin a week minimum to keep the Guild House, however, the cost will go up if you choose to buy certain upgrades. Etin comes the following coinage:
1 [Bronze]
10 [Silver]
100 [Gold]
1000 [Blue]

How do I get it?

There are three places in game where you can exchange certain items for etin. In each case they will have the yellow quest symbol above their head, and they will be Fury/Lighty Toons.
They are located in:
Arktuis Vill/Starfumos Vill – Map 2
Huigronn Castle/Arena Stronghold – Map 3
Keolleosou/Gliter – Map 1

The following items should be kept as they can all be turned into etin:
The items for the AoL and UoF quests are the same.

The following drop on maps 2 & 3

• Essence of Witch.
• Thin Meats.
• Broken Cores
• Gold Scissors
• Manitou Core.
• Dark Mage Stones.

The following drop in Jungle and Desert:

• Monster Poisonous Stinger.
• Desert Crystal.
• Deadly poisoned Essence.
• Desert Essence.
• Sparkling Power.
• Stable Core.

Jungle and Desert are 1-60 PvP maps, so be careful if farming these items.

I will now show you how to get there and explain what to give and who to give it to.

Arktuis Vil (Level 15-20, needs conformation)
To get to the NPCs in Ark you should line yourself up as I have done in this Screenshot. The NPCS are located in between the rocks indicated in the picture.

You should find some Furies that look like this:

Then all you need to do is take two of each item to them and lo and behold you get an etin. You can also pick up some remedies that boost your stats by a few points for 10 minutes. They are non tradable and have lvl caps on them.

Stronghold – Level 36
Ark is fairly simple to get to, but getting to the stronghold takes a bit more effort. The easiest way is to go to the Apulune then find the gatekeeper who takes you to the stronghold. Be warned, it costs about 40k to portal here, and you can only get these quests when you are past level 36 and above.

Once you get through the portal, the NPCs are almost directly opposite you.

Keo – Level 52
At 52 three more etin quests become available. The items needed drop in Jungle and desert.

The NPCs can be found near the portal to Aelbeougeau (Elf starting place) in Keo. They are tucked away in an alcove, but you should be able to use the quest icon as a guide.

The quests are as follows:
Vodro’s alchemy:
1 Monster Poisonous Stinger.
1 Desert Crystal.

Travous’s alchemy:
1 Deadly poisoned Essence.
1 Desert Essence.

Sabina’s alchemy:
1 Sparkling Power.
1 Stable Core.

I will add a Screenshot of their location at a later date. However, these items are rare and don’t drop often. Desert and Jungle are also dangerous PvP areas. I would highly recommend not farming these areas.

Other ways to get Etin
There are other ways to get etin which do not involve these favour quests.

Earth Tear Quest
One of the major quests in game is the Earth Tear quest. This quest requires 3125 Earth Alchemy Powders to complete, but it gives a reward of 1000 etin. This is not something that can really be completed by one person and is usually done by a guild.

However, if you wish to do some (or all!!) of the quest, the NPC locations are here:

Each NPC will ask for 5 of a certain item. Only the Earth Alchemy powder can be found as a monster drop. You can buy the items from other players, but they may be very expensive.

For your troubles you will receive a 1000 etin coin.

Buying Etin
From time to time in Apulune/Iris you will see some people selling etin. Sometimes they will not know what it is worth, which either means it will be very cheap (eg 50k) or very expensive (10mil!).
Any etin you see being sold for under 90k is a bargain.

Within GRB there is also a place to buy etin. It is sold in 10s for 930kish.
The seller is located next to Old Willow, who is the final boss of GRB. He is a lvl 65 boss, and he has a chance to drop a 1000 etin coin. The etin seller appears about 20mins into GRB.

The etin seller walks around Old Willow and he looks like a little Gnome. I tried to SS him but got killed by Old Willow…
You can run from the 1-15 area to Old Willows space, run out of the top and turn right. You can get to the the etin seller without fighting any of the uber bosses. So even guilds with lowbies can gain access to etin ^^
