Note: To the reader I have played warrior scout for many, many months and I just thought in my opinion that the old guide needed some refining. I am open to all suggestions and criticism. If I had missed anything please tell me. I don’t know of any macros because I do not like them considering Warrior Scout is a very tough class to play and macros decrease the amusement of the class and the complexity of the class, in my opinion.
Warrior/Scout: The Fighter
Able to generate rage from range. Easily one of the best if not the best in PvP. If equally geared can almost out dps any class combination in the game. The W/S is all about wielding the 2H weapon making it very good with aoes which, should be utilized as they are very strong in endgame instances. We are also not very popular but very strong. I have only seen 4 w/s in the long months I have played this game. (Check sig)
If you don’t think the W/S is for you, or you want to learn more about the scout, or you just want to entirely switch the class combo, then this guide is for you (Contributed by DarknessReaper) http://forum.us.runesofmagic.com/showthread.php?t=35740.

High Priority Warrior Skills:
Warrior General and Primary:
Note: Skill descriptions from Wikipedia (I did not copy and paste). Skills should be five levels lower than your current level to save TP to put into your other skills. Also Berserk is a very good dps skill mainly used for endgame when you have a priest perpetually casting Group Heal.
Slash: Level 1. Inflicts 80% to 344% main hand weapon dps to the target. Every upgrade increases dps by 4.8%. You all want this maxed or close it is your main damage dealer.
Probing Attack(only until level 45+): Level 2. Inflicts 70 to 301% main hand weapon dps to the target. Causes the target to become vulnerable. Every upgrade increase is by 4.2%. I say level 45+ because until then you will have enough TP to put it into PA, OF, Slash, TA, and other skills.
Open Flank(only until level 45+): Level 2. Inflicts 110 to 473% main hand weapon dps to the target. Every upgrade increase is by 6.6%. Same reason as above.
Tactical Attack: Level 4. Inflicts 45 to 193.5% main hand weapon dps to the target twice! It also has a chance of critical hitting! This is a combo that goes with Slash always use Slash first then tactical attack, that will casue it to hit twice.
Berserk: Level 12 Cool down 60 seconds lasts 30. Increases physical attack power from 3 to 36% and decreases defense by 3 to 36%. Every upgrade increase is by .6%. Max level is 50. Reason I say this is because its not really important until endgame where you will have a healer at all times. It also takes away about 37% of defense so soloing it can be tough.
Moon Cleave: Level 22 cool down 30 seconds(Elite skill cuts CD by 20 seconds). Attacks multipe targets in your range three times! Inflicts 40 to 172% main hand weapon dps. Every upgrade increase is by 2.4%. This is your main aoe does lots of damage. In endgame it should be doing 25k total damage.
2-H Weapon Mastery: Level 30. Increases damage done by axes, swords, or hammers by 5 to 38%. Every upgrade is by .6%. At 38% this adds 3.8 tiers to you 2H weapon. You want this all the way maxed very helpful skill for damage.
Blasting Cyclone: Level 40 cool down 10 seconds. Causes 100 to 375% main hand weapon dps to all surrounding targets creating a knockdown to humanoids and a 2 second stun to all other targets. Every upgrade increase is by 5%. Another one of your significant damage dealing aoes it should do about 12-15k damage in endgame.
Low Priority Skills
Warrior General and Primary:
Brute Strength: Level 20. Increases strength from 10 to 65. Every upgrade is by 1 point. Just get this skill to 20 then abandon it until later levels, or you could level it all the way up.
Aggressiveness: Level 34 Cool down 3 minutes. Increases rage gain from 20 to 75% for 30 seconds. Every upgrade increase is by 1 point. Not very useful until boss fights in endgame when you could use the rage generation and sometimes you will run out of rage and focus.
Survival Instinct: Level 36 Cool down 5 minutes. Can only be used when your HP is below 25%. Increases defense from 25 to 91%. Every upgrade is by 1.2%. Raises the chance of dodging from 5 to 16%. Every upgrade increase is by .2%. Raises the parry rate from 5 to 16%. Every upgrade increase is by .2% for 30 seconds. Lasts 30 seconds. This skill is just basically an Oh %$#@! Moment.
High Priority Elite Skills:
Note: Use Skull Breaker if you want until level thirty. If you want to remove it then use the skill reset stone you get at level thirty from the gift packages you receive every few levels. I say this because of the huge focus cost and it is very unpredictable. You obtain elite skills when both of your classes have reached the designated levels.
Skull Breaker(optional): Level 15. Inflicts 80 to 300% main hand weapon dps and a 50% chance to inflict the skill bonus itself of reducing targets accuracy by 43%. Every upgrade increase is by 4.4% and with every upgrade there is a decline in accuracy by .-6%. Obtain, 3x Ash Lumber, 3xZinc Nugget, 3x Mountain Demon Grass Sap, 8,000 Gold Pieces. Location is Varanas Class Hall…Listi Pursdon.
Stun Shot: Level 20. Stuns the target for four seconds. Obtain, 3x Willow Lumber, 3x Tin Nugget, 3x Beetroot Sap, 15,000 Gold Pieces. Location is Varanas Class Hall…Listi Pursdon.
Moon Cleave Perfection: Level 25. Decreases cooldown of mooncleave by twenty seconds and rage by 10. Obtain, 15 Illusion Crystals and 20,000 Gold Pieces. Location is on the road to the Forsaken Abbey…Fay Akjad.
Aim For The Wound: Level 30 cool down 6 seconds. Inflicts 70% ranged weapon dps. Every upgrade increase is by 4.2% and rage increase is by .5. Starts at 5. Obtain, 3x Oak Lumber, 3x Copper Nugget, 3x Moxa Sap, 28,000 Gold Pieces. Location is Silverfall, Aslan Valley…Menqid Beman.
Sword Breath: Level 35 cool down 8 seconds. Inflicts 70% ranged weapon dps. Every upgrade increase is by 4.2% and rage increase is by .3. Starts at 5. Obtain, 15 Study Essences from the Auction House or by farming Necropolis of Mirrors and 35,000 Gold Pieces. Location Silverfall, Necropolis of Mirrors…Sisileena Chab.
Waiting Game: Level 45 cool down 20 seconds. When you use Aim for the Wound and hit the target with a Moon Cleave it raises your physical attack power by 300 or so? And its not upgradeable so its not very useful in endgame considering it won’t make much of a difference. But at lower levels it will. Obtain 20x Harpy Holy Spirit and 58,000 gold. Location is Dust Devil Canyon, Obsidian Stronghold…Belin Pursdon.
The Final Battle: Level 50 cool down 6 seconds. Inflict 60% main hand weapon DPS. Every upgrade increases this by 3.6%. If the target’s HP is lower than 30%, it will inflict 120% main hand weapon DPS. Every upgrade increases this by 7.2%. Very useful in PvP this is your strongest skill. Go to Sigg Fletcher in Varanas. You have to do the following…
- Necropolis of Mirrors and Paspers Shrine
- Ystra Labyrinth, Mystic Altar and Ruins of the ice dwarf kingdom (50)
- Shrine of Kalin, Paspers Shrine, Treasure Trove
- Aisha
- And one last class specific quest.
Low Priority Elite Skills:
Note: Calm is a totally useless skill only get this skill to get your 45 and 50 level Elites. It could be useful for PvP against a Rogue or Scout.
Calm: Level 40 no cool down. When your skull breaker fails as in missing or not applying the effect. You increase your accuracy by 2 points for 10 seconds. Every upgrade increase in accuracy level by .56. 10x Minotaur’s Soul, 10x Sound of Wind, 42000 Gold Pieces. Location Dust Devil Canyon, Obsidian Stronghold…Belin Pursdon
High Priority Scout Skills:
Scout General Only:
Note: Only level up Blood Arrow until endgame and always tell your healers when you are using blood arrow. All of these skill should be maxed. Except Wrist attack.
Shot: Level 1. Requires 1 ammo. Inflicts 17 to 317.5% ranged weapon dps. Every upgrade increase is by 4.5%. Always max this skill. Very useful for PvP.
Vampire Arrows: Level 4 cool down 10 seconds. No ammo. Inflicts 23.5 to 260 ranged weapon dps. Every upgrade increase is by 4.3. It also draws 16 with an additional upgrade of 8 every level for every 2 out of 10 seconds at max this will do 2,100 damage. Max this skill good skill to kite with.

Wrist Attack: Level 20 Cool down 30 seconds. Decreases damage dealt by the target by 30% for 5 seconds. Fairly useful for bosses and PvP.
Low Priority Scout Skills:
Scout General Skills:

Throat Attack: Level 16 cool down 12 seconds. Don’t level it up unless you are in PvP great skill interrupt. Inflicts 16.4 to 197.9 main hand weapon dps. Every upgrade increases damage by 3.3. If Throat attack interrupted a skill that has NO cool down, then all skills of the target enter a 3 second cool down phase. Do not put any TP into here unless you have extra TP.
Recommended Skill Rotation:
PvE (Grinding):
Shot–Vampire Arrows–Aim For The Wound–Sword Breath–Shot–Enrage(Only when up)–Frenzy(Only when up)–Slash–Shot–Tactical Attack–Shot–Probing Attack–Shot–Open Flank. When you start again do everything except stun shot, Frenzy(Its on CD), and Enrage(Its on CD) only when really needed.
Recommended Skill Rotation
PvP:
Stun Shot–Shot–Vampire Arrows–Aim For The Wound–
Sword Breath–Surprise Attack–Shout–Enrage(only when up)–Frenzy(only when up)–Shot–Sword Breath–Slash–Tactical Attack–Shot–Probing Attack—Shot–Open Flank.
Equipment:
Here I will be explaining the equipment you should be using basically from 1-50 you should be using quest gear. I started transmuting my gear at level 50 cause there really is no point in doing it any earlier it will just waste money. So I will be showing the gear that you should be using at 50 and beyond.
Level 50 - You can go either way with Rune Warrior’s Chain Armor or Cyclops’ Chain Armor. Either are good. But the Cyclops sets are always pretty hard to get.
Cyclops Chain Armor Set - +80 Physical Attack +120 Defense +10% Strength Increase.
Iron Warrior’s Chain Armor Set - +20 Strength + 100 Physical Critical Hit Rate.
Level 55 - For the level 55 there are many different sets many have great effects.
Devil Slaughter Set+Ancient Tree - What I do is use 3 piece DS and 2 pieces from the Ancient Tree Set which gives +600 Physical Attack from 2 pieces. That gives me more Physical Attack and gives me good critical from the Devil Slaughter set and gives extra 100 damage. Which outweighs the 130 accuracy from the Giant Tree Set. Plus the DS set skill is very nice. So get all 4 pieces then sell 1 piece and get 2 pieces from the Ancient Tree. BOTH drop from Sirloth in Hall of The Demon Lord.
Leveling:
Note: Level your Scout and Warrior to level 35. Then abandon it when you get your Sword Breath. When your Warrior reaches cap level up your Scout with dailies and or quests that you missed. Also don’t go to Reifort, leveling is very, very slow. I would recommend just staying in Silverspring or go back to Logar or Pioneers and level your scout there.
1-10: Utilize your Slash and Shot skills. Always start with Shot and then normal attacks until you gain enough rage for Slash. Just do quests to level up. Don’t forget to get the quest from Lola which is the first Epic Quest line you will encounter.
11-20: Get you level 15 and level 20 elite skills. Insert them by following the skill rotation. Here by killing whirlwind beetles you will find an emblem drop from them. Right click it and accept the quest…that is the second epic quest line you will encounter.
21-30: Obtain your level 25 and level 30 elite skills. You are now able to start doing Necropolis of Mirrors at level 30+ with other level 30+’s in your party.
31-35: Obtain your level 35 elite skill and make sure all your recommended scout skills are maxed. Then abandon your Scout and head off.
36+: Live your life as a W/S and don’t be afraid to say it out loud in World Chat. Level your Warrior to cap then level your Scout to cap.
Macros:
Note: This is for the people that want to use macros. These macros came from the old W/S guide.
(Contributed by Bearcrazy)
Enrage -> Vampire Arrow -> Autoshot -> Shot -> Wind Arrows; while at the same time walking backward away from the target mob.
Since I often forget to cast Enrage, I developed the following macro which always check for the availability of the Enrage skill first before firing.
("5" is my Enrage. "4" is my Vampire Arrow):
/script if ( GetActionUsable(5) ) then UseAction(5); else UseAction(4); end
/wait 0.3
/script if ( GetActionUsable(4) ) then UseAction(4); else end
/wait 0.3
/cast Autoshot
/wait 0.3
/cast Shot
/wait 1.2
/cast Wind Arrows
For Warrior as main, for simplicity sake, I would only include Enrage, Vampire Arrow, Shot, Stun Shot. These would be incorporated into 2 macros.
First macro is to cast Enrage(1) -> Stun Shot(2) -> Vampire Arrow(3):
/script if (GetActionUsable(1)) then UseAction(1); else end
/wait 0.3
/script if (GetActionUsable(2)) then UseAction(2); else UseAction(3); end
/wait 1.2
/script if (GetActionUsable(3)) then UseAction(3); else UseAction(2); end
The reason for this loop around b/w VA and Stun is if a target is outside of the Stun’s rage, the macro would go for VA and then as mob come closer, hopefully close enough to use Stun.
However, if distance is still too far for stun which happens a lot since I usually walk backward as soon as I fire off, we have the second macro.
The second macro involves double if’s and stun shot(2), VA(3) and wind arrows(4):
/script if (GetActionUsable(2)) then UseAction(2); elseif (GetActionUsable(3)) then UseAction(3); else UseAction(4); end
/wait 1.2
/script if (GetActionUsable(3)) then UseAction(3); else UseAction(4); end
These two macros are overlapped this way to ensure stun shot and vampire arrow will be casted.
Patch Notes:
I don’t know of any recent patch updates to the warrior/scout, warrior, or scout. If there are please let me know.
