(First, sorry I forgot to take SS while I was running my experiments. You will just have to trust me on the information I will be providing)

When you summon an egg (i.e. place an egg from your bag into your pet menu), the 5 stats given to the pet is randomly generated within the bounds of the growth ratio.

The big question right now is: what is better? Level up a lower level pet… or get a high level pet? Hopefully my guide can clear up some of these questions. My answer: it is dependent on your pet’s aptitude and how much you are willing to raise that.

I am just going to quickly cover the different ways you can level a pet.

A. Merging

The best and fastest way to level your pet is to merge it with another pet of its own level. Check out my guide on merging to get more information on this.

B. Food

Miller’s Special Cake (+10 XP) and Powerful Pet Growth Potion (+1000 XP) are the two other methods of leveling up your pet. These options are however much more time consuming and/or expensive. Miller’s Special Cake costs 3,500 gold while the Powerful Pet Growth Potion costs 45 Badge of Trials (won from Guild Sieges).

Leveling your pet affects the base Value of your pet’s stats. This means that leveling your pet is actually one of the best ways to affect the assist values which is what you in turn receive from your pet. Pet value growth is based on the following formula:

New Value = Current Value + (Growth Rate / 2) * (Current Aptitude / 100)

As you can tell, if you are planning on leveling your pet, it is best to have as high of an aptitude as possible.

Once again, I apologize for not providing screens. I wrote down the info without taking screenshots. I hope you can just trust that the information I am providing is accurate.

I used 2 Level 2 eggs to raise my Cow Beetle’s level to 3 and got the following results:

As you can see, each time the increase in the base values are equal giving rise to the notion that level increase is based on a set value. That set value is dependent only on the aptitude and growth rate of the pet. From level 2 to 3, it had a growth of 1.77 / 2.13 / 1.42 / 0 / 0. From 3 to 4, it had a growth rate of 1.78 / 2.13 / 1.42 / 0 / 0.

Now if we calculate the pet’s growth rate from the given aptitude, we come up with the following: 1.775 / 2.13 / 1.42 / 0 / 0. The 1.775 explains the difference between the 2->3 and 3->4 growth rate difference. This also tells us that the numbers are rounded down, but still retain information beyond what is just shown.

5. Comparison

I wanted to compare 2 Holy Pet Egg pets that are at 2 different levels to show the possibilities of growth. These were both the initial stats as soon as I spawned the eggs.

If I do not raise the aptitude of the level 2 cow beetle, and simply level it to 29… the cow beetle would end up with the following base values:

From a very quick inspection, the values are relatively close. We can chalk it up to the random generators that we got 2 pets that are now relatively the same build. However, let’s say you took care of your pet a bit more, and leveled it while it had 80 aptitude or possibly even 90 aptitude. What does that do for your pet? Here’s the results:

You can see that there is drastic improvement on the pet that is leveled with 90 aptitude. Almost a 25% better base value set. Understand these numbers are generated with ideal conditions (which is near impossible to do). And you must understand that leveling a pet from a low level (<5) to a moderate level (>20) will take… a very long time.

However, if you are willing to put in the work, you can definitely raise up a pet with very nice stats as long as you first raise its aptitude to a high enough level.

How do I merge my pets? Simple! Look at the following window

The agent pet will be the pet RECEIVING. The re-agent pet will be the pet GIVING. The agent pet will be boosted while the re-agent pet will be destroyed. Very important! Left stays, right dies!!

Pets cannot be currently summoned to have them merged. Recall all pets in order to begin the merging process.

Pets can only be merged with another pet of the same element or a none-type. So if you have a Dark pet, you can only merge it with another Dark pet or a None pet. A None pet can only be merged with another None type pet.

Pets can only be merged with a pet of its same level or lower. Meaning, the re-agent pet must be equal or less than the level of the agent pet.

When you are ready to merge, press the button in the middle to merge the pets. The button named ‘Pair Merging’ involves the use of a Cash Shop item that we do not have yet.

A pet can only be merged w/ 3 other pets a day!!

So the all important question, how do I boost my pet’s stats. Whenever you accept a pet egg into your interface, its base stats are randomly generated closely following the growth attributes of the egg. These stats play an important role in how stats are transferred in a merge. Stats are transferred REGARDLESS of pet level. Here’s the formula:

Stat gain = (Re-agent pet stat – Agent pet stat) * 0.45
Stat gain only applies if (Re-agent pet stat > Agent pet stat)

If you look in the example, the bear has the following stats:
12 / 9 / 1 / 5 / 6

The crow has the following stats:
13 / 12.42 / 6.24 / 3.79 / 2.64

The positive difference between the two is:
1 / 3.42 / 5.24 / 0 / 0

Multiply the above by 0.45:
0.45 / 1.539 / 2.358 / 0 / 0

Round up to nearest hundreth decimal place:
0.45 / 1.54 / 2.36 / 0 / 0
Which is the result we see in the merge image.

4. Experience
===========

Everyone keeps asking, "How do I level my pet?" One way is by merging. This portion IS DEPENDENT on the two pet levels. Here’s the formula:

XP Gain = (1000) / (Agent pet level – Re-agent pet level + 1)
Same level -> 1000 XP
1 level diff -> 500 XP
2 level diff -> 333 XP

In the example, we have a level 10 crow merging into a level 12 bear. So,
XP Gain = (1000) / (12 – 10 + 1)
XP Gain = (1000) / (2 + 1)
XP Gain = (1000) / (3)
XP Gain = 333 XP
We can verify this number in the merge screen.

Regardless of level or rarity, when you merge a pet, all of the re-agent pet’s training will go into the agent pet’s training. New pet eggs come with the following:

Non-Rune pet egg = 50 Training
Rune pet egg = 100 Training

New Training = Current Agent pet training + Reagent pet training

I just created the Bear in the screens so you can see that he has 50 training. The Crow I had been training for a little bit longer and had 1850 training on it. So,

New Training = 50 + 1850
New Training = 1900

6. Aptitude
===========

Aptitude of a pet will be transferred REGARDLESS of level. The reagent pet’s aptitude must be higher than that of the agent’s aptitude for there to be an increase. Here’s the formula:

Aptitude gain = (Reagent Aptitude – Agent Aptitude) / 4
The following condition must be true: Reagent Aptitude > Agent Aptitude

In the example, the crow has 73.94 while the bear has 68.
Aptitude gain = (73.94 – 68) / 4
Aptitude gain = (5.94) / 4
Aptitude gain = 1.485 (round down)
Aptitude gain = 1.48
Can be verified in merge screen.

You can of course simply go to the auction house (AH) and buy some, but that stuff is EXPENSIVE. You should start to think about making your own. 

How do you do that? It’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it. First order of business is at level 10 go to Varanas Class hall and get that transmuter activated! You will also need charges to go into it. You’ll get 10 free ones to get started shortly, you can buy them with diamonds, or phirius tokens, so click that gift shop icon and start saving!

Now we’ve got the basics done, you’re ready to go. Let’s say you’re a warrior. You like axes right? Of course you do. Let’s get a nice weapon going here. First, we have to find one. Go to the AH and look for items your level or slightly below. Here’s one! Didn’t cost much either.

Notice the durability is over 100? This gives you a +20% bonus on all stats. Yes. That’s a good thing. You will always want to try and find a clean item (with no stats underneath the description) that is OD (over durability). If the durability is in white, it’s a substandard item for the most part and wait until you find an OD one. Best OD is 115-125, because it allows for equipment damage.

Ok. It’s off to Varanas. You’ll see why in a second.

Go to the Southwest corner and you’ll see three guys sitting in a line.

We want to talk to the guy I highlighted. We’ll talk about the others in another post. When talking, ask what he has for sale. You’ll see this screen pop up. Yes, he’s the fusion stone seller.

For purposes of this post, I’m just going to take the second one down on the Left side. I’m looking to quickly get three identical fusion stones. When first starting out, be prepared to buy about 15 of these before you get 3 identical ones. I just created a new toon to be nothing but a carrier for fusion stones and eventually mana stones. The new toon should be able to access the mailbox, the AH, and the housemaid.

AWESOME! I have finally found three identical fusion stones! They all look like this.

I will need three items to combine with the three fusion stones that have DIFFERENT stats. Since I’m making a warrior weapon, I’d like to have Stamina and Strength. Let’s head over to the AH and see what’s available…..

After some lengthy searching, I’ve found three items that are suitable. Doesn’t matter if you can use them or not, we’re just ripping a stat off them. They should have a single stat, or a yellow one. AND ONLY ONE. 

Here they are:

Power X stat is strength, Strength X is for strength, and Stamina X is for Stamina. Perfect!

You should now have the item you want to stat, three identical fusion stones, and three items similar to the above, but with the stats you want on your gear. Now the fun part.

Open your inventory by pressing "B" or whatever hotkey you’ve designated for your inventory. We’re looking for 

Hitting that button will open this window:

Note the charges in red. Once these hit zero, you will have to get more. Now place one of the fusion stones in a slot, and one of the items you want to rip a stat from. Once you have confirmed it is a correct in the preview window, press "confirm".

Notice that this is a tier 3 mana stone. Make sure that all of the items you have to rip stats from will give you a tier 3. Higher level items may give you a tier 4, and lower level items will give you a tier 2 or even a tier 1! You cannot combine different tiers on the same item you want to stat. ALWAYS verify the preview! Ok, let’s do the other two.

Now, you should have three tier 3 mana stones. Let’s load them in with the item you want to stat….

Double check the preview, verify that you have six stats, including the three you originally ripped from the other three items, and press "Confirm". Congratulations. You now have something nice that looks like this:

Some basic rules of thumb. Fusion stones all have different stats, if you are making a warrior weapon, you might want to pick 12k fusion stones that have slightly more endearing stats than intelligence, or dexterity. Shop. Shop. Shop. Pay attention to what you’re buying. 

Buy items to stat that you can use immediately. Blues are preferred if they are clean, or even purples that are clean, since the different colors give higher bonuses and abilities. Most you see will be white. Also remember that blue and purple also cost much more to begin with. 

Once you make an item, it’s NOT BOUND. You can easily sell it in the AH once you upgrade or buy a better piece of gear. It’s a good investment.

You should think about having at least 500k before starting this, since the initial purchase of fusion stones to get three identical may well run you 250k!

Items like this are fairly easy to sell in the AH and command between 150-350k. Good profit ratio. Want to craft to sell? Check the AH and find out what there is NOT a lot of. These will then sell faster. Currently it’s Belts and Boots. Cloaks are good too.

This post we will go into Yellow Statting. Still dirty statting because we’re using Fusion Stones purchased from in-game vendors. After doing lots of quests, and such, and since I’m a packrat, I frequently end up with low grade yellow statted items Such as these three.

After looking over a few of these, since I was making guides tonight, I decided to give a brief overview of what do do with these. With green stats, they are ranked from I to XII. Generally yellow stats are crap unless they are VI or VII or even VIII, when they can actually serve some purpose. Since we have Dex on two of these, and some stamina, I decided to make a beginner crossbow. Appears scouts like Dexterity. 

This didn’t sell on the AH, so I canceled the auction, and sent it to my statting guru. I hopped over to my fusion stone storage toon, and promptly found three identical fusion stones. They were this:

I double checked that all these items would give me similar mana stones.

And then finally ended up with this:

Now, was this a waste of four charges and 40k for the fusion stones? Yes and no. I would glady pay 40k to have the images to do this second part of the statting guide. I can probably and will probably sell this in the AH for about 100k. Most importantly, you can see that yellow stats transfer the same as green stats. The important part to note is that yellow has two inherent abilities while green only has one. This is what makes the yellows so desirable when you start farming for yellow stats VII and VIII.

Notice that the item itself jumped from Tier 1 to Tier 3 because Tier 3 mana stones were used to stat this. Had I ended up with good yellow stats, I would have most likely ended up with 3x Tier 4 mana stones, further enhancing this level 8 noobie bow.

Bear in mind that this will work with ANY yellow stats, and of course this is still considered "dirty statting"

And hey, I ended up with a bonus since this crossbow had a rune hole to begin with! ROFL.

I. Introduction

In order to transmute and upgrade your weapons, and possible your armor later on, this guide will provide you with some of the most basic arcane transmutor information that you will need to know.

A. Background Information

Tiering your weapon is the best way to increase your damage output. For every tier a weapon is upgraded above its base tier, it will inherit an additional 10% bonus to its base damage.

For example, if you have a weapon that is originally tier 1 and you upgrade it to tier 2, that weapon will have its base damage increased by 10%. If you have a weapon that is originally tier 1 and you upgrade it to tier 3, that weapon will have its base damage increased by 20%.

B. What is Required

In order to begin tiering your weapon, you must be level 10 and have your arcane transmutor activated. You can activate your arcane transmutor by going to the Varanas Class Hall and completing the simple, easy quest given by a guy located in the back of the room. Upon completing this quest, your arcane transmutor will be activated and you will receive 10 free arcane transmutor charges. You can now access your arcane transmutor by clicking the Gift Box Icon located at the bottom of your Backpack.

C. Materials You Will Need

To tier your weapon, you will need a few supplies. For the purposes of this guide, the quickest and easiest tier for newbies is tier 3. More information regarding higher tiers can be found in the next section.

Tier 3 Supply List
3x Random Fusion Stone (From the Enchanter in Lower City West, Varanas)
3x Tier 3 Equipment, Weapon, or Armor (From a Merchant in Mercenary Square, Obsidian Stronghold)
4x Arcane Transmutor Charge

II. Preparation

Now it is time to prepare for the final product. You will need to find the right weapon and create the mana stones which will be used to tier your weapon.

A. Find the Right Weapon

Do not upgrade a weapon that is not going to last very long. Look for the highest durability possible, the highest base damage possible, and consider finding one that is "white" so you can trade it amongst your different characters or sell it when you are done using it. If the weapon is a really good "blue" or "purple", then by all means, continue with the upgrade and disregard finding a "white" to replace it.

If you have a weapon with 100 durability or higher, the weapon will automatically inherit an additional 20% bonus. The durability bonus will stack with the bonus gained from upgrading the weapon’s tier. That’s an easy 40% damage bonus if you upgrade a tier 1 high durability weapon to tier 3.

B. Create the Mana Stones

Mana stones are the basic upgrade stones that are used to tier your weapon. Mana stones have a specific tier, just like all other equipment, weapons, and armor. Having 3 mana stones of the same tier can be used to upgrade your weapon to that specific tier. Mana stones have many other uses, but they will not be covered in this guide.

Mana stones are created by using 1 fusion stone and 1 piece of equipment in the arcane transmutor. When tiering your weapon, do not be concerned with the stats of the fusion stones, equipment you use, or the outcome of the mana stones. Tiering your weapon is for the added base damage output, not the stats. You should only worry about stats on your armor where it matters the most.

Open up your arcane transmutor and put 1 fusion stone and 1 piece of equipment in any of the empty blocks. You will notice a "Mana Stone Tier 3" in the preview block. Until you confirm the transmutation, you will not receive that mana stone. Go ahead and confirm the transmutation of that mana stone and move it to your inventory once complete. Rinse and repeat this until you have 3x Mana Stone Tier 3. Once you have done that, you are ready to complete the process and tier up your weapon.

[Below is for Advanced Users Only]

If you are tiering your weapon to anything above tier 3, you will need to combine 3 of the same tier mana stones in the arcane transmutor to create a mana stone that is 1 tier higher. For example, if you put 3x Mana Stone Tier 3 in the arcane transmutor, your outcome will be 1x Mana Stone Tier 4. You will need to do this 3 times until you have 3x Mana Stone Tier 4. You can then use the 3x Mana Stone Tier 4 with your weapon to upgrade that weapon to tier 4, or you can simply combine the 3x Mana Stone Tier 4 to get 1x Mana Stone tier 5.

Tier 4 mana stones are the highest mana stones you can make without having to combine the stones for higher tiers. Tier 3 mana stones are the easiest to make by using all vendor fusion stones and vendor items. Tier 4 mana stones are easy to make, but they can only be made by combining a fusion stone with a tier 3 level 50 "purple" item.

For most players, it’s almost impossible to get a high quantity of level 50 "purple" items to transmute for tier 4 stones, so this guide will assume that players are generally using tier 3 stones in the beginning and will combine those to create higher tiers.

III. Finalization

Now is the time to finalize your weapon by tiering it up with the mana stones you created previously.

A. Tier It Up

Go ahead, place the weapon you would like to upgrade into the arcane transmutor along with 3 of the same tier mana stones. Check the preview to make sure everything is correct before hitting the confirm button.

B. Additional Information

Here is a table with the required number of arcane transmutor charges in order to make 3 stones of the same tier for upgrading your weapon:

Tier 1: 4 Charges (3 for mana stones, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 2: 4 Charges (3 for mana stones, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 3: 4 Charges (3 for mana stones, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 4: 13 Charges (4 for each tier 4 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 5: 40 Charges (13 for each tier 5 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 6: 121 Charges (40 for each tier 6 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 7: 364 Charges (121 for each tier 7 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 8: 1093 Charges (364 for each tier 8 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 9: 3280 Charges (1093 for each tier 9 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)
Tier 10: 9841 Charges (3280 for each tier 10 mana stone, 1 for weapon finalization)

Before i begin let me inform you that each item has a total of 6 slots not including ghost stats or rune slots
. Ghost stats and rune slot stats DO NOT carry over if you decide to make a mana stone out of an item with existing stats on it.

Also keep in mind when stating out items if you it looks like the item will have more than 6 named stats on it that the game only lets the item keep the 6 LOWEST stats .ie higher lvl stats get bumped off if there isnt room.

When looking for items you want to stat out, my advice to you is to ONLY stat out items that have no stats on them to begin with and have over 100 durability(overdura) that way you dont have to waste golden repair hammers to gain the +20% power modifier.
(if you have the advanced auction mod installed when looking thru item categories you can put $clean and $dura in the filter boxes to have it only Search for clean over dura items).

**** Epidemic Stats referenced in this guide have now been renamed Stormstrike in game.****

Dirty Stats: Green stats with names next to them for example Epidemic X, Stamina I, Strength I , Energy I. these stats DO count against the total on an item and each one uses one slot. ( ie:any green stat that isnt a ghost stat.)

Ghost Stats: Stats gained by refining items with jewels OR that come on some crafted and dropped items in instances by default. these stats do NOT have a name next to them on the right side of the item and they DO NOT count against the total stats for the item.ie they dont take any slots.

Clean Stats: Yellow stats that usually have two stats for each one name for example Barbarian has strength and physical attack, these stats are usually found on set items, crafted items or instance drops.each one of these counts for 1 slot but since they have two stats per one name you can fit 12 of these on an item, it’s the ideal way to stat out your gear if you plan on keeping it for a LONG time as it does get expensive. There are also Orange stats that count as clean stats too but they only drop off of the demonlord instance in the volcano zone so far, each one of these has 3 stats per name so you can fit up to 18 stats on an item using these.

Fusion Stones: Stones bought either from the enchanting vendor in towns or off of auction house that contain from 1 to 3 green stats on them usually lvl 1 higher lvl stats on fusion stones is a rarity.And to my knowledge only gained thru buying random fusion stones.These stones are used along with stated items to make mana stones.

Mana Stones: Stones created by transmuting Fusion stones and items with stats on them together using the arcane transmutor and then used to either make higher tiered mana stones or stat out an item.Keep in mind the tier of the item you transmute your fusion stone with will indicate the tier of the mana stone you will make, ie Tier 3 is the most commonly used.

Arcane Transmutor: Device unlocked in varanas at lvl 10 that comes with 10 charges which you will use to transmute items to make mana stones and to stat out your items, tier them out and make runes, each use takes charges which can be obtained thru daily tokens at the rate of 30 per 1 charge from the NPC in varanas that originally unlocks it , OR 300 for 10 from the item shop or 29 diamonds for 10 from the item shop as well. On average if you make the mana stones yourself to stat out an item each item is going to cost you 4 charges 3 to make the mana stones and one to put the stats from the mana stones on said item.

Now onto the actual guide part of this post

Dirty stating an item:
Or as some call it Green stating an item, or junk stating.
(keep in mind this is assuming you have an item with no stats on it to begin with and that this item is overdurability ie over 100 durability).

1. Purchase 3 fusion stones with matching stats on them , ( if using advanced auction mod you can put Fusion Stone into the search box and each of these stats into the filter box to have it search for fusion stones with ONLY these stats on them for example Strength I, Stamina I and Dexterity I which i will be referencing these stats for the rest of this guide).

2. Purchase 3 items with single green stats on them that are all tier 3. For the purposes of this guide i will be using Epidemic IX , Epidemic X and Physique IX(once again if you have advanced auction you can put these stats into the filter boxes check the or boxes next to the 2nd and 3rd ones and leave the search field blank and go thru each item category one at a time to find your items with stats on them.) The reason i chose these stats is because they’re relatively cheap to purchase and i have experience stating out a rogue/scout so substitute you’re classes stats where needed .

3. Open the arcane transmutor and place one fusion stone in one of the four boxes around the middle box, then place one of the single green stated items into the middle, i’m going to use the item with Epidemic X on it for this example. There should now be a tier 3 mana stone show up in the preview box that has Strength I , Dexterity I, Stamina I, and Epidemic X on it. Click confirm and make your mana stone.

4. Repeat this process with the remaining two fusion stones and the remaining two items until you have a total of 3 tier 3 mana stones. that should look like this : All should have Strength I, Dexterity I and Stamina I on them, one should have these stats + epidemic X on it, another should have them + epidemic IX on it, and the last one should have them +Physique IX on it.

5. Place the 3 tier mana stones into the transmutor in the boxes surrounding the middle one and the item you wish to stat out into the middle box, the item that is in the middle box should show up in the preview box with the following stats on it, Strength I , stamina I, Dexterity I,Epidemic IX , Physique IX , and Epidemic X. Confirm and you have your item.

Now as stated above these stats were purely used for the example substitute your needed stats if they are different, the overall premise remains the same tho.

Creating higher Tier mana stones to Tier out an item:

The whole concept of tiering only applies to weapons and armor not accessories or trinkets because when you tier out an item ie increase its tier level , the base attack and mattack on weapons increase and the phys/magic Def on armor increases , since accessories and trinkets have none of these its useless to tier them out beyond whatever tier mana stones you use to put stats on them in the first place.

This process assumes you’ve read the first part of this guide and know how to create tier 3 mana stones, if not go back an read it.
Also please bear in mind this example is to give you a basic understanding of how to tier something out NOT a be all to end all.

1. Create 3 tier 3 mana stones with matching stats on them clean dirty etc doesnt matter, however if they’re clean you may wanna make 3 stones with 12 stats on them instead.

2. Throw these 3 stones into the arcane transmutor together and a tier 4 mana stone with all the stats the tier 3 stones had on them should show up(this is why i said to make them match so you still only have 6 slots worth of stats for when you eventually use them on the item you want tiered out).Confirm and you have your tier 4 mana stone, repeat this process two more times with the same stats you had on your first 3 tier 3 mana stones to gain 2 more tier 4 mana stones, and then you can make them into a tier 5 mana stone, and so on until tier 9.

Thats basicly it to tiering all you do when you reach the desired tier of stone and have 3 of them with matching stats is transmute those stones with the item you want tiered out and it will make the item whatever tier mana stone you have used + add the stats you have on those stones to that item.

Rune Forging:

This is cake , all you have to do is find two runes of the same lvl that will actually transmute into a combo rune or another rune of the type desired and transmute them, OR if you want to make your runes higher level before doing this, you get 5 of the same lvl rune and turn them into one of the next lvl up rune.

Now for those that need a more detailed explanation i’m going to use resistance III and endurance III runes in my example.

1. Put the resistance III and endurance III runes in the outside boxes of the arcane transmutor , an atonement III rune will show up in the preview box which is a two stat rune. confirm and you’ve made your rune.

2. Leveling up a rune : take 5 resistance III runes stacked and put them into the arcane transmutor , a resistance IV rune will show up in the preview, confirm and you’ve made your resistance IV rune.

3. Also when rune forging combo runes if i had 5 of each of the runes in my example, the transmutor would have then made 5 atonement III runes at once, however it would have cost me 5 charges.

I am not sure, but would guess the guild starts at level 1. From there you have to donate resources to the guild through the guild tab window (Default “g”). As you donate more and more, you guild will level (to my knowledge, the guild leader actually has to be online and level the guild when resources are high enough). Here is an old breakdown of what you needed for each level. Please make comments so we can update any info as needed.

(Note: It is best to refine the resources down one time then donate it to the guild. It gives more points that way.)

IE:

If you donate 1 zinc ore you get 1 point (no refinement, takes 1 resource) 
If you donate 1 zinc sand you get 3 points (first refinement, takes 2 resources)

After donating your building mats to the guild you just visit the Guild Manager npc in Varanas either on west or east wing right beside the housekeeper then click on I want to build a castle.

Information: 
First off, travel to Silvarspring and go to Varanas City. At Varanas City bridge you will see a NPC, Lieve [Teleporter], click on her and teleport to the Varanas City Guild Hall.

Once you have finally teleported, walk all the way at the end of the room to the NPC, Guild Establishment Administrator. Click on the NPC with a party of three including yourself and pay the fee of 100k. 

(Note: *that the party member does not have to be with you when you form your guild.*) 

After paying the administration fee, this will give you a temporary guild. Then, you have to find four other players who are also not in a guild to join yours. When four players have joined your guild, go back to the Guild Establishment Administrator to upgrade to a full guild. 

Finally, when you’re done making your guild official go to the, Guild Flag Administrator NPC to make your guild flag. You have several flags and colors to choose from.

When you’re done confirming and paying your 30k fee. Make sure you press "G" to bring up your guild interface. Once you have done that, you should see the Guild Resources button. Click it and you can see what resources you need to upgrade your guild.

(Note: *Upgrading your guild makes room for more members, each lvl you go up. More things will be added in Open Beta when you upgrade your guild.*)

How to get a guild castle!

You need guild lvl 7 first. Getting guild lvl 7 you just need to donate resources to your guild and upgrade. After getting guild lvl 7 you need to gather 15k herbs, 15k wood, 15k ore and donate 350k gold to the guild to build your castle. (doesnt matter what kind of mats you gather as long as its herbs, wood and ore.) After donating your building mats to the guild you just visit the Guild Manager npc in Varanas either on west or east wing right beside the housekeeper then click on "I want to build a castle".

Then you are done and successfully build your guild castle! Congratulations!

Getting Into Siege/Startup

NOTE: I am using the guildpanel addon; my interface WILL NOT be the same as most people’s. Buttons will be removed, some are even added. This screen shows all guilds that are registered for siege, and, during the prep stage, it also gives you the name of who you are fighting. Eventually, each guild will gain points by winning, and lose some by losing, so there will be some equality during the sieges.

Here is the battle screen:

This screen has three buttons on the bottom of it. the left button is Register. Only available to the Guild Leader, this button allows a guild to register for siege if they are level 7 and have a castle. Also, you can ONLY register if it is an hour AFTER siege is over, and BEFORE Preperation Stage. If you miss this time, you will have to wait until the next day for siege.

The Next button is the cancel registration button. If the guild opts to pull out, the leader can choose this. NOTE THAT THIS CANNOT BE DONE DURING REGISTRATION PHASE / BATTLE PHASE.

The final button is Enter battle. When Siege war begins, all guild members must press this button to be transported to the battle immediately, as long as they are not in a no-transportation area (Instance, residence, etc.)

Now, when you first get into the map, you will see a giant crystal in front of you. This is your Guild Honor Crystal and if you lose it, you lose. Depending on the amount of towers that are taken when your crystal falls, the time for you to reclaim it changes.

If 0-5 towers are taken by the enemy
The crystal must be retaken within 5 minutes, or your guild will lose.

If all 6 towers have been captured by the enemy
When your Honor Crystal has been taken like this, your guild loses. Immeditaely. No ifs, ands or buts.

Next is currency within the Siege. Gold can still be used to buy poisons, and ammo, but other than that, it is completely useless. The two types of currencies in Siege are Merits and Crystals. merits and Crystals are shown in the window that resembles a crystal that is on the top right of your screen. 

The Guild Siege Info Screen (Menu)

There are two modes to the Guild Siege Menu; simple mode, there there is no background, and advanced mode, which can be attained by right clicking the gem. Advanced mode is HIGHLY reccommended. Here is advanced mode:

In the center of the menu, is the crystal that shows your side. (hopefully you know your own guild anyways, but that’s besides the point) 

Under the guild names is a number, with a sword next to it. This is the number of guild members that are participating. Note that numbers are decieving. I have had many times where there have been 5 members, but they are all so powerful that we have a hard time holding our own.

Under the number of guild members participating, is a crystal icon. this shows how many crystals your guild has, as well as the enemy’s. note that when one guild has a lot and another had few, this indicates a guild has spent a lot on siege weapons, upgrades, and etc. Always try to spend your crystals if it is not a problem; that is what they are there for.

Note that Crystals are gained equally in proportion to Merits. This means for every merit a player picks up, 1 Crystal is added to to stockpile.
In the middle, under the crystal, is a timer (Bugged in this screenshot) when it is working, it counts down to the end of the mission. If no guild has successfully conquered the other’s Honor Crystal, then it is a tie, no matter the towers gained by the opponent.

Under that is a tally of your Merits. This is not a guild score! This simply is a quick reference to show how many you have in your pack at any time.

Underneath all this is the Morale Bar, or so I have named it. Morale is gained when you capture a tower or the opponent’s honor crystal; because there are 2 Honor Crystals and 6 towers, there is never more than 10000 morale at a time. Towers are worth 1000 morale, and Honor crystals are worth 2000 morale. Note, as stated above, if your morale at any time drops to 0 (through loss of all towers and the Honor Crystal) your guild immediately loses.

Currency

Merits: The main currency. This can be gotten in several ways.

1: Kill an enemy guild member. (Merits: 3-5, depending on allies nearby)
2: Kill a balloon monster next to the castle (Merits: 3-5 depending on how many allies are nearby)
3: Kill an Elite Balloon Monster (Merits: 10-20 Depending on allies)
4: Gather from a Tower (Merits: 1-3 randomly every 5 seconds; reccomended for low levels)

Crystals. The secondary Currency. Crystals are gained evenly with merits. for ever merit you gather, one crystal is added to your guild’s crystal coffers.

Towers

These are giant structures dotted around the map that are guarded by 3 guards; two normal elites and a boss Captain. Towers can be clicked on to gather merits (albeit slowly), so is a good place for lowbies to go to gather merits. (Levels 50+ are best killing balloons next to the castle)

The most effective method of capturing towers is with a 3 or 4 man group consisting of:

1 Tank (probably 25k HP+)
1 Healer (Have to keep tank alive!)
2 others, any class, to capture tower while the guards are busy.

Traps

Now, you are a new guild, just built a castle, and have no damn idea how to defend your castle. Well, next to your towers (yours, not the enemy’s!) you will find two clickable "Banners" these are actually SHOPS! Traps cost Merits, which you can gather as listed under "Currency" section.

Note that traps are VERY easily dispatched with siege weapons. if your opponent has siege weapons, you will probably need to either hide traps, or not use them at all.

In the Shop, (besides the ammo and poisons) you can buy TRAPS!

There are 3 Traps, and 1 weapon in this shop.

Trap 1: Sea Washed Stone

This trap is good when your opponent has many mages. This trap randomly casts Silence on all enemies around it.

Priority:2 This trap is good to have, but not to many. Your merits can be spent on other things if the enemy doesnt have a lot of mages or healers.

Trap 2: Face of Treachery (Hidden behind the info window)

Oh my GOD this trap is awesome. This trap randomly hits ALL enemies nearby, knocking them down 3 times repeatedly! Multiples of this trap are VERY hard to get past!

Priority: 1 You NEED these traps if you are facing a guild with no siege weapons! This is a perfect anti-troop trap!

Trap 3: Eye of True Knowledge

This trap is mediocre. you might want one or two here and there, but other than that, ditch em. All they do is reveal and stun any hidden rogues that pass by.

Priority: 3 You only need maybe 1 per tower/gate, unless the enemy is using rogues a lot.

Weapon 1: Bursting Beetles

Fighting enemies stronger wthan you? These are your friend! Place these on an enemy and after a short time, they explode, doing MASSIVE damage!

Defense 1: Insect Repellant Flower

Want to make sure you don’t explode violently? Grab a few of these. these can be used to remove Bursting Beetles!

Structures

Now, all structures that you have built OUTSIDE of guild siege is available to you to buff you in the battle. Buffs include massive defense increases and speed increases, depending on the building. I will be posting screenshots of the abilities of every building soon. 

Most of the time, Buffs cost both Merits AND Crystals. This is one of the only ways you can spend crystals.

The Arsenal

Who DOESN’T like smashing down an enemy’s walls with a gigantic Iron ram? Who else enjoys skewering their foes with a giant ballista?

If you enjoy this part of siege (Or just liked how it looked in the trailer) you need the Arsenal. The Arsenal allows your guild to build MOBILE SIEGE WEAPONS. This will help in taking down those pesky gates, especially when the opponent’s healers are continuously healing them.

The Arsenal comes with three levels of operation. To advance to the next level, it is 200 merits and 200 Crystals. To use a siege weapon, buy it, and then right click it while you are next to the Arsenal.

The first level (Basic) Has only 1 mobile weapon: The Ram. The Ram can hold up to 2 people inside. the more people, the faster it moves. Rams are ONLY good at attacking fortifications. they are WORTHLESS against PCs. You can also build portable catapult and ballista turrent packs, allowing you to set them up where one is missing, saving merits (These cost crystals only)

Next level is Advanced mode. This allows you to build the weapons you saw in the trailer. A massive mobile ballista, a giant triple headede catapult, and a huge protected ram are all yours… for a very large merit and crystal cost.

The Final level is Master Mode. I have not achieved this yet. This level is unknown to me, but using Itempreview I have seen a giant Lion-Headed Ram, among other interesting things. mostly though, I suggest sticking to advanced unless your opponents are HEAVILY dug in.

Now, some screenshots of the rams in action.

The simple ram. Very weak, but effective. does 15k Damage to the gates every 5 seconds.

The Iron Rams. These things tear through any gate. They do 30k normally, and 50k Criticals to gates!

The Third Tier ram, Lion Head Ram. When you have it filled with guildies, it does 100k damage to enemy gates. 
Kudos to Shadowsofwinter guild for fighting back so vehemently we had to break these out.

God Mode 
(Also known as The Herald of the Guild, and other names, but I like God Mode)

This is an option for those who do not wish to spend on guild buildings. The first person to gather 1000 merits and return to THEIR guild honor crystal will gain this mode.

The following stats are given to the player:

+10,000 HP
+25% Defense, both magic and physical
+25% Attack, both magic and physical
+100% size

Not only do they gain these massive bonuses, but they also recieve an awesome set of skills that buffs the ENTIRE GUILD at once!

Here is a screenshot of the skills:

Skill 1: Summoning Tornado

Cooldown: 8 Minutes

This skill channels the power of the Tempest through you, going streight forward and damaging all enemies caught by its deadly blast. VERY useful for killing enemies attacking a gate.

Skill 2: Thunder Force

Cooldown: 6 Minutes

This skill buffs your entire guild with the same speed as a Speed sigil for a limited time (10 seconds) Personally, I think it is a useless skill, except for reinforcing your position in an enemy castle (Allows reinforcements to get there faster)

Skill 3: Raise Morale

Cooldown: 6 Minutes

This skill allows you to buff your ENTIRE GUILD with a superbuff that causes their MAX HP to be restored Every Second for 5 seconds.

Skill 4: Fearless

Cooldown: 3 minutes

This skill makes every guild member evade the next attack within 15 seconds. During this time, however, the Herald cannot use ANY abilities.

Skill 5: Ironblood Army Spirit

Cooldown: 5 Minutes

This skill raises Critical hits by a large percentage. While I am not sure myself on what this core is, I was told by a guildie it is anywhere within 100-200%

Skill 6: Summon Guild Honor Guard

Cooldown: Who cares? This dude is epic!!! (15 minutes)

This skill calls forth a giant Guild honor Guard to fight by your side! This Guild Honor Guard has the same stats as a Guild Guard Captain, butDoubled. Yup, this dude is epic. The only bad part about this skill is that it has a MASSIVE recharge time, and also it MUST be used next to a tower, with the exception of the Honor Crystal Tower.

With this guy, I alone can walk up to an enemy tower (as long as no other PCs are guarding it and there are not many traps) and use this skill, then, while the Honor Guard is drawing the guards away and fighting them, I capture the tower! Then, when the tower is captured, the enemy hasFOUR guards to fight instead of three!

We managed to complete all of Treasure Trove (including all five bosses) with a party of only 4 players… it was very difficult, but we managed to get through all of it while wiping only once or twice. This is our second attempt at Treasure Trove — our first being a full party of 6.

I would usually upload a series of videos in threads similar to this, but our strategies for Talomo and Snow Blake weren’t really that amazing, nor were they very clean (a lot of kite-tanking and several party members dying), so I haven’t really decided whether or not I’ll upload the videos — it all depends if there’s demand for me to do so.

The party composition was:

• sniperbob – K/W

The ‘trash’ mobs were harder than the bosses themselves..

1.) Will’s Curse (the squid boss)

Strategy: 
You’ll have to fight four ‘fake’ bosses (~500K HP) before the real one will spawn (~700K HP). We usually just click the chalices from left to right to spawn the bosses — the ordering doesn’t seem to really matter.

The fake bosses are cake, and shouldn’t be an issue. However, it might be beneficial to practice strategies on the fake ones before attempting the real boss; note that all of the bosses will randomly turn party members into either cups or skeletons. If a party member gets turned into a cup, you can free him by clicking on the cup. Alternatively, if a party member gets turned into a skeleton, you will need a M/P to purify the debuff. If the main tank is a skeleton for a prolonged time, it’s pretty much a guaranteed wipe.

2.) Loyal Talomo

Strategy: 
This boss has a permanent buff that decreases almost all physical and magical damage by a significant factor. There are some fire pits around the boss; if you click on one of them, you’ll be given an interrogation needle. The needle lasts for 20 seconds in your inventory, and if you right-click it while you have the boss targeted, his permanent buff will be deactivated for a short amount of time. Do NOT click on all of the fire pits at once, only click on them one at a time as necessary. 

DoTs remain unaffected, so stack those on as much as possible. It seems unlikely that it’s possible to down the boss in the small timeframes the interrogation needles give you, so this fight usually lasts a long, long time. The boss has a cannon AOE which EVERYONE has to run away from, as it hits multiple times for 4k+ each. We ended up needing to kitetank it.

3.) Boulder Sidaar

Strategy:
This boss is a pretty simple tank and spank. One thing to note, though, is that he reflects either physical or magical attacks, depending on which buff he has on. The physical attack reflection buff is an orange icon, while the magical attack reflection buff is a blue icon. You get hit for 1200 HP every time an attack gets reflected, so make sure the tank immediately stops attacking when the orange icon is up; as a result of this, aggro control is a legitimate concern.

4.) Lookout Luke

Strategy:
This is probably the easiest boss of the five, if you have a good enough tank; it’s another simple tank and spank, however there is a countdown-based attack (aptly named "xxxxx") which he can unleash on the tank for multiple hits. In our case, we had to keep the priest well informed of the countdown timer, so that the tank can survive all of the successive hits.

5.) Snow Blake

Strategy: 

This is the hardest boss by far. She teleports you to her and then uses an AOE called "Queen Bomb" on you for 50K flat damage — you can run away from the AOE, but in the latter half of the fight she will also cast an AOE root before she teleports you, which, if you don’t get rid of, will result in immediate death. 

We don’t really have a clean strategy for this fight. Our strategy involves everyone other than two people staying dead… the biggest problem is the root; not every class can unroot themselves, so those who cannot are generally just left dead. Most noteably, the tank will have to be able to unroot himself, otherwise he’ll be dead when the AOE hits. You might think that a priest will be able to cleanse the root off the tank, but there’s a cooldown on cleanse which will result in the priest still being rooted and ultimately dead from the imminent Queen Bomb AOE.

However, it seems that self-damaging skills will break you out of the root. So in our case, we used an R/S with Blood Arrow constantly on (-200 HP per tick) to kitetank Snow Blake while the priest cleanses himself everytime he gets rooted and also constantly popping regens and heals on the kitetanker. It is a slow strategy, but it works, so we’re not really complaining.

Yes, this means that other party members are left to fend for thsemselves (aka, left to die), and yes, this also means that Snow Blake is ultimately doable as a duo. This fight is one of the main reasons why I’m reluctant to upload the videos, as it’s rather cheesy… we hope that we’ll find a solution to the root and/or Queen Bomb AOE sometime soon.

Trash Mobs - To Boss #1

• Trash Clear Execution - There isn’t really anything special about the mobs on the way to 1st boss. Depending on your tank’s stats and your heals, you can either straight-up tank the groups of mobs or use crowd control and the druid’s "turn" skill Spirit Guidance to your advantage. Make sure you closely watch the start and endpoints for every patrol in relation to each other and pull at the opportune time. A badly-timed pull can kill even an overstatted group easily, so be careful not to just power through the trash mobs.
• Spirit Guidance - This druid skill will turn an enemy mob into your ally for a set period of time. If you use it on a mob with other mobs in close proximity to it, the other mobs will attack it for the duration of the debuff. If you use this skill at the right times and on the right groups, you can clear entire rooms with ease. The mobs that can be turned on the way to 1st boss are Tomb Guards and Tomb Guardians, the others mob types are immune to the skill.

Boss #1 - Guzala Angerfang (10 million HP, 9 mementos)

• Adds - There are coffins on the side of the boss room. During one complete phase of this boss encounter, 4 adds will one by one appear and attack the party. The adds will switch aggro randomly, "ping-ponging" between each member of your party. These adds are also invincible and will stack a debuff on players they attack that reduces their max HP and damage. You can prevent yourself from getting this debuff by kiting, so move around often if the adds aggro on your often and your skill rotation allows. There is a way to damage and kill these adds: by dragging them through traps.
• Traps - Shortly after beginning this boss fight, 3 traps will appear on the floor in random places around the room. The purpose of these traps is to make the adds vulnerable to damage by dragging them through them. The traps will go off (and disappear) if a player, the boss, or an add steps on them; it is very important to make sure that the adds are the only ones that set foot in the traps. Once an add sets off a trap, it will scream in say chat and become vulnerable to attack. Make sure the add is killed immediately – if you take too long it will become invulnerable again.
• Curse Explosion - The boss will cast a skill called Curse Explosion at certain points in the fight. If you have used all the traps successfully you should have 1 add left when the boss casts this skill. Don’t worry, this skill will kill one (and only one) add. Unfortunately, this skill also does massive damage to players. The best thing to do when you see this skill being cast is to run away from the boss, as it is a short range attack and only has a range of 50 or so (if I had to guess).
• Boss Fight Execution - The easiest way to do this fight is to circle the largest concentration of traps with your entire party. Once the trap or traps you are surrounding have been expended, move to next closest trap. Be very careful not to step in them yourself – if you screw up and waste a trap you will have at least 1 unkillable add running around the rest of the fight. You need to make use of the traps fairly quickly, as they will disappear right before the boss casts curse explosion (~1 minute after the traps first appear). After curse explosion, the cycle begins again and a new set of traps and adds will spawn.
• Sidenote (NPC Skills) - There are two skills that an NPC can supply you right outside the boss room. The first skill allows you to "rock" yourself, causing adds to ignore you but making you unable to move or use any skills. The second skill allows you to unrock your allies by casting it on them at close range. The use of these skills is undoubtedly the way Runewalker intended this fight to work, but in practice it is much simpler and easier to ignore these skills completely.

Trash Mobs - Boss #1 to Boss #2

• Tygistor’s Son - These mobs have an attack called Fire Punishment. When you see a cast bar by that name, everyone must group up together immediately. This skill will do 120k damage on one random person divided by the amount of people grouped on top of that person. When you first aggro these mobs they will cast Fire Punishment immediately, so make sure you are grouped up before you pull.

Boss #2 - Tygistor (8.5 million HP, 9 mementos)

• Lava Flame - This boss will put a debuff called Lava Flame on one random person in the party. The skill icon looks like flame (mage skill) and it is very important to watch out for. This debuff will silence and damage the player for 10% HP every 2 seconds for its entire duration. The person who gets this debuff needs to move away from the group to a range of 150-200 (whatever max heal range is). When the debuff ends, the player will explode and cause 60% damage to himself and anyone close to him. A fire AOE will also be placed on the ground in the location where the player was standing when the debuff ended. The healers need to do their best to keep the person with the debuff at full health or they will most likely die.
• Fire Punishment - This boss has the same skill as the Tygistor’s Son trash mobs. To recap, when you see a cast bar by the name of Fire Punishment ____, everyone must group up together immediately. This skill will do 120k damage on one random person divided by the amount of people grouped on top of that person.
• Lightning - There are lightning bolts which will come from the statues on either side of the room. These do minimal damage on their own, but the damage is multiplied when your party is grouped up. Even with your party grouped the damage is almost negligible, but you will be interrupted and silenced by this skill as well.
• Boss Fight Execution - This boss fight is fairly straightforward. I usually turn the boss around (seen in the video) but I’m not actually sure if it’s necessary or not, it’s just habit at this point. You should have everyone in your party looking out for the Lava Flame debuff, as it is very easy to miss because of all the other debuffs you get during the fight (don’t worry about these, they are just DoTs). Do this and group up for Fire Punishment and this boss is a cakewalk compared to Angerfang.

Trash Mobs - Boss #2 to Boss #3

• Tomb Scorpion / Man-Eating Scorpion - These mobs will put a debuff on the tank called Armor Corrosion which will decrease his physical defense. If you get too many of these stacked, you should wait for the debuff to wear off before proceeding.
• Kareem - Keep following this beetle from the beginning of the hallway after 2nd boss. It will eventually grow bigger and you will have to kill it to open the door to the 3rd boss room.
• Crypt Beetles - Inside the 3rd boss room there will be beetles on either side of the room near the door. Pull these beetles into the hallway and kill them. They will put a dot on you called Bug Acid on you.

Boss #3 - Linobia (8 million HP, 13 mementos)

• Beetles - There are two kinds of beetles that will spawn out of the coffins during this boss fight: crypt beetles and tomb beetles. The crypt beetles cast a skill which buffs the boss’s damage. The tomb beetles will explode on contact with a player and do massive damage. It is imperative that you have a dps assigned to kill the beetles 100% of the time, especially the tomb beetles. A mage is ideal and almost a requirement, but it is possible to do with other classes (you really need a spammable AOE and/or a ranged attack).
• Poison Cloud - Party members will get poisoned and a purple cloud will appear around them. It is very important to be spread out when you have this purple cloud, as it will deal damage to yourself and anyone adjacent to you.
• Boss Fight Execution - The boss fight aside from the beetle component is basically a tank and spank. The boss resides in the back-left corner of the room and it’s best to tank him in that general area and not in the middle of the coffins. In fact, it’s best to have as many party members as possible in the back of the room away from the coffins.

Trash Mobs - Boss #3 to Boss #4

Boss #4 - Yinha (8.5 million HP, 13 mementos)

• Yinha’s Red Shield - There is a red barrier surrounding this boss. Anyone standing in this barrier will take 300% more magic damage from the boss. Because of this, it is very important that whoever has aggro needs to be outside this red shield when the boss does any of his attacks. It is ideal to have a ranged DPS hold aggro on the boss, it is very dangerous for any melee dps or the tank to have aggro during this fight.
• Gravel - This skill will be repeatedly cast on whoever has aggro during this fight. This skill is just a basic attack and it nothing to worry about unless you are standing inside the boss’s red shield.
• Giant Gravel - This attack will hit everyone in the party, regardless of your positioning. When you see the cast bar for this skill, anyone standing in the boss’s red shield should back up out of the shield until they have taken the damage from the skill. After everyone is hit by this attack, a debuff will be put on one random party member (I’m not sure of the name, I’ll edit this post later if I can get it). When this debuff ends, this person and anyone standing near them will be covered with rocks. If you notice you have the debuff, get away from your group members and do not stand in the red shield. You cannot move or cast while you are trapped in the rocks. The only way to un-rock yourself is to be hit with Heavy Invasion.
• Heavy Invasion - The boss will switch targets to one random person in the party and cast this skill, Heavy Invasion. Whoever this attack is cast on will be flung high into the air. Anyone standing near (range of 25-50) will also be flung into the air. If someone who is rocked is flung into the air, the rocks will break and that person will be free to move around and cast once more.
• Slowing Whirlpool - A grayish sand whirlpool will appear on the ground under one random person. Any players standing in this whirlpool will have a debuff put on them that slows. This debuff can stack, slowing the player more for every stack on them. Move out of this whirlpool immediately if it appears underneath you, as being slowed will screw you over if the boss casts Sand Storm.
• Sand Storm - The boss will say "Targeting Disruption Activated" and cast this skill simutaneously. Right before he starts casting this skill, everyone will be pulled to the boss’s location (WA 2nd boss style). There is no way to predict when you are going to be pulled in, so pay attention. Run out of the red shield surrounding the boss immediately. If you are not out of the shield by the time the boss finishes his cast, you will most likely be one-shot.
• Boss Fight Execution - This boss fight is pretty self-explanatory if you understand all his abilities. He will use his skills in a random order. Just make sure you remove the rocks off of people who need it and move out of the red shield when needed and you should be fine.

Trash Mobs - Boss #4 to Boss #5

• Mummy Hallway #1 - In the hallway continuing from the 4th boss’s room, there will be a pat along with coffins on the side of the room. A Limon Mummy mob will spawn from each of these coffins. These mobs will put a contagious debuff on some members of your party which will likely spread to everyone else. These debuffs can only be cleansed by the druid general skill Antidote. Once a party member is cleansed they should stay away from those who still have the debuff as it can easily be spread once again. You should do this cleansing out of battle before the next mob pulls.
• Mummy Intermission - The room following the first mummy hallway has a LOT of mobs and pats. The easiest and safest way to clear this room is by having a druid use Spirit Guidance on as many mobs as possible (guards and guardians can be turned) and clearing the remainder the typical way. If you do not have a druid, you will need to be very careful about your pulls and probably implement some kind of crowd control.
• Mummy Hallway #2 - This hallway is probably the hardest trash clear in the instance. Like the hallway before, there will be coffins lining the walls that will spawn mummies. Unlike before, the mummies will spawn infinitely while you are standing in the hallway. There is also a Giant Rune Guardian and a Sacrificer standing at the end of the hallway that must be killed before the door to the next room opens. The Sacrificer will heal the Giant Rune Guardian and the Giant Rune Guardian will cast a skill called Energized Strike that will cause a significant AOE to hit anyone near him. The best way to clear this hallway is to move slowly down the hallway moving from each set of coffins to the next and killing all mobs before you progress. Once you get to the end, kill the Sacrificer and then the Giant Rune Guardian, making sure that someone is interrupting Energized Strike cast by the Giant Rune Guardian. Once these two mobs are dead, move between the pillars on either side of the far end of the hallway and kill the remaining mummies. Do not move any farther than this as there are mobs you don’t want to aggro yet in the next room. Cleanse your party of the mummy debuff and continue. There is a video below of the clearing of this room.
• Boss Room Mobs - The room after the 2nd mummy hallway is the boss room, but there are 6 mobs that need to be killed before you can start the boss fight. There should be 6 Giant Rune Guardians standing in your path, 3 on either side of the room. These mobs have a very large aggro range so make sure you only grab one at a time. As before, make sure you interrupt the skill Energized Strike and stay at range if you aren’t the tank or a melee dps in case you miss. These mobs also cast Rune Reverse, which if you recall is a skill from Hall of Survivors that will reflect 4k damage each time you attack the mob with it on. It is far less lethal than it was back at level 55, so don’t worry about this skill too much.

Boss #5 - Anubis (8 million HP, 15 mementos)

• Death’s Power - The boss will say "The power of darkness shall sweep over all!" and cast this skill simultaneously. This skill will fear the entire party for roughly 2-3 seconds.
• Flames of Fury - This skill works like Fire Punishment from 2nd boss. When you see the boss say "Feel the wrath of the flames!" or the cast bar, your entire party needs to group up. This skill will do 120k damage on one random person divided by the amount of people grouped on top of that person.
• Death Storm - The boss will say "Defilers of the tomb, you shall feel the stormy fury of the death god!" and cast this skill simultaneously. When cast, this skill will put a debuff on one random party member. This debuff will cause the affected player to deal damage to and interrupt any adjacent players. Keep distance between you and people with this debuff, as it can be a real nuisance and cannot be cleansed.
• Black Magic - The boss will say "Feel the suffering of my people!" and cast this skill simultaneously. All party members will be caught in a trap and rooted in place, as well as take damage every 1-2 seconds for 9 seconds total.
• Dark Bonds - The boss will say "Come forth, champion of my people!" and cast this skill simultaneously. One party member will have the Dark Bonds debuff put on them. This debuff works like a rogue’s Shadow Prison and prevents the player from moving or casting anything. A Limon Warrior will spawn at the same time as the debuff is cast. The only way to get rid of Dark Bonds on the affected player is to kill the spawned add.
• Tomb Beetles - The boss will say "Come forth my minions!", there is no cast bar for this ability. Two tomb beetles will spawn. They are not much of a danger as they do not explode on contact like 2nd boss, but they should be killed quickly anyway.
• Dust Sanction - The boss will say "Suffer the punishment of the sands!" and cast this skill simultaneously. All party members will be thrown into the air and contract a debuff that slows casting speed. This debuff should be cleansed asap, especially on healers and mages.
• Boss Fight Execution - The boss seems to follow a pattern of alternating the use of Death’s Power (group fear) and one random skill from this list for most of the fight. This fight is very simple to understand, but depending on the skill order of the boss it can be pretty difficult. There are debuffs that will stack up on every member of the party that decrease heals received in lieu of a enrage timer.
• In Case of Wipe… - If you wipe on this boss fight, you will most likely have to all res out of the instance. The mummies in the hallway before the boss room will still spawn infinitely, so you will have to run through as a group and kill them again.

The name was well chosen for this instance. The whole instance takes place in one circular “arena” type room. There are five rounds total in the first four you will face four different bosses and for the last round you will face bosses #3 and #4 together. You will NOT face any non-boss mobs in this instance and you decide when to begin each round by talking to the Arena Guard within the instance. 

For the following guide there will be a plethora of screenshots accompanying each boss fight showing initial positioning before the battle begins because a picture says a thousand words. 

Requirements (based on max lvl being 62)
This is a six man instance – normally consisting of 1 tank, 3 or 4 DPS, 1 or 2 healers. Even though there is a quest line running through the instance, there is no attunement requirement to enter.

Tank

• Health: 50k un-buffed
• Physical Defense: 80k (with EA)
• Physical Attack: 19k

All Other Classes 
Health: 

• The minimum health requirement for survival is 28k; however, 30k to 35k is preferred.

Attack: All classes should bring appropriate foods, etc to buff 

• Magic attack: 20k (un-buffed)

• Physical attack: 20k (un-buffed) [this is required for 2nd/4th boss as the longer you fight - the more debuffs/circles you get which makes it harder - so you want to kill the bosses quickly]

Heals: HOTs (Heals Over Time) should be at 1.2k min as well as the following: 

• Druid: 20k restore life and Recover HOT should tick at 3k

• Priest: 25k group heal, 7 to 8k urgent heal, 20k heal

Round One 
Pop Goes the Weasel. In the beginning of the battle, the tank brings the boss (Manticos the dragon fiend) back towards the outer ring keeping himself between the boss and the party – the boss has a front/side AOE that will hurt/kill those standing closest to him. This position is where the tank remains the whole fight and one healer will remain here as well. Also, before the fight begins all DPS (and second healer if applicable) will determine which of the other two positions they will run to in the event the boss casts Dune Rock – which unless you have high amounts of DPS he will cast (see screenshot below for all positions). 

• In the event the boss casts Dune Rock: He will fly into the air and land at the end of the cast bar. The moment he lands every party member will receive a de-buff called stumble (Stumble – the sky fills with sand and makes it very difficult to move, there are also some larger rocks that seems to have some kind of strange energy- lasts for 6 seconds). When these de-buffs appear separate immediately into the three positions. This division is necessary because when the de-buff wears off 120k AOE damage is divided amongst the party (most damage hits those in position one) – this attack is called Massive Upheaval. However, each person takes a buddy with them because if everyone spreads out separately when the boss lands every member who does not have a buddy will be turned into a stone. After the de-buff wears off each member can return to the initial position behind the tank. If someone does not follow the above directions timely there are two outcomes: someone blows up on the main healer and tank (killing either or both of them) and/or a buddy turns into stone and has to wait the count down with limited heals.

Rinse and Repeat.

Round Two 
Be Ready to Run. Before preparing for this fight you should have Escape Artist Title equipped (can be earned from Hall of the Demon Lord) and/or speed pots such as Unbridled Enthusiasm (from the housemaid) or Spellweaver Potion (Auction House) to speed up your pace because this boss has a death dealing AOE – Spinning Slash. 

The battle takes place in the center of the arena. The tank will fight the boss (Great Gladiator Mukhan) in the center. The boss will call out in blue chat “The great gladiator draws everyone towards him” and everyone will be summoned to him. As soon as this blue chat appears across the screen the “run” key should be held down in anticipation. Everyone has to run to the outside of the outer circle to avoid his AOE. As soon as you turn the outer ring you can and should head back to the center because the whole party needs to regroup for the healers to do their job efficiently. 

*Notes: Holy Shield will provide immunity to the party, Holy Candle Shield/Holy Aura will give immunity to the caster. 

Rinse and repeat. 

Round Three 
Flower Power. This boss fight will also take place in center of the room (see above image for location). The boss (Consul Marachi) will periodically distribute three de-buffs to multiple party members which are most commonly known by the color of the flower rather than their official names.

• White Rose Heart (White Flower): Reduces healing by 75% and inflicts 4000 damage every 2 seconds. Also, when the de-buff wears off it causes AOE damage to all those nearby.
  Way to avoid killing the party – players suffering from the effects of White Rose Heart need to stay away from each other to cancel the effects. However, be sure to stay in the range of heals.
• Reaver Rose (Red Rose): 4500 HP is lost every 2 seconds until the wound is healed. Healers have to bring the sufferers health to full to cleanse the condition. This becomes a major problem when stacked with the other flowers.
• Red Rose Death (Pink Flower): Reduces healing by 75% and inflicts 4000 damage every 2 seconds.
  Way to avoid killing the party – three players suffering from the effects of Red Rose Death need to group together to cancel the effect.

First Boss Strategy – One Healer 
The tank takes the boss and turns it away from the party to avoid the frontal AOE. The best thing to do here is remember what each de-buff means and act accordingly. The tank will run through the party when he has the Red Rose Death and take stand on the other side. He will then run back through the party if he gets it again. 
Second Boss Strategy – Two Healers 
The tank takes the boss and turns it away from the party to avoid the frontal AOE. With two healers, the party can simply stay put and burn the boss down.

Round Four 
Follow the Leader. On this fight you will be all over the room depending on where the tank leads and making sure not to step in front of the boss (Baron Reuen von Jura). Everyone is moving due to Circles (picture below) the boss places at your feet. They steal your mana and your health – more importantly any time someone gets stuck in them, they buff the boss and slow/blind you. 
De-buffs 

• Wave of Anger – the Baron’s rage washes over you, causing 4000 damage every 2 seconds. This is applied randomly and equally to all party members.
• Court Martial – punishes a target that is not obeying orders and blinds the sentenced target for a period of time. This de-buff results from standing in the circles for too long.
• Hesitation – The imposing air of the Baron causes target to hesitate. The healers will have to keep the tank cleansed (“Cleanse”) when he has this on him because it slows him down and he will not be able to get out of the circles in time.

How to be rid of circles after the match: Stand in them with limited gear equipped – make sure a healer is awake for this part. (See illustration below)

Round Five 
Divide and Conquer. Before the bosses spawn make sure you know who is tanking and who is kiting. The Consul is the boss you want to kite while you tank the Baron. The whole party (minus the person kiting) focuses on killing the Baron and afterwards moves to kill the Consul. The tank should move the Baron into a corner in order to give the other person more room to kite. The bosses reflect their de-buffs onto the people with agro on the other boss; therefore, the consul places flowers on the tank et al and the Baron throws circles at the person kiting. It’s important to make sure when tanking these bosses that they are not facing the party and if you are kiting try not to get hit and remember to move into heal range when your health is suffering. So here goes:

1. This portion occurs in Silverspring (and can be done in any order):

Overview
Hall of survivors, or HoS for short, is the popular 12-man raid of an instance. Located in the upper corner of Silverspring, this instance tells the story of the robot and human relationship. With seven bosses and much loot to be dropped, this instance is still popular today for the infamous Dilan’y ring and Lightning Sword.

Specific Requirements
Tanks will want to be hovering around 30 k hp. This is so they can take the heavy hits from bosses. Healers will want at least 20 k hp so they can keep the party alive. DPS classes can be a minimum of 12 k hp but expect to die several times. Casters will want to be higher; around 15 k should be okay.

En Route to First Boss
Before entering into HoS, grab a few Grassland Mixes if you can. This will be located to the right of the entrance if you’re running in straight on. The codex standing against the wall, Loki Debloom, will sell some goodies that will be very helpful in this instance if you are undergeared. Grasslands grant roughly another 5 k hp, and the pots like Lizard’s Blood and Tiger’s Fury will grant buffs to the entire party.

When you enter HoS, you will come across the first pat. There will be Rune Patrolmen(?), each with about 200 k hp. They will be patrolling up and down the corridors. If they target you right away, you’ll be given a debuff per mob. They each do different things but they can be healed through.

The only things you should worry about are Rune Elders. There are usually two variants, a blue one and a rock one. The blue one is green (ironically) and the rock ones are orangy-brown. These can’t do much except heal the other mobs, which is the cast Rune Return. 

There will be approximately three of these pats that are mandatory, and a group of the swordsmen and another pat towards the back. These are skippable though. The first boss begins on the bridge to your left.

First Boss
Name: Androlith
hp: 4 mil
Difficulty: medium/easy
This boss is a giant centaur-like monster who is the first boss in this giant instance. He is relatively easy to beat but if you’re unprepaired, can get you killed quite fast or give your healers a headache.

Most of his skills you don’t have to worry about. However when you see three horses spawn beside another on the bridge, this is where things get tricky. 
Two out of the three horses will run down the bridge, leaving behind a trail of fire. If you stay in the fire, it’s a 4 k tick that lasts the duration of the fire. I’m not sure how fast it ticks but it ticks fast. so be sure to run into safety and out of the fire. 
Tanks will want to keep the boss above the little mini landing and dps want to be right up and personal. 
This boss isn’t hard at all, just remember to get ready to run, especially those abusing Archer’s Glory.

En Route to Second Boss
And surprise, it’s your favorite mobs again. Rinse and repeat; you’ll have to kill approximately three mobs for sure. Once you turn the corner into a new hallway, be careful if you’re not prepared. There are two lines of just Rune Swordsmen and then your normal pat; if you aggro all of them you might find yourself dying. As usual, take out the Elders first.

Then you’ll find two big guys slowly lanking their way back and forth. These mobs are skippable; hug the pillar to your left to go around and onto a bridge-support like area. You won’t aggro the giants, but wait for them to turn anyways. 

On this bridge, if you’re under geared, do not AOE or you’ll drag up pats from below. Instead just dps as normal, there are two that patrol the square bridge, moving along the perimetre. 
The next bit after the bridge can be difficult. You’ll see two giant guys with spinning wheels called Blade Rune Guardian. These guys are regular kills but have around 500 k hp. Spiral Assault hits for the hardest but shouldn’t be a big problem.
However when pulling it, nine out of ten times you’ll get the Chaos mob in the back as well. Be sure to keep it silenced or rooted, if it casts Ground Strike there’s a chance someone in the party will die. Once it’s dead, kill the other Blade and… 

Second Boss
Name: Glamos
HP: 4 mil 
Difficulty: easy
Glamos himself isn’t that hard to kill. Hug the wall and turn around; you’ll see that the wall behind you is actually a cage concealing the mobs you have to worry about. There are two hunters, and then a Horror Seeker, a Divine Persuer, and something else I can’t remember at the moment. Anyways you’re best off having three people who can ‘crowd control’, your best bet being three mages, two mages and a scout, two mages and a priest/mage, etc etc. You want to make sure they don’t use their skills or they cast fears or ticks that affect the entire party.
In terms of the actual boss, the tank wants to turn him around to avoid the AOE. He can be hit normally and doesn’t do too many special things. 

Upon killing, you’ll have to run though to the crystal and transfer back to the entrance hall to despawn them, unless you have epic dps and then you can just eat their faces.

En Route to Third Boss
This is where things begin to get a little harder. These mobs are pretty much the same as the ones in Kallin Shrine. They are big and burly and rather annoying to take down. They hover around 600 k hp. These guys aren’t too bad except for one of their attacks: Rock _____. This will target the person furthest away from them. So if you’re a freeloader hoping to just sneak by for loot, you’re going to get a nice surprise! To avoid this, everyone should group up when taking out these mobs and try to interrupt or discharge them before they can cast.

There isn’t too much to be worried about, though. You fight them in waves of three. You’ll go down a hallway with six of these mobs in total and then turn onto another bridge with another group of three just beyond the doorway. Clear them and you’ll find the original gang of rune robots. Once you deal with them you should see three more of the Rune Guardian mobs; one at the back left corner and one patrolling. After that, follow the ramp to your right and descend down to the left to face three more Rune Guardians. Past them is…

Third Boss
Name: Guldamor
HP: 5 mil (?)
Difficulty: Medium (for the unprepared)
Hello big hammah guy who’s randomly tearing a hole in the back of the instance. This guy, as said above, can be hard(er) for those who are not prepared.

Before going in, you just want to group up to the left as you enter the doorway into his boss room. You’ll want to do your fooding/buffing/music-playing here. This guy doesn’t hit for too bad, he’s just annoying. The tank should try to keep the big guy where he is in the beginning, but he must be turned around as he has a frontal AOE. 

This guy does two things in particular: summon red balls and a white crystal. If you’ve ever heard any bad puns or jokes about balls, this is where it all begins. (Also I assume this is where Frogster and Runewalker decided they like the idea of balls in every. single. boss. fight.) The red balls are a small red orb hovering with white/red electricity crackling around it, as well as a circle underneath. These must be killed or something bad will happen. Usually mages will aoe or take them.

The second cast he will suddenly jump to the back of the room and will be invincible. He will say "This thing is Sacred! No one can touch it!" or something to that effect. A white crystal, not unlike the one we use to transport, will then drift, at a respectable speed, towards him. If you don’t dps this crystal down he will enrage. Don’t be discouraged though; it should have less than 100 k hp so it should be easy to take down.

The rest is tank and spank.

En Route to Fourth Boss
Repairing would be ideal now; hop outside using the blue transport crystal when you enter the next room – it should be directly beside you to the left. 

Upon exiting the boss room, go up the little ramp and fight your classic group of rune robots. After that you’ll recognize that the ramp is the same as the one when you were travelling to the fourth boss. That means the mobs are the same! There are two more Rune Guardians to face; destroy them and find a moving pat of the same rune robots. After them you’ll descend into a room with around five rune guardians. Same deal, but if you’re worried that your party can’t take them all at once work on them slowly, getting your tank to pull one at a time and draw them out backwards that way. Beyond the little doorway is.. 

Fourth Boss
Name: Vrantal
HP: 6 mil (?) 
Difficulty: Medium/Hard
DO NOT ENTER THE ROOM DO NOT ENTER THE ROOM DO NOT ENTER THE ROOM.
The doors will lock as soon as you run inside and if you try to escape, you’ll be one shot. Poof. Just like that.
That being said, edge very carefully inside so your toon just drops down the little ledge that is the doorway. That way if a mistake happens no one is locked out. Do your food and buffing here, making sure the Tank counts down.

The boss will greet you with a Rune Particle Beam but as long as the healer heals whoever gets hit, it shouldn’t be a problem. This boss is very big – as in you will literally not be able to see it’s face, only it’s butt which ironically, is the thing you’re smacking around. You’ll all want to stand inside the red target circle. The beam it casts can probably one shot someone. You’ll know when that beam is coming when you see Rune Energy Ready!. 

When you see the text Training Time Has Arrived. this is where things get tricky. Two people will be sent up and the rest of the group stays down, the boss becomes invincible, and stuff gets weird. For the ones in the air, you should call out that you’re up and you will get a cast bar with three skills. In order they are: 

1. An instadeath but requires you to be charged.
2. A solid hit but has a long cool down.
3. A DoT that ticks for about 3 k per.

What you’ll want to do is scroll in all the way so you’re in first person view. Angle your camera upwards and you should see a bunch of mobs in the air (named…) that will be placed evenly apart from one another. If you’re not charged, you can’t use skill 1, so spam skill 2 and throw up skill 3 when you see the debuff disappear from the mob you’re aiming for. Do this right and the mob dies – Vrantal loses two total HP per dead sky-mob. 

Now how to be charged? This is for the people that are left behind. From all directions, similar mobs will spawn and all come towards the centre of the circular platform, of which the group should be on. One aoe should take them out – they only have around 28 k hp. Kill them and loot them – the loot should be on ffa – and then select a member that is up via the raid list and click on the drop in your bag. The person who charged another should announce it so they know they can use skill 1. After a certain amount of times (around 4 waves of the mobs below) the boss will drop back down and smacking can resume. 

He isn’t too bad if you know what you’re doing. Keep a cool head and try not to get frustrated.

En route to Fifth Boss

This is when you start to fight the other big guys, more Chaos mobs and finally, the Giant Rune Guardian mobs. Most of these are skippable though, so if you lack the dps to burn them down it is highly recommended that you skip. 
You’ll recognize the Giant Rune Guardians as the pats moving back and forth en route to second boss. These guys aren’t too bad, they hit decently. They have two casts you should be aware of: Rune Reverse will now hit you back after you hit him with this buff. Its a small red and blue one – you can see him cast it if you don’t interupt him in the middle of it. When it is activated you still hit normally but now take 4 k every time you hit it. Again, those with low hp can find themselves dead quite fast if they’re just spamming and not paying attention. The next cast is Energized Explosion which is an aoe; it hits for usually 30 k flat so BACK UP when you see it being cast. It’s relatively slow so you have time to react. 

Once you exit south from the dead body of the boss, you’ll find yourself in a safe room with your crystal transportation. Here hang a left out of the room and back to the mobs. You’ll find one Giant Rune Guardian at the back with one Chaos moving back and forth. Take him down and you can skip the Giant. When you turn the corner going right you can cut diagonally across to skip the Giant chilling against a wall. 

Go out into the rubble-filled area and, to skip as many mobs as possible, hug the right wall (or what was left of it.) Kill the stray Chaos mob, the Giants are optional. Once you’re past them you will see another ramp to your left that is ascending. Go up and you’ll find a Chaos *name needed*. They aren’t hard to kill.

There will be one of those mobs standing on the ramp, and then another two when the ramp opens up. Take them one at a time or together, depending on your dps. Follow the slope up and there should be another Giant against the right wall, with a rune robot pat. Pulling the rune robot pat is almost impossible to get without a side of Giant, so carefully take out both. (Elders first, then Giant, then the other little guys.) The giant against the back wall shouldn’t pull with them, but if he is be very careful.

As you turn the corner you will find another Giant against the same back wall. To avoid running smack into him when turning the corner hug the wall as tight as you can. It will then open up to two Giant Rune Guardians, one against the left wall and a few paces afterwards, against the right wall. It is advised to kill both. The left one is skipable but you don’t want to back into it while fighting the right one.

After that corridor you will find four swordsmen and a Giant rune guardian behind him. You have no choice but to take all five at once. It shouldn’t be too bad. After clearing them, you’ll find the transport crystal behind them – but wait, you can’t go through because you haven’t killed the boss. Even though this boss may seem out of the way you HAVE to kill him – her? – to get into the final boss room. 

Fifth Boss
Name: Zygro
HP: 4 mil (?) 
Difficulty: Easy
This boss is so easy it’s almost a joke. She has this strange obsession with blood. Anyways do your fooding and buffing before you enter little clay dome thing. 

Once the boss begins, the tank will want to keep her just about anywhere but beware of the frontal AOE. Everyone else should now party underneath her skirt (It flares out behind) so you can dps her from in there. She is very very frail so with a decent party you should get her to around 1/3rd of her health before she begins casting. 

Her first cast will port her away from the group, near the back left, where she will bubble and become un-attackable. She first summons replicas of the party. (ex: blood priest, blood scout, etc) if these aren’t killed fast enough, she will heal herself. Once you deal with these copies of yourself – and they must be burned fast – you will have to sit through a constant attack that hits the entire party for approximately 5 k (easily healable) before you can attack her again. At this point she should be dead.

** There is also a debuff you get that has to do with a crystal, but if you get that far you should be seriously concerned **

En Route to Sixth Boss
Come back the way you came past the dead bodies and you’ll see the previously red crystal is now blue, which means you can port. Yay. The right side is still uncleared, so begin there. 

Your favorite pats are back! Remember to cc/interrupt/root the Elders or you’ll have to deal with a lot of annoyance. Past them and over the bridge of lava and you’ll see two Chaos mobs moving back and forth. Be sure to interrupt Ground Strike but take them both down the same. Pull the Chaos from around the fallen rock and kill him too, then get the other Giant. Next you should see a ramp with two more Chaos patrolling up and down. Grab one carefully and kill it before killing the other, or Lasso/Discharge it to be safe. 

The top two Giants are skippable, but to be safe get your Tank to run into the doorway to the right and pull out the Chaos to kill him first so you won’t get feared into a nasty surprise. Once he’s dead you can then follow inside and begin killing the Blade mob that’s next. Be sure to check the back for accidental pulls. Kill the next Chaos and you’ll see something new: three Elders holding down a Giant. If you attack one elder all four will be unleashed on the party, so if you need it, make sure to assign people on the elders to kill right away or they’ll keep healing a Giant that will happily Energy Explode or Rune Reverse with heals. This group is skippable but just clear it. 

Then on the ramp down to your left you’ll see a Chaos to the left and a Giant to the right. Lasso/Discharge the Chaos and kill the Giant first. Then hop down and run to the middle of the room.

Sixth Boss
Name: Mantarick / Sydaphex
HP: 4 mil (?) 
Difficulty: Medium/Hard
Correction: one of your group members should stray to the left and go to where a lever is. This person should not be the tank as you want to grab aggro right away, and being away from the party will not do that whatsoever. To activate this boss, the lever must be pulled. You’ll want an unbridled enthusiasm on, the escape artist title if you have it, and a stash of nobodies rum. (I don’t know if the latter works anymore.) So be sure to food and buff before giving the go ahead.

Once pulled you’ll see the boss is a robot on a chariot with a (surprise surprise) mechanical horse. You must kill his light horse first — it only has around 1 mil hp (?) so he can be burned down quick. It does nothing special; just treat it like any normal mob. It can randomly lag out and port to the right so just beware of that.

Once it’s down the real fun begins. The boss is invincible to begin with. Make sure at this point you have Unbridled Enthusiasms on because this can potentially get very disastrous. This is why the boss isn’t marked ‘easy’. 

In the four corners of the room, four different coloured crystals will spawn. They will either be red, blue, green, or white . The boss will then call out the cast Space is filled with all kinds of Elements and four members will then get a different colour debuff. They resemble runes but be sure to double check it if you get a white coloured one – blue and white look very similar. Those debuffed have about 12 seconds to run/sprint to the corresponding crystal and click on it. To know you’ve done it right, the base will light up with a small ring of white. 

The tank at this point should’ve dragged the boss back to where the lever is to minimize the chances of other casts being put on your running members. One is a 5 second (?) stun which is usually waited out of a 6 k flat attack. He also has a frontal AOE so if the tank didn’t drag him, don’t stand in front of him. 

If you get the colours wrong 7 (?) times the boss will rage and start oneshotting everyone. This is your cue to run away as fast as possible. 

Once the colours work the boss will shout something out and turn dark purple, name changing to Sydaphex. He can be burned down easy, but leave him alone for too long or don’t kill him in time and he’ll go back to being gold and you must do the colour process again. He should definitely die by the second time he switches schemes.

En Route to Seventh Boss
Beating this guy opens the doors where you can continue to the last boss. Crystal is on your right. 

There’s a Chaos mob patrolling back and forth, kill him first. Against the wall after that is a Giant with three Elders holding him down. This group is skippable but it is again, recommended, to take them out first in the event of an unwanted back pull from the next group of mobs. 
To the left will be a slope downwards that has three mobs on it; a Giant, a Chaos, and the one that summons three adds. An easy way to take this group out is to get the tank to hug the left wall and carefully pull the Chaos up to kill first, then do each mob one by one. Pass them and go through the doorway into a new hallway/room with new mobs.

Here you’ll encounter Ice and Fire mobs. The room may look intimidating but you can cut diagonally right through the monsters and only need to fight three for sure. The first will be a Fire mob patrolling up and down. Be careful not to stand too much to the right or you’ll aggro the two staying stationary to your right. Kill him and only kill the ice mob patrolling up and down the next corridor. You might want to wait until it sits just around the corner from where you killed the Fire mob previously. There’s one more Ice mob standing in front of the boss door, but kill the last Fire mob just to be safe – its against the wall. 

These mobs, if they get a skill off you, will eventually count down and burst – freezing everyone around you. It wears off but it can be time consuming.

Food and buff for last boss. 

Seventh and Last Boss
Name: Andaphelmor
HP: 10 mil
Difficulty: Hard
This guy is the one sitting on a chair. He has three balls circulating him, one red, one green, one yellow. These become crucial in the fight later on.

This boss is burnable, but requires pretty op dps to take down his 10 mil before he starts casting. A good gauge whether or not you can burn is if you can take down Vrantal before someone is sent up. If you can do that, you should be good to go. Otherwise, you must do it the normal way.

When one person goes down the ramp, the doors behind you close and the fight begins. It is crucial everyone is inside the room when the fight begins. As soon as the doors close mobs with exploding cores spawn and will kill anyone locked out. 

The boss should be tanked in the middle, while the rest of the dps try to hit the boss as much as possible. DO NOT USE AOES. 

Three members within the group should be elected – these people should not be able to oneshot mobs with around 30 k hp. They need to run past the boss and get ready for the mobs.

Now the boss room looks like this:

Three mobs will spawn at a gate, one each and a different colour. They will all aggro the same person the boss is aggroing. Pull them off and drag them to the corrisponding door. For example, the purple mob should go to the purple door. The colour they are is in the name of the mob. Make sure you call out which colour you get so two don’t try to pull the same mob. Once you kill it at the gate (and make sure it’s right on the gate, not ‘close’ to it) a small glowing circle that extends upwards will appear at the top of each gate. Once the initial three are down, the other three will spawn and you do the same thing. It is imperative that all mobs are killed at the right spots. If a colour is missed, please let the entire group know.

This is where things get messy. Once this done, all group members will get a colour debuff. You must all run to the corresponding colour gate (no guessing games here, it’ll be obvious what colour you are) and through the little glowing circle to remove this debuff. If you can’t make it or your colour was missed, you will explode, taking out the people around you too. So if you think you’re not going to make it run away from the party, because someone who might’ve done it right might still explode if you’re close to them. 

The best thing to do if your colour was missed is to run repeatedly into the Exit. It appears when the boss does its explosion it has a radius thing, if you’re lucky you may bypass it. 

Once that part is done, one of the three balls will come down and must be dps’d: 
Yellow must be killed by physical 
Red by any of them 
Green by casters
Failure to do this will result in debuffs to the type of attacker that can’t kill it – Yellow will debuff magic, Red will debuff heals, etc. 

Once this round is over, the mobs at the gates will respawn and it must be done over and over again until the boss dies.

Grab your 10 mentos and your loot and congratulations, you’ve cleared Hall of Survivors!

• Ayam Sea Mage - Riptide is like Rising Tide and Deep Sea Gail which is a DOT
• Ayam Archpriest - Fish Queens Blessing will heal mobs, has Wave Armor that will absorb 900 damage
• Ayam Sound Shell Guardian - Pressure Blow will stun you, Horror will fear you and he also has an AoE and has a mana drain aura around him

When fighting the groups of mobs you usually want to kill the Ayam War Drum Priest first because you can pull this out of the group without aggroing the other mobs in the group. Once you pull the groups you would normally focus on the healers first and then any mob that may fear or stun you. Also the Fish Trainers seem to hit much harder than the other mobs in the group so be careful when you pull these and be prepared.

Boss #1 – Bloodthirsty Claw – 980K HP (Mentos = 0)

• Adds
  1. Horse Show Crabs – 2 spawn but have no skills.
  2. Stationary Jellyfish – These jellyfish emit a blue aura around them that will suck mana. Mana users should move away.
  3. Moving Jellyfish – 1 spawns but has no skills.

• Cast Bar
  1. Splinter Magic – A magic based frontal AoE

• Boss Fight Execution - During this fight the tank must turn the boss away from the rest of the party due to the boss having a frontal AoE called Splinter Magic. The rest of the party will stand behind the boss. At certain times during the boss fight 3 adds will spawn, 2 horseshoe crabs and 1 jellyfish. These mobs are nothing special and usually the DPS in the group will take down these adds because if the tank were to take aggro them it could be too much for the tank to handle. Also at random times during the fight stationary jellyfish will spawn that have a blue aura around them on the ground. This blue aura will drain your mana so healers and other mana users should move away immediately. When the adds are up, DPS should be on adds. Once the adds are dead, the DPS should be DPSing the boss. This fight is pretty simple if you keep the boss turned away from the rest of the group.

On the ramp down to the second boss there are alot of Ayam Defenders that will fear you. Make sure you interrupt them so you do not get feared into the boss and start the fight by accident.

Boss #2 – Teeth of the Reef – 1 Mill HP (Mentos = 3)

• Adds
  1. Little Fish – No special skills but alot spawn

• Debuff
  1. Big Ripper – Takes 35% of targets HP every 2 seconds

• Boss Fight Execution - This boss fight is easy if you have a mage in the party. This boss does not have an AoE so you can stand grouped up. The boss will put the Big Ripper debuff on everyone which will take 35% HP every 2 seconds. It is important for the tank (and everyone else in the party) to not have a big amount of health. The healer in the group must be able to heal party members close to full with their heals or the 35% HP debuff will be too overwhelming. If someone in the party has too much HP then they must take off some gear in order to lower their HP. Also the boss will put a debuff on the healers that will make them cast slower so healing this fight is a real chore. It is rumored that if you use Nobodies Rum from Weeping Coast that it will get rid of this debuff but make sure you have increased spell casting speed food on and a clear thought from your housemaids. Random times throughout the fight the boss will spawn little fish adds. These add are very annoying and time consuming to kill if you are a single target DPS. The best way to deal with the adds is to take a mage or other classes that have AoE skill to take down these adds.

On the way to the third boss there are alot of groups close together so be sure to pull carefully and wait for the pats to clear out. There is potential to pull almost every mob that is between 2nd and 3rd boss. Also remember to pull the Ayam War Drum Priest first so you can kill it without the rest of the group.

Boss #3 – Jiasha – 1 Mill HP ( Mentos = 3)

• Debuff
  1. Bleed – 500 HP every 2 seconds
  2. Slow

• Boss Fight Execution
  1. Jiasha does not have any skills herself and will just hit you with normal attacks. The most important thing in this fight is to stand inside the bubbles that spawn from the ground. Throughout the fight bubbles will spawn and despawn in the boss room. When standing inside these bubbles you will be immune to the "lasers" that shoot across the room. The "lasers" come from giant jellyfish that Jiasha summons. The lasers that shoot across the room are very deadly. (most likely a one shot) You must hop from bubbles to bubbles in order to stay immune to these "lasers" while fighting the boss. Also this boss will randomly put a slow and bleed on you. Heals pull an unusual amount of aggro here so be careful healers.
  2. Stand on the edge of the room and wait for a pack of bubbles that spawn near the entrance of the boss room. When the bubbles appear charge in as a group and run though the bubbles to become immune for a short period of time. Tank will grab aggro on the boss while the rest of the group heads to the left to a little purple tree thing. You must stand inside the tree in order not to get hit my the "lasers" in the boss room. Once the tank has aggro with one or 2 hits, he also will join the rest of the group in the purple tree left of the entrance to the room. You can just stand here and tank and spank the boss. Healing may be harder with this strat but you wont die from the "lasers" if you are in the tree.

• Deep Sea Vermin – These are mobs that you cant kill. All the do is path back and forth and they don’t aggro. What you have to do is walk around them without touching or else they will explode and kill you and anyone standing near you. It is a good idea to go one at a time when walking through these mobs.

When you reach the Ayam Rookies, you will see a whole squadrand of them with 1 mob pathing in the middle. What you have to do is have the tank go in and aggro the pathing mob and kill it. Next the party must move to the other side of where the Ayam Rookies were standing and then kill all the Ayam Rookies. The Ayam Rookies have an extremely fast respawn so if everyone does not move to the other side, you will have to kill them again. The best way to kill the Rookies is at the same time with AoE skills if you have them in party.

Boss #4 – Geba – 820K HP (Mentos = 4)

  1. Whirlwind Counterattack – medium range AoE with huge damage.
  2. Geba’s Magic – spawns a clone of Geba

• Boss Fight Execution - Geba is a fairly simple fight because he only has two cast bars. Be sure to clear out the room before you start fighting Geba because you do not want to aggro any extra mobs. Geba has a really big path we walks so you might have to wait for him to walk to you. Tank and fight the boss like usual and look for his cast bars. When he casts Whirlwind Counterattack everyone near the boss must run away, even the tank. Once the attack is over, go back to fighting him. When he casts Geba’s Magic he will spawn a clone of himself who is much weaker. Usually a DPS will off tank the clone, they should be able to survive. Once the close is down, go back to fighting the boss.

Going to 5th boss is hard because most of the mobs hit harder than earlier trash mobs in the instance. There are also alot more Ayam Sound Shell Guardians/Fighters as well as the Medusa’s Maids and Medusa’s Servants. It is recommended that you kill Medusa’s Maids first because they can hit multiple party members with Lightning Strike. Just remember to keep your distance from the Medusa’s Servants if you are melee because of the AoE.

Boss #5 – Medusa – 1.2 Mill HP (Mentos = 5?)

• Debuff
  1. Rock Bind – roots player for a short period of time
  2. Petrify – rocks player for 3 seconds or 2 minutes

• Boss Buff
  1. Increases boss attack and defense by 100%
  2. Boss regenerates 3% HP every 2 seconds
  3. Boss continuously hits party for 289 damage every 2 seconds

• Cast Bar
  1. Summon Sound Shell – long cast where you have to DPS the boss in order to cancel the cast. If cast goes off the party will wipe.

• Boss Fight Execution - To start, pull Medusa into the middle of the room and fight her there. Throughout the fight Medusa will put the debuffs Rock Bind and Petrify on party members. The short time debuffs you cant do anything about. If you are rocked for 2 minutes, the DPS in the group will have to target you and DPS the rocks off. Medusa will then have 3 buffs on her as stated above. When these 3 buffs appear, 3 stone soldiers in the boss room will become activated. One DPS in the group will have to go to these stone soldiers and click on them in order to get rid of these 3 buffs on Medusa. (if the runner gets rocked the DPS will have to get the rocks off him or someone else will have to click the stone soldiers.) Next Medusa will start casting Summon Sound Shell. The only way to interrupt this cast is to DPS the boss, so all DPS have to go all out at this point. If the cast goes off the whole party will wipe. If you stop the cast, DPS the boss and watch out for people being rocked and look for the 3 buffs on Medusa again and the cycle will repeat 3 times. Once Medusa does Summon Sound Shell three times, she will not do it again. After that stage the party will get a DoT on them. You can not cleanse this DoT and more will stack over time doing even more damage per tick. The only way to get this DoT off is to aggro one of the snakes that spawn. Once you aggro the snake, it will "bite" you and remove the DoT. Also if you do not kill these small snakes, they will grow into big elite snakes over time and do alot more damage. Use the snakes to get rid of the DoT and then kill them. These snakes will keep spawning for the rest of the fight until you kill Medusa.

Be sure everyone is ready before stepping over the thresholds in this instance, as the aggro range for the boss fights is minimal, several of our party were locked out when they didn’t come in as a group. 

It’s a good idea imo for whoever is doing the catapults to get in all of them and set up their aim in the early stages of the boss fight. Doing so means you only have to click the catapult and start firing, regardless of the catapult used.

Boss 5 | General’s Skeleton | <Mento Value>

[Passage to boss] The hall leading to the boss is lined with mobs that have very tough buffs, unknown at this time if they can be removed. Dps on them was slow as hell. In the middle of the hall will be rolling balls that can knock a player down and damage them. The mobs must be removed to move forward (there is a wall at the bottom of the ramp). 
This boss is buffed like hell, and I could do only minimal dps to him as his pdef was very high (lvl 70 boss as well, so the level difference could have had a major impact here). The mage we had in the group was doing well with his dps so the boss may be vulnerable to magic damage. 

Couple of things, there is a sword that spawns that we believe (unconfirmed) is used to eliminate the bosses buffs. He also occasionally summons an add that we are unsure of it’s purpose. 

Then he’ll do a 2 combo attack, Abysmal Blow followed by another one that is a short range aoe that hits for massive damage. Despite being prepared for this move on a second run I had no time to hit my BC to see if I could interrupt it as the cast bar doesn’t show the correct time, it was only halfway through when the attack went off.

Boss 1: Cayus (jack in the box) - thanks Mattyb for the names, my memory sucks (4 mentos)

This boss is interesting to put it mildly. He doesn’t have the bottom portion of his legs, instead he’s on springs attached to a box that he uses frequently for a weapon. If I’m not mistaken he’ll often swing into a 2 strike attack, using his body for the 1st strike and the box for the second. With just priest buffs and 43k hp I’m able to tank this boss on easy. He does have some aoe’s though, as one player we took in with 15k hp was one shot by him. 

But that’s all fluff and not the meat of the boss fight, surviving that will only mean you’re capable of running the instance, not clearing the boss. 

The boss will spawn boxes several times throughout the fight. Beforehand he will go immune and declare a box color. These colors correspond with the pattern on the floor as you enter. Indigo is green (??? what is RW smoking anyway?), Dusk is red, and Purple is obvious. Once he declares the box color you’ll be hit with a timed debuff (about 10 seconds). Move to the box color (asap, he also hits you with slow and fear effects at the same time) and use the box when the debuff has under 3 seconds left. You’ll get a buff called Close call that lasts for 3 seconds, and I believe protects you from the effects of the box. Caution: Everyone needs to use a box of that color!

Once the fight starts he debuffs the entire party with a mana drain. On easy it’s 2 percent, and it affects patk/matk.

Boss 2: Ardmond (trainer) and Isaac (lion) – 6 mentos

Trainer has to be taken out first, appears to glitch if not. (Mamnoon) Isaac has aoe fears and heavy damage on normal. Additionally, If u kill Isaac first, Ardmond enters a Frenzy state where he hits much harder. A tank able to tank RT gold+ standing can tank Ardmond on frenzy state in Grafu normal mode (Scootermtb)

There are several barrels/buckets in the cage with the 2 bosses, a player may use the barrel once the fight starts to be given a food item which can then be used to "aggro" Isaac away. Sort of an involved CC for the sidekick, duration unknown. This boss has been the easiest in the instance by far. 

Boss 3: Boro-boro Brothers (Thanks Salonius) – 9 mentos 

Aoe’s are gonna be a big help here, as a player will be turned into a pillar/bell that has to be destroyed. Reminded me of Medusa’s rocks. 

Boss 4: Conjurer Chapeaunoir (thx again Salonius) - 8 mentos

To start this boss fight you have to catch all of the bunnies, the last one caught spawns the boss. 

One of his main "attacks" is he debuffs 2 people, one is placed in a giant hat (3 on hard - Pazzuzu) with a evil looking bunny, and another is turned large. The player who is turned large has to use the hat to release the other player. Players need to spread out from hat as anyone near may be turned into a flower, including person in the hat and the "giant" player. 

The boss also has several debuffs with differing effects. 

Conjurer’s Flower 
Effect: Poison Tentatively Confirmed: Druid skill Antidote removes debuff - Treelol

Aside from turning you into flowers this debuff also has an aoe pulse that hits you and those around you, and the debuff reduces healing on you by 90% – Treelol. You have no control over your actions. Speculation: you may need to be spread out as this buff may turn others into flowers as well,unproven. 

Conjurer’s Rabbit
Effect: Harmful Effect Speculation: Priest Cleanse skill may be used to remove this debuff

Under this debuff you have very few HP’s (<500 so far on easy) but you can control your movements. 

Conjurer’s Squirrel
Effect: Curse Speculation: Druid skill Purify may remove the debuff

You’re completely at the mercy of the Fear effect with this debuff, absolutely no control over your movements at all. 

Shuffle The Deck: This seems to be an aoe dot that resets aggro, he tends to use it close to the end of the fight. 

Requested information: When put into the hat there is a rabbit there, if anyone has any information on the function of the rabbit it would be appreciated. 

Boss 5: Lavanger Barkud – 10 mentos

If you’ve been questing and doing the Toni/Morrock quests in LoM you’ll recognize this guy. I believe to complete the quest for him in this instance you’ll have to do it on hard mode.

At the start of the fight the boss will not attack but will spawn waves of adds. Along both sides of the room are usable food items. Following a pattern for using the foods will kill the adds, they don’t hit hard (easy) but are difficult to kill themselves. 

The pattern is this: Meat (placed in center of the room) will aggro all the mobs and draw them in to itself. Wine will douse the mobs in a radius (use over the meat) and the Candle will burn them. Mage and warrior aoe’s help here as well. The Soup can slow down the mobs, guessing it’ll be useful for buying some time for the meat. 

Once the waves of adds are gone the boss strikes. And he’s tough, even on easy. We were not able to defeat him (not a ringing endorsement is it?). He cast a aoe poison gas that on easy was striking for around 13k a tick (we’re thinking it’s percentage based because the values for everyone were different).

Keeping spread out and moving around appeared to help with the poison gasses, which seems to target 2 players when cast (Mattyb/Charliebananas).

Thx – Scootermtb for the above tips. Additionally he’ll name the player that he’s going to hit with this move, and he casts it pretty frequently. I tried interrupting it with BC but to no avail. Party should probably be carrying Rainbow Crystal Candy for this fight.

Trash

There’s not a whole lot of trash in the instance, but we entered on Normal and the 1st mob (a roller skating clown) charged one of us and one shot him. Be aware of the stuffed teddy bears as they come to life once you near them.

Edit: I will have to add that this is one of the most visually interesting and entertaining instances I’ve come across, I have a feeling that once I’m running it regularly it will be one of my personal favorites. 

Also, while gear from easy does drop dirty, the stats are still pretty decent, even the greens, and the gear is a little better than zs/dl gear but without the set bonuses, perfect for dirty statting to get into content.

BOLINTHYA RIFT OVERVIEW
Location: Dust Devil Canyon @ (56.9, 64.0) OR Silverspring @ (37.0, 30.4)

Easy Mode: Accessible through zone transportation prompts OR by talking to [Gugan Gelitz] outside the Obsidian Stronghold OR by talking to [Lydia Anne] outside Varanas. It is a level 50+ instance (mobs level 30 – 50).

Hard Mode: Accessible ONLY through the use of the transportation set skill (requires level 65) for Bolinthya Rift. This set skill can be bought from the Codex NPCs in Kampel Town, Land of Malevolence. It is a level 65+ instance (mobs elite level 65 – ?). Requirements are about the same as Grafu Castle – Hard Mode.

Group Size: This battlefield is not meant to be solo’d. The best approach would be a 12-man or 36-man raid, especially if you are attempting the hard mode.

Time (Easy Mode): 1 Hour Timer; when time is up, you will be ported outside.
Time (Hard Mode): It is timed in accordance to tasks that must be carried out. For example, you have 3 minutes to complete the first task or else you will be ported out and receive an exhaustion debuff that prohibits you from re-entering Hard Mode for 10 minutes.

Points: You receive battlefield points for staying in Bolinthya Rift for the full 1 hour. Points can be exchanged for special armor at NPCs in Obsidian Stronghold and Varanas West. For merely standing inside Bolinthya Rift for the full 1 hour, you will be awarded 55 points. For killing all the bosses you receive 165 points.

Gates
Easy Mode:
The gates are similar to Siege War castle gates. They have high defense and DoTs cause more damage than regular attacks. The two gates leading to Tealiss are immune to attack, most likely until the first 3 bosses (Tanboli, Lanka, and Woozilla) are successfully defeated. You can use catapults to take down the gates faster. 
For every ~25% HP you take off the gate, a mob portal will spawn. This prompts Angren mobs to appear and attack either you or the catapult. 
These gates can very RARELY be shadow stepped so don’t bother trying. Other outcomes are that it will have no effect, that you will use the skill but stay in the same spot, or that you will get stuck inside the gate. It’s faster and easier to use catapults and more importantly, it’s FAIR. :]

Hard Mode:
The only gates are the ones around the boss areas. All other gates are gone.

Catapults
Easy Mode:
There are usually 2 construction points for catapults near each gate. The construction points by the first 2 gates do not require any materials. You can build a catapult by clicking on the node 2 times and these catapults can be rebuilt an infinite amount of times. For every catapult afterwards, you will have to collect [Catapult Part] (requires level 30). You need only one [Catapult Part] for each catapult you construct. This item is Bound, which means it cannot be traded between players. To receive the [Catapult Part], you must complete easy quests given to you by soldier NPCs you encounter along the path (1 part per quest completion). For example, one quest may be to kill Ents and Bolmus and another quest may be to kill Angren mobs.
Catapults decrease the HP of a Gate by 5% per hit.

Hard Mode:
There are no gates, therefore there are no catapults.

Ballistas
Ballistas are used against the bosses in this battlefield. There are a handful of construction points within the boss areas for Tanboli and Woozilla (estimating at least 5). The ballistas require 40 supplies each in order to be constructed. The supplies appear in the form of wooden crates called "Battlefield Supply " along the cliff-route to both Tanboli and Woozilla (appears in your bag as [Box of Materials]). The supplies that are collected in your inventory are Bound items and cannot be traded between players. Balistas take off about 1% boss hp per hit and cause a lot of aggro. There are no construction points in Lanka’s area so be prepared to take him on without assistance.

Mobs (Hard Mode ONLY)
This information applies specifically to the hard mode version! There are generally NO mobs throughout the map until you get to the gated area around each individual boss. In these areas there are large portals from which Angren elite mobs that are IMMUNE to physical damage will spawn (about 10 mobs per on the first wave out of four waves). These mobs are level 65 elites and ARE part of the process of running this version. Defeating these waves of mobs will spawn a boss. The best strategy for these mobs would be to pair a tank and mage with a priest/druid for heals; the tank will help maintain aggro while the mage uses AOEs. Ideally you need to do this with a group of at least 6 or more players because while half of the group fights the mobs on the northern side, the other half of the group has to fight mobs on the southern side.

Gear Rewards
Easy Mode:
Upon entering the battlefield there is an NPC named [Kenneth Hawking] in front of some troops. If you talk to him he will give you a daily quest (counts as one of your 10 dailies) called "Key to Victory." The quest asks you to defeat Toxic Tealiss, which is the final boss. If you can succeed in doing that you receive a bag containing a random piece of armor (can choose between Plate, Chain, Leather, and Cloth). I would not recommend pursuing this quest because it just gives some run-of-the-mill green armor for under level 50, which is the same stuff you get off the mobs in Ravenfell.

Hard Mode:
Cavern set gear drops off of bosses only in hard mode. One of the leather sets can be viewed here: Agility of the Cavern

LANKA THE DREADFUL

Description
Lanka the Dreadful is a pretty big guy who spawns a lot of mobs on you (Elite Guardian Captains and Rune Swordsmen). A lot of the attacks from the mobs are stuns, roots, or DoTs. He also has a habit of rejuvenating HP during combat. Hard Mode: In the hard mode version, Lanka has about 13 million HP.

Strategy
For this one, you’re definitely going to need a mage to AOE the spawns and either a priest or druid (or both!) for some debuff cleansers. If possible, druids should use their Spirit Guidance skill to make some of the adds friendly. This will cut down on the amount of debuffs that are stacked on your party. (More to come…)

Hard Mode: 12-man Raid vs Lanka (German)
This is the only video I’ve come across so far; it isn’t a successful run, but it gives the jist of the strategy. What happens in this video is a 12-man raid is put together with 1 tank, 2 mages, 2 dps, and 1 healer (I think) for each group of 6. The first group of 6 takes the southern route and the second group of 6 takes the northern route. Halfway through, the first group wipes and fails their mission. The second group is able to spawn Lanka, who proceeds to 1-hit everyone, wiping the group. The NPCs are also killed.

TANBOLI

Description
Tanboli looks like the twin of Medusa from HotO…or else it’s Mother Nature on a bad day. Tanboli is fairly straight-forward; she doesn’t spawn any adds, but she has some mean roots, curses, and DoTs. Also, there are catapults located on the cliffs above the area, which are fired at you throughout the whole fight. If Tanboli roots you and the catapults attack your party, areas of fire will spawn under you hitting for about 1000 HP every 2 seconds. The only way to avoid this is to travel through the cliff-route (farther north than the normal route that connects to Lanka) and take out these catapults before you attack her main gate and begin the fight.

Strategy
You should always take out the cliff catapults FIRST or you’ll be taking on extra damage throughout the fight. Enemy catapults also interrupt spell casts. Remember to collect the crates along this path in order to construct your ballistas in the boss area. If you take the cliff-route first, you will have ample time to construct all the ballistas in the area since Tanboli will NOT spawn until you destroy the low-road gate (connects to Lanka’s area).
If you have any skills that prevent rooting, use them when you’re rooted with catapult fire under your feet so you can get out of there asap. For those that can’t get out of being rooted, make sure you have some druids or priests near by to keep up your HP for the duration of that attack. 
You will need a priest or druid to cleanse the curse debuffs. (More to come…)

WOOZILLA

Description
Woozilla looks like the panther queen of Angren and yes, she packs a real punch. However, she is pretty straight-forward, doesn’t spawn any adds. She does have a pretty powerful DoT like Tanboli, but hits a lot harder. Description
Toxic Tealiss is the demon boss in charge of the whole battlefield of Bolinthya Rift. She’s incredibly large and tall and has a pretty nasty poison debuff.

Bring a druid with the Antidote to Tealiss’ poison! (More to come…)

FAQS

Q: I went to an area where a boss should appear, but I don’t see the boss. Is it bugged?
A: It is most likely NOT bugged. Bosses will not appear if you do not proceed through Bolinthya normally. This means if you hack, cheat, or try to shadow step past gates, the boss will not appear. For Tanboli, you MUST destroy the gate before her area in order for her to spawn. Remember:Bolinthya Rift is a world battlefield so another possibility is that someone else has already killed the boss.

Q: I went to the coordinates in your thread for Bolinthya Rift but the area was deserted. Did you post the wrong location?
A: The location is correct. However, the portal to Bolinthya is not open 24/7 even though the battlefield itself is open 24/7. You can either wait for the zone prompt asking if you want to participate in the A Silent Danger Approaches event OR you can go to [Gugan Gelitz] outside of Obsidian Stronghold to be transported OR you can go to [Lydia Anne] ouside of Varanas to be transported.

Q: I tried to go through the exit portal, but nothing happened. How do I get out?
A: For some reason sometimes the exit does not work. If this happens you can either use Recall to exit or you have to wait for the time to expire.

Q: What is the set that I need to access the hard mode version?
A: There is a plate, chain, leather, and cloth set that have this skill available. Only 3 pieces are in the set and only 3 are required to extract the set skill. For plate, the set is called "Plate Costume of the Rescuer." For chain, the set is called "Chain Costume of the Destroyer." For leather, the set is called "Leather Costume of the Escort." For cloth, the set is called "Robe Costume of the Protector." The entire sets are all available for purchase in Kampel Town, Land of Malevolence at the Black Codex NPCs. These sets are separate from the sets that give the Osalon Valley transports so make sure you read carefully and buy the correct pieces.

Q: How much does the hardmode transport set/set skill cost?
A by [Trav42073]: It cost 500k gold to extract the skill, after paying 150 mems and some gold for the 3 piece set.

Q: What are those portal pads at the entrance to Bolinthya Rift hard mode?
A: The portal pads are NOT exits. They merely allow you to port ahead to the first boss area on the map (since there are no mobs or gates, it’s just for the purpose of saving travel time).

To mods: Sorry that this is a self-split, but I thought that not many people would see this on the 5th page of "What do the new housekeepers do?" so I made a new thread.

This is the basic info screen for housemaids. This can be accessed by pressing the far right button in the house information window.

There are six panels for people’s faces, and as such, the maximum nomber of Maids that can be in your house is 6, no matter your house size.

Note there are four buttons on the bottom. this allows you to control your Housemaids. 

The first button is to "summon" your housemaid. This makes the housemaid appear in frount of you, facing you. Place it where and how you wish.

The Second button is to recall a placed housemaid. this allows you to hide any housemaid that might not have an outfit, or one that you just dont have room for.

The third button is the dismiss button. this PERMANENTLY removes the person from your House Maid roster.

The fourth and final button is to hire more housemaids. Click this to bring up the next window, with information on all available maids that can be hired.

this screen is the House Maid recruitment window. you can see tabs on the right, that may or may not be greyed out. Greyed out ones are hired maids- you CANNOT hire them.

From the top, you can see some basic information about the person you are recruiting. Including birth datae, sign, and more. This has no effect in the game as far as I have seen.

Next is the stats. Not that most stats are capped at 80. HOWEVER, each maid has ONE skill that is capped at 100, their "Chosen Profession" this means that if you buy the housemaid, you will be able to train them to level to 100, and they will make superior items.

The first stat from the top left is what i call "Attunement" this means how much the person is willing to server you. Chatting raises attunement, but once you get past 80, it sometimes takes 5-10 chats to raise it by one! Attunement is VERY imortant; as it govern’s the maids ability to train skills. A maid with 22 attunement can only train her skills up to 22! This is why chatting with your maid until she is at 100 Attunement is highly reccomended.

The second stat is Charisma. Although I have yet to see it ingame. Charisma is raised when Attunement is raised, meaning this will be filled the more you chat with them as well.

The Third stat is Fatigue. When this bar fills, they will no longer be able to perform any duties until they rest. Mind this at all times! 

UPDATE: Before going to Hoto, I got 4 stacks of potions from one maid, and they where fatigued. I got all the buffs/supplies needed, and then went and did Hoto. Upon returning an hour later, the fatigue was reset to 0. I do not know if it is a bug preventing some people from losing fatigue, but it seems that they lose some on either a 5-30 minute basis, or else reset every hour, like the respawn things for hiring.

The fourth stat is Magic. this skill is used to place a magic buff on you when you wish. This stat, when at level 80, gives 1050 Magical Attack and an additional 2% added onto that; and it lasts 2 hours. At level 100, this is capped at 1575 Magic Attack and 6%, with a 4 hour duration! Also, they have a second buff that raises Magic critical by 210 at level 100 for four hours!

The next column, from the top is the Battle stat. this stat gives you a boost to your Physical attack, good for rogues and scouts. At level 80, it is the same as Magic, with 1050 Attack and 2% added on and a 2 hour duration, then at level 100 it is 1575 Physical Attack and 6% added on and a 4 hour duration. Also, from repeated clicks, itsometimes removes the buffs and gives a Physical Critical buff instead, with same numbers above.!

The next is Defense stat. this is for tanks and those who want HP. This stat gives HP, like the others give Physical attack and Magical attack. Once again, at level 80, it is 1050 HP and 2% Additional with a 2 hour duration, and at 100 it is 1575 and 6% additional with a 4 hour duration. Sometimes gives a physical defense buff instead of the HP buff.

The next stat is the Cooking stat. This means you will no longer have to worry about sneding your heard earned gold on food! (Well, most food anyways.) This skill allows the maid to cook for you, making the following items:

The next stat is possibly the most fun and useful stat. Unlike Cooking, which gives ripoffs of ingame items, Crafting makes Potions you CANNOT get ANYWHERE else! Some of these are novelty potions, and overs are insanely powerful! The list is as follows.

Fullness – Turns you into a giant, like the GMs

At the bottom right you can see the "Hire" button. this allows you to hire the currently selected maid. HOWEVER< if you see the red text "Hired" this means the have Already been hired by another player. However, when this happens, all is not lost.

Every hour, the people in the roster reset. This allows anyone to buy them. (The best thing to do is just camp in your house for an hour and wait till they are on sale again.)

Now that you have your Maid and have placed them (Using the button described above) you can start having them learn and train their skills.

To start with, you cannot do anything with the maids. they will NOT listen to you. To solve this, simply talk to them a few times to get their "Attunement" up.

Here is a screenshot of the chat window that opens up.

The first option, Chat, allows you to talk in ;/say with the Maid. (Well, they talk, you listen) this gives a +1 to Attunement and charisma. However, if the attunement is high (80+) you will need MULTIPLE chats to get One point of attunement!

The second option is "Magic Carriculum" This allows the maid to cast a Magic attack enhancing buff on you. Depending on her Magic level, the buff gets stronger. Chosing this option raises the maid’s Magic level by 1.

The third option is "Battle Curriculum" This gives the Physical Attack buff mentioned above. Again, this relies upon the battle stat. Choosing this levels the maid’s battle skill by 1.

The fourth option is "Defense Curriculum" This gives the HP buff listed above. This relys upon the maid’s Defense stat. This option, when chosen, adds 1 level to the maid’s defense stat.

The fifth option is Cooking. doing this will give you a random number of foodstuffs. This number gets higher the higher level the maid has in cooking, as well as better foods! My level 100 cooking maid gives me 62 Unimaginable salads!

The sixth option is Crafting. This relys upon the maid’s crafting skill to make potions. this gives you a random number of random potions. Unlike cooking, the number remains around the same no matter the level; the only change is the quality and powers of the potions.

The final option takes you into the Housekeeper attributes page, which tells you their levels. This also allows you to equip your maids how you wish!

Next to learn is the Housekeeper equipment screen. Not Only can you equip them with any look you wish, but they can also hold items for you!

The housekeeper comes with slots like a mannequin, but with one additional; you can even give them wings! equipping them has no visible function to the game, however. Maybe a possible future awaits where people can be attacked in their houses and their maids can fight to save them; who knows?

Anyways, unlike a mannequin, they can ALSO hold up to 10 ADDITIONAL items, making them a living chest! This means not only can you make them look good, but you can store anything you need to store with them.

Let’s start with Rogue; A shadowy, assassin-type class, much like warcraft. Leather gear, crit, damage, fast daggers and quick reflexes are what the Rogue is all about.

R/K: This particular Rogue is a very balanced build; Good, steady dps from the Rogue side, and added defense and HP from the Knight secondary to offset the Rogue’s natural squishiness. There are no real flaws in elites(patk raise, hp raise, etc), and the /k offers more than one skill to spam when energy is down. Great for tanking/off-tanking if geared enough.

R/S: This crit-happy Rogue is certainly the most classical one, and an easy build at that. /S lets you equip bows and xbows on the rogue side, while offering a few ranged skills(not enough to make you a ranged dps, per say, but good for solo’ing) on the side. As i mentioned before, this build revolves around crits and burst damage, sacrificing defense for damage.

R/M: This is your standard Rogue with an extra heaping of CC. This is certainly a skill-oriented build, with trap-laying elites lol. Some mdmg fireball and CC from the mage, including a Silence for those pesky casters. A good physical DPS build for PvP with Caster-silencing abilities.

R/W: Dual-weilding axes, stackable bleeds. Nuff’ said lol.

R/P: A Rogue with self-heals and a single magic(ranged) skill. Passive buffs include water resistance(PvP Priests), and magic resistance(Casters!!)

R/Wd: is a good Rogue with awesome elites. Many of them are hard-hitting, increase crit damage, auto self-heal upon taking damage, and one the reduces mdmg on you.

R/D: no

The Mage is a ranged magic-based class. CC’s, AoE’s, and nukes are a trademark. 

M/K: most important benefits are the passive buffs and EA from Knight General skills. They can mitigate the Mage’s characteristic squishiness to a degree. The arsenal of Light element spells can also add some variety to the usual Mage repertoire. The way it works now, Intensification + SoL makes a good combo. However, there’s nothing in particular that drastically affects the power of your AoE; just defensive benefits to protect you when you AoE and boosted mana pool.

M/S: A potent PvP combo with burst single-target damage. Keep in mind that Fire Rose only stacks the skill damage, not the mDam contribution. Basically burst damage, CC, and an enchanted shot for damage capability even when silenced.

M/W: No

M/R: While dual-wield opens up more options in terms of maximizing your DPS at any particular gear choice, the main benefit of this is the cast-time reduction of Shadow Shroud. Rogue general skills are a mixed lot, dodge benefit isn’t bad, per say, but just of situational usefulness. It basically has its ups and downs.

M/Wd: The only combo that can take decent advantage of Stone Scale Blade due to Earth Scepter. Also gets useful critical potential from Earth Markings, and EGWB is a potent spell because you get to double-dip mDam with elemental bonuses for both hits.

M/D: A tad more independent than M/P, this combo focuses more on offensive potential than healing. Druid general skills are less useful than Priest generals, but the first 2 Elites, Perception and Magic Target are very useful, especially late-game. Also has a double-hit spell in Magma Blade, though only the Fire portion has Mastery bonus.

M/P: See, Above, but more heals over dps.

Scouts are physical ranged dps. Essentially a ranged Rogue. Fast shots, steady dps.

S/K: A sustainable scout. They’re heavily armored machine guns– never stop firing and can take a beating. A great end-game tanking class. You can start building up nice aggro at a distance and Scout is already a high DPS class to begin with. Knight General Skills greatly assist to fill in Scout’s few weaknesses.

S/R: Another crit-happy Scout, they shoot sh!t fast lol. Extra speed, dodge, and offhand from the Rogue benifit greatly. 

S/M: Plays just like all scouts do, but with the added benefit of both an aggro wipe AND an aggro dump, Lightning and Silence from Mage general skills, and an AoE with root chance to supplement single-target capacity. Basically, a Scout with an side order of CC.

S/P: get a ranged defensive dispel, a mana regeneration cooldown, a slight buff to Snipe ,a powerful group cooldown increasing attack and casting speed, and a buff to it causing it to heal the Scout. They also get an aggro-lead, a few self-heals, and extra mdef resistance from /p general.

S/W: turn rage into powerful temporary buffs, increasing their dexterity, gain a permanent buff to HP, a buff to, a buff increasing concentration regeneration, and increasing the physical damage done to a target. Also, the abilities to wear axes can be benificial in melee combat.

S/Wd: Eclectic elite skills, almost all of which adding a new, powerful skill to your arsenal. Coupled with a Vanish-type move, hard hitting spells, and two new DoT’s, this Scout is a force to be reckoned with.

S/D: Imo, better skills than the S/P, adding some of the same skills, a buff to crit, a slew of remove-root/stun moes, and the ability of self-healing on the side.

The Warrior is a beefy dps. Trading dodge, speed, and squishiness for heavy hits, slow big axes, and bulky chain armor. 

W/D: Has some decent elites, a few new skills, but many are buffs or enhancements to existng abilities.

W/K: This combination complements the Warrior’s tanking abilities, giving them a ranged pulling ability, a potentially consistent blocking buff, a potent PVP-oriented cooldown, (Immune to helpless/stun/root for ten seconds) a potent damage/threat building skill, and additional rage generation. 

W/M: The W/M complements the Warrior’s playstyle by taking advantage of a mana pool that often sees little use. It supplies a high-damaging weapon skill that buffs and stacks up to three times of magic damage done (30%), a strong melee-range elemental-damage strike, a Damage reduction ability, a ranged nuke, and the ability to imbue the Warrior’s weapon to cause wind damage with every normal attack. Overall, the warrior/mage combo provides other useful abilities like Silence and a snare spell. (Lighting and augments the warrior’s lack of range attacks with Thunder Sword which can be devastating when fully upgraded.) Later on at higher levels, this combo begins to rely heavily on the magical aspect of its secondary as most of the later elite skills are based on magic damage, making the Intellect stat more important. While the combination can be seen as a hybrid class, ideally the player should choose between going either melee or magic focused as going balanced with both will only limit the abilities in the end. 

W/P: Fairly eclectic. It features a desperation cooldown, an interrupting ability, a buff to Magic Barrier skill, an ability to convert health directly into rage, and a high damage attack used when the target is Weakened as per Soft Spot. Not many other benifits from /p except self-heals and mdmg resistance buffs.

W/R: The Warrior/Rogue elite skills, like the Warrior/Priest, don’t affect a character’s playstyle that much. One skill changes the functionality of Shadowstab’s bleed effect (Shadowstab Perfection); another increases the warrior’s base movement speed (Speed Up). Blood Dance gives characters another powerful attack that costs HP while Frenzied Attack acts as powerful but risky damage-increasing cooldown. Keen Attack is another combo skill, usable when the target is Vulnerable (as per Probing Attack), striking twice for a large amount of damage. 

W/S: The Warrior/Scout combination favors two-handed weapons in close range and adds more skills to the Scout’s ranged skills. Warrior/Scouts gain a powerful close-range strike, a ranged stun, a buff to the Moon Cleave skill, a ranged strike that complement Warrior rage generation, and a ranged strike that does the same but is based off of weapon DPS. 

W/Wd: This is a good PvP-oriented build, with many new skills from /Wd, and PvP anti-silence/helpless/stun/fear/root thing that raises crit rate, and buffs to crit damage.

I’m going to to go ahead and include Knight, Priest, Druid, and Warden, as, well all servers need their tanks, healers, and scapegoats.

The Knight is a tank. Massive hp, massive pdef, bulky plate armor and shields are their specialty.
Knight cannot be Druid or Warden secondary.

K/M: The Knight/Mage combination focuses on passive damage and protection, giving them a Light-damaging aura, a Damage over Time skill, a slowing component to Whirlwind Shield, reflective armor, the power to take damage to mana instead of health, and a powerful buff to Mana Return. K/M’s get an extra fireball, silence, and CC from Mage General.

K/P: The K/P combination focuses on their ability to deal light damage and protect group members, giving them a damage over time effect, a powerful strike usable when the DoT is on the target, a tool to reduce aggro generation, the ability to prevent mobility hampering effects on any target, and a powerful buff to Shield of Valor. They also get a buff to resolution, and self heals, extra mdef, and water resistance from /P. K/P’s benifit from massive hp, and massive pdef/mdef.

K/R: K/R emphasizes the ability to crit, increasing Holy Strike’s chance to crit by 40%, a powerful strike only usable after critical hits, an increase to Blind Stab’s duration, a consistent buff increasing the ability to crit, and a powerful weapon-based AoE skill. K/R’s benifit from lots of crit, weapon speed, dodge, and patk.

K/S: The Knight/Scout combination focuses on the knight’s tanking skills, giving them a ranged taunt, a buff to Holy Strike, a monster type specific root, a ranged area of effect taunt, and an additional chance to reduce damage dealt when using Heavenly Arrow. K/S benifit’s from extra kiting, the ability to use the bow slot as an extra stat holder, and some /s CC’s.

K/W: This combination focuses more on area of effect and damage skills, giving them an increase in Whirlwind Shield’s damage, the ability to equip two-handed axes at increased effect, a buff to Whirlwind, a cooldown increasing parry chance, and a cooldown granting temporary immunity to fear.

P/K: Priest/Knights focus on the healing/utility aspect of group play, changing Grace of Life to also grant MP, making Urgent Heal also heal the caster, giving a cast time reducing cooldown, adding a powerful buff that increases effectiveness at healing while reducing effectiveness at damaging, and another buff that grants temporary fear immunity to a target 

P/M: The p/m combination is fairly eclectic, combining crowd control, the ability to remove curses, a mana restoration group buff, a mana restoration cooldown, and a buff to Lightning that places a debuff increasing wind and water damage done to a target if the target is afflicted with Bone Chill when struck. P/M’s also benifit from a skill called Icewind Blade, a powerful single-strike damage hit.

P/R: The Priest/Rogue combination focuses on granting offensive abilities, like a Dark damage over time ability, a medium-cooldown Dark damage nuke, applying Nimble Hands to spellcasting, an offensive dispel, and a long-cooldown DoT with a stun component. It also has two awesome elites, one increasing Crit for the whole party, and one that restores mana when using a certain skill.

P/S: This fun combo has a fairly eclectic elite skill set, giving them a magic attack buff, a ranged Throat Attack, changing Wave Armor so that it buffs defense, allowing Rising Tide to scale off ranged weapon damage, and an area of effect heal with a regeneration effect. Overall great healers. +1

P/W: This fun(? hehe) combination focuses around enhancing the Priest’s melee capabilities through Battle Monk Stance, giving them three powerful strikes; Explosion of Fighting Spirit, Fighting Spirit Combination, the powerful Ascending Dragon Strike, and an ability that doubles the power of the next physical attack. They also gain a very hard hitting skill that has a base damage of 300% weapon dps at +0, and scales almost 20 per level.

Druids are specialist healers, with their secondary defining how they heal.
Druids cannot have Knight or Priest as their secondary.

D/M: The Druid/Mage actually sports DPS rather than healing. A hybrid healer/dps combo, this one is neither excelling in either, but has a balanced mixed of dps and healing.

D/R: The Druid/Rogue leans more towards DPS, focusing on Dark damage, crit, DoT’s, and powerful single-strikes.

D/S: The D/S is generally termed as the ~best~ druid healer, focusing on pure healing. Specialists in single-target, these healers can ake any class a tank.

D/Wd: Probably next in line for Druid healing, thrown in with some damage skills.

D/W: A really wierd healing combo, with really, depending on how you stat, can be a healer or DPS. DPS is similar to the P/W, healing is more like a mobile Group HEal.

"Warden is quite unbalanced. It is a pet user class and suffers from the age-old summoner trope of the pet being god mode in the beginning, but not being able to keep up with content and thus falling flat on its face by end-game. So Wd/S will work quite well for leveling and questing purposes, but eventually you’ll need to switch to S/Wd for instances and end-game overworld. Wd/S gets primary benefit from their elite Chiron summon, a pet no other Warden gets. S/Wd is a very, very solid Scout build. Recent [Shot] issues aside, it is one of few combos with a majority of useful Elites. Only Charged Power is useless. All in all, a solid combo if you have a good mind for strategy and long-range damage."

Nearly ~all~ warden mains are similar in gameplay/style as the vast 75% of all their elites focus around the pet. The Warden currently scales horribly into endgame.

Forum regs know how often new players (or new forum viewers) ask for build advice.

The problem with "LF X/Y build" posts is that many don’t understand that "build" doesn’t apply to ROM in the way it does in other games.

In other RPGs and MMOs (where most of us come from) you generally have attribute points, skill points of a finite number to spend on your character, so you have to make the most of them. Thus many new players come to the forums seeking "build guides" in this traditional sense.

ROM opperates differently in a few respects.

1. Talent Points(TP) is essentially infinite for our purposes. Once you reach max level (no longer gain XP) you continue to gain TP from quests and kills. As such eventually all skills can be maxed!

2. Attributes (Stats) in ROM are not "invested in" in the traditional sense. Each level you will gain a static boost to certain stats. Your secondary class also provides a boost to your currently selected primary in the form of 10% of their base stats being applied to the primary.

ie. S/R – Rogue has 100 of each attribute as it’s base. The Scout therefore recieves a bonus of 10 to each attribute.

The way folks modify stats is through gear modification and selection (the core of what this game is about).

"So what am I really looking for then?"

1. What skills are useful, and should be priorities in leveling:

Skills generally do not scale well with levels. Rank 0 is very powerful relative to rank 1. With each TP invested, skills get more and more expensive, and their relative power does not scale accordingly.

As such early on it will be hard to "max" (keep @ same level) more than perhaps 3-4 skills.

For this reason "rules of thumb" apply.

Many players keep 3-4 core skills within about 5 levels of their character.
The next most important skills are often kept within 10-15 levels.
Least important skills are either not leveled until much later, or lag 20+ levels behind.

What you need to glean from "guides" and class/build specific posts are how important skills are for your character, and prioritize your TP investment.

2. What stats are most important:

Even within the same class, there can be times that certain stats are simply better for build X over build Y. Thus an understanding of what stats do is very desirable. Take a look at the guide in my sig, or theromwiki.com/Attributes for this information.

Once you have a handle on what benefits they offer, the decision is largely self evident. For more specific stat advice seek help from class "experts" in their respective forums.

3. Elite skills:

The make or break aspect of many builds. Much like regular skills, some are worth investing in, others are not, and some come pre-maxed and require no investment. 

Again, read and ask specific questions if unsure. Some elites are considered "must haves" and others garbage. Don’t let the term "elite" fool you into thinking they should be maxed. Do your research.

4. Skill rotations:

This is key to learning your class. Also learning skill rotations will help you learn which skills are used most often, and thus should be kept high until you’re able to max them.

5. the 50+ problem:

You’ll quickly notice that after 50 the cost to upgrade skills becomes massive. You’ll also notice you have massive amounts of TP to spend. The temptation is to continue as usual.

IMHO it is best to level all useful (not necessarily every skill, by 50 you should know the difference) to 50 before going any further.

This is especially true for casters who can effectively leave most "casted" skills at very low levels and still be relevant with a good weapon (because of how casted spells are calculated).

This will also give you time to reflect on the usefulness of skills, and focus your attention post 50 on the skills that will carry you into end game.

Extra advice

(a) Skill Reset @ 30 – don’t waste this stone too early. Yes you’re 30 and starving for TP, it gets better and this is a vulable item to use later if you discover you’ve invested 50 levels in a skill you don’t really need. Or if you decide to re-roll and want to recoup all your TP.

(b) Maximize TP bonus’ – these are availble in the form of Potions, Housing Furniture, and sometimes "events" such as double TP weekends. It’s tempting to maximize XP, but the more TP you gain relative to XP will maximize your potential.

(c) DO YOUR DAILY QUESTS – this is just sound advice in general. But many players find a "hump" around 28, 39, 44 and 55. This is often because they failed to diligently do their daily quests.

The number of actual quests in this game is not sufficient to level 2 sides to max level, you must make use of daily quests – and the tokens are absolute must haves for several reasons.

Final Notes

I hope that reading this guide steers you in the right direction, endables you to ask more pointed/relevant questions about your chosen class/build, and maybe even tought you something in the process.

Knowing your class:
This is one of the highest dps wardens. If you like things to go boom, then pick this one. Wd/r however is one of the hardest wardens to lvl from 1-55, so be aware of this. This class specializes in crit damage, DoTs, and pure damage from some of your main skills.

Elite Skills:

Achilles’ Heel Strike- Excellent damage, and gives a buff to you and your pet’s crit rate. Very helpful to remember this. The 30 energy cost is a bit high though in long fights.

Thorn Upgrade- This is a very good upgrade to thorny vine. It restores a ton of your mana, and does very good damage. Use this, but try saving for low mana.

Gravel Attack- This is another DoT. Though i do not recommend it very much. This skill has very high mana cost, and the DoT isn’t very strong.

Soul of the Spirit Tree- Very helpful in long fights, gives you a huge boost of damage to Power of the Wood Spirit, when target is at 30% HP or lower.

Store Power- Nice boost to charge chop, some extra damage. As well as +10% crit on it.

Critical Feeling- This is why you would want oak walker as a pet. When you crit she hits the target. When she hits the target your next 2 attacks crit. It is an endless chain of fun for all. (Crit buff only procs every 30 sec though)

Walker Spirit- This is a dodge and move speed +50% buff. Pretty much you will only use this to catch up to people in pvp and such though.

Together- This is pretty much a 10% damage buff. Keep in mind when using this. There is a 2min Cool down.

Rogue Skills:

Shadow Stab- This is not used much, because its dps is so low, and its bleed effect requires a dagger. Saves mana pots at low lvls though.

Throw- This is a ranged attack, used mainly for pulling. The damage is terrible.

Blind Stab- You may use this often, depending on if you think you need -40% acc on target. The dps isn’t the best, but still pretty good.

Projectile Training- It lets you use Throw!

Off Hand Training- Pretty useless for us, as we use 2-H weapons.

Agility- Increases your dodge rate by a nice amount

Nimble Hands- This increases your attack speed. Will add a lot to your total dps.

Shadow Step- Teleports you behind the target. 

Pet:
Oak Walker- If you want to follow your elites go for this pet as your main. You will have less damage yourself, but she will have a nice amount of dps. You may also use her for 15% damage, and just use a different pet.

Nature Crystal- This pet is great if you are using Oak Walker for her buff. This pet spams buff on you, such as attack and cast speed +5%. You can also Use this pet for crit rate buff and summon oak walker.

Spirit of the Oak- This is your best friend at low lvls, he has a high aggro rate, nice HP, and decent dps. End game though wd/r doesn’t favor this pet as much. Some will still prefer him though.

Conclusions:
This Warden can do great dps. This warden will also have the highest attack speed, and skill damage of all the wardens. If you are looking for dps in a warden, then this is a great warden to play. Along with all the move speed buffs, and teleports that just make it fun to play.

Knowing your class:
Warden/mage is much less support then warden/druid, and more dps. Since it still has support skills i will call it a support warden. This basically transforms warden into an aoe dps class. You will still have good single target damage, but all your skills will mostly be magical aoes.

Elite Skills:

Wind Chop- This will be your spamming skill especially at lower lvls. It does both physical and magic damage. So when your main skills are on cd you will use this

Tough Oak- All pets get a huge increase to pdef like 50% or so. Also spirit of the oak’s cool down for punch is reduced by 1 second.

Oak Blessing- This makes the Heart of the Oak buff much stronger, so you may be better off using Spirit of oak for buff and use crystal as pet at this point.

Nature’s Revenge- This is a very strong new skill for nature crystal. It is an aoe that takes 2 seconds to charge up with no cd and does more damage then Beam Attack, so you can pretty much through beam attack away.

Spiritual Feedback- Reduces the HP consumption of Spirit Attack by 10% so now it cost 20% of your pet’s max HP. Also can increase you and your pet’s magic damage by 12% for 20 seconds.

Crystal Protection- If Nature Crystal dies all damage suffered by people in your group is reduced by 20% for 20 seconds, but you may not summon nature crystal for 40 seconds. This is kind of a win lose elite. Less damage taken can me helpful, but nature crystal does a lot of damage when it is summoned.

Narrow Escape- This is soul bound for your pets. However because of the elite that says nature crystal can not be re summoned for 40 seconds this skill will not work on him only the other 2, so i do not use this much.

Crystal Boost- This makes it so crystal explosion will no longer kill the nature crystal. It will drain 80% of his max hp and restore about 1000 mana to everyone nearby, along with hurting the mobs.

Mage Skills:

Fireball- Does a decent amount of fire damage to the target. 6 second cd

Lightning- Does some damage to the target and roots them for about 10 seconds. 20 second cd

Wisdom- Increases your Intelligence by a large amount.

Intensification- Increases your magic damage by a large amount for 20 seconds. 2min cd

Silence- Used mostly for pvp it makes it so target can not cast skills for 10 seconds if mob and 5 seconds if player. 24 second cd(strange cd)

Fire Ward- You will take less damage to fire type skills. This can be useful i never really use it though. 

Pets:
I only like 1 pet for this build, because it is such a magic build.

Nature Crystal- This pet will do mass destruction on warden/mage. You can cast intensification then summon him for extra damage. This pet will do huge amounts of aoe damage if you are built correct. In pvp and pve he will be good.

Gear:

This class will stray away from everything i have said in warden general he will use different gear and different skills.

One of the only wardens who will need different skills then what i have said. Forget about charge chop and all that junk and go.

Frantic Briar- It is an matk aoe

Soul Attack- It is a magic spam skill that uses your pet’s HP to save mana.

Briar Shield- ok you can still lvl up this.

Crystal Explosion- It is an aoe that is pretty much only usefull on wd/m or wd/d

Elite Skill:

Wind Chop- you will not use it too much, but can be good single target dps.

Tough Oak- Crystal will die less!!!!!

Nature’s Revenge- It does a ton of damage.

Conclusion:
This is one of the more interesting wardens since it does not act like a warden at all. This one is if you like to see large amounts of aoe damage. spam Nature’s Revenge and Frantic Briar and watch everything fall.
