NINTENDO SWITCH, POKEMON GO, RESIDENT EVIL 7 +MORE
Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to the friday show where we discuss This Week In Gaming and if you enjoy the friday show please drop a like as it let’s me know wether you fine folk actually wanna see this or not.
Now with all that out of the way Let’s get into the news Big news this week is that Nighthold, the new raid for World of Warcraft: Legion totally went live We tried it on Normal for the first raid to get some tactics down and fumbled our way through 4 of the 6 bosses as one shots It’s kind of the complete opposite of Trial of Valor which was more difficult than it should have been. I imagine we’ll find some good challenges in Heroic difficulty. This weeks Bonus event is Wrath of the Lich King Timewalking The Nighthold has a World Boss just inside called Torm the Brute Suramar’s seperate world boss spawn is Ana-Mouz And the regular world boss for this week is Humongris in Val’Sharah If you missed it there’s a VoD for the Q&A with Legion Developer Paul Kubit The link for that and anything discussed in this show can be found in the description. and lastly for World of Warcraft news, some blue posts have revealed that with Mythic Nighthold comes higher level Mythic+ Keystone runs, increasing to level 15 from the previous max of 12 and a higher drop rate of curious coins.
Pokemon Go is showing signs of a big update soon to be unleashed with a forced update and some crazy things going on with your character skins Over the last few days, Pikachus had gained genders with the tails of some becoming heart shaped at the tip A sign of a female pikachu And then later all Raichus showing a squared off tail tip which is the sign of a female Raichu and after that all christmas Raichus had their hats go white. All of this craziness has since normalised with the skins returning to their former type Whether gender will be add as a physical showing for Pokemon is this coming update is unclear It could be the rest of generation 2, or both, or something else All we know is it should be quite a substantial update. Nintendo announced the other day that The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be the last game developed for the Wii U in a first party stand-point I’m not entirely certain what they mean by First party Stand-Point. Also in Nintendo news, The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ has been added to the launch releases list for the Switch When I originally read this, I presumed it was a joke considering the subject matter and just how child friendly Nintendo as a company is But then I remember that Resident Evil has been on a Nintendo console And I can’t see anything anywhere that would imply it isn’t legit, Aswell as the news of it’s addition to the launch The first few thousand copies are to come with something special at a full triple A title price tag it seems a little much to me But knowing Nintendo, that surprise could be quite cool and it’s nice to see actual incentive in preordering considering most of the time the incentive is just that you may be dissapointed with how the game turned out The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is a combination of all the Binding of Isaac versions resulting in more than 500 items throughout the game aswell as more than 6000 possible rooms The other 5 titles currently listed to launch with the switch are Just Dance 2017 1-2-Switch Skylanders: Imaginators Super Bomberman R and of course The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild I am a very happy camper about Resident Evil 7 being released on the Xbox One but to make matter even more epic, it will be a play anywhere release which for people like myself who both console and PC game, having the option to play on both is just fantastic and won’t cost me a second copy to do so How do you guys feel about play anywhere, any particular upcoming titles youd love to see using this feature? In non gaming but awesome amazing looking news, Netflix have released a trailer for their up coming epic ass looking Sci-Fi project The Discovery A movie about a future where the afterlife has been scientifically proven so everyone just thinks “Well, why bother with this life if there’s awesome stuff after it” The premise is just so cool and feeds our post apocalyptic style addiction I mean, Come on, who doesn’t have a Zombie Plan by now? In other awesome news, Arc: Survival Evolved’s VR spinoff Arc Park has gained a trailer and it looks rather awesome.
I’m getting more and more tempted to get a Vive or Oculus everyday and after playing on my friend Crusoe’s PSVR I can barely stop thinking about it So immersive, so awesome. If you are a fan of Arc: Survival Evolved or have never heard of it, Crusoe has done a let’s Play series for it aswell as regular news updates whenever anything pokes it’s head up You can find a link to his channel in the description.
Psychological Horror game ‘The Town of Light’ has been anounced to be released on both Xbox One and Playstation 4 in Quarter 2 of 2017 with the new improved version being available on PC also. Game releases for the coming week include Gravity Rush 2 that was released today on the Playstation 4 This frankly beautiful looking anime style game follows Kat as she goes on an epic quest to defeat the evil that is rising in the amazing looking floating city of Hekseville With Dragon Quest 8 and Urban Empire also released today. Resident Evil 7: Biohazard is released on the 24th for PS4, Xbone and PC An awesome looking addition to the franchise where to play as Ethan Winters who is looking for his wife and ends up finding some cannibals along the way, That’s pretty much enough to sell me on it right there. Also on the 24th there’s Kingdom Hearts HD Final Chapter Prologue on the PS4, Motoracer 4 on the PS4 and Xbox One, Tales of Bersia on the PS4 and PC and the very interesting Yakuza O as a PS4 exclusive.
The 25th brings Memoranda to the PC while The Wardrobe hits PC’s on the 26th Well that’s it for This Week in Gaming If there’s anything I missed that you think I should have included, let me know in the comments.
