HEALER ARCHER GUIDE! Last update: 24/1/2008 (tip with the *NEW* mark) First of this is a “guide” in all sense of the word. I mean, you shouldn’t take this information like a rule, because this is just to guide the people in the way I did, mainly cause it worked great for me. Healer Archer Guide Introduction Healer Archer is a mix up between the heal ability and a good Solo/PvP class. If this is the role you expect from your healer you are in the right path. Pros Cons -All the above stated is relative. Just my thoughts. Stat Points The dexterity is the main stat point for the archer. DEX- increase attack, defense, accuracy, evasion. Stat Point Distribution (This is how I played it, you can change this distribution depending on your tastes and needs, but still a good guide for the beginners)
*Lvl 1 – Lvl 30* All on dex. It will give you all the benefits stated above. *Other path* Since Rapid Arrow is a useful skill for training (and pvp too), and you can get it at lvl 32, but at the cost of 12 int, you can add the 12 int as soon you change to archer. You still need to get the 17 con, so you will have some dex less. At lvl 38 you restat that int to dex so you can get slow arrow, that is better than rapid arrow. Of course you wont be able to use rapid arrow again still you get the 12 int back (But don’t worry, slow arrow will replace this skill very well). Rapid Arrow Build *NEW* Power Trio Build (Slow, Silence, Poison Arrow) Training Places Most important when training a healer archer is to get enough SP to have the righ skill updated. Lvl 1-7: Just kill elder wolfs and dire wolfs out there. Loot all. Lvl 7-15 Personal Dungeon 1. This will be a little hard at the beginning, but don’t worry, you will get used to it soon. Try get the armor that fits your lvl for better results. This is one of the best stages to farm SP and Money. Lvl 15-18: Elder Wolfs, Drakes. As I said, SP farm is the most important. It will be very bore kill these mobs, but don’t worry, it will pay off, I promise. Also start working on a horse. You probably had found a pan flute by this time, if don’t buy one, you really need it. *Note: My intentions on you killing white mobs its not just SP farm, you also need time with your pet to get stronger. More time you spend on your pet at sooner lvls, easier it will be later. Lvl 18-24: Velspist temple. Just left to say that you have to do your best to keep your armor and weapon updated. Don’t upgrade it yet, you don’t need it at this lvls. At this point you would like to upgrade your weapon lvl 25 at least to +3 if you have some spare cash. Lvl 24-28: Butchers: And keep the bore SP farming. You have to do your best to get at least a lvl 31 horse mount before you end this stage. I suggest a lvl 33, and a lvl 37 if is possible, but that’s really hard to do. You might also want to upgrade your armor lvl 30-32 at least to +3 if you have some spare cash. -Side tip- If at lvl 28 you dont have a horse lvl 31 to mount yet (and i bet you wont, i tried to do it and couldnt do it myself), here is what you can do: Stay on butchers or you can go prokion temple to kill orc sergeants still lvl 31. When you choose your Archer job you will have a HP boost, now get as much lvl 6 and lvl 12 magical defense mineral as you can, get the mana shield skill (magical def buff) lvl 4 or lvl 5, set your pet skill point on magical defense, get a lot of herbs to your pet, and go kill doom slayers at the swamp (located at the center east of the merac map, just avobe merac castle). Mainly i suggest this cause doom slayers give a nice exp (about 8k in solo party), and you wont need the horse def buff to kill them well, since they have magical att. You can stay there enough to get your pet to lvl 31, at the same time you keep lvling properly. Its a little expencive, way risky but a thriller at same time. For me kill this was more interesting than kill anything else. Lvl 28-34: Bandits, Blood Freanzies, Gnolls, Gnolls Lancers. The place you gonna train will depends on the horse mount, skill, weapon, armor and pet you have. I don’t suggest Blood Freanzies, they give almost same exp than a bandit, and are harder to kill, and over it they really hurt your pet cause they agro and no link. Make your armor lvl 35-37 at least +4. I rather buy the weapons upgraded already, but you might also upgrade it by yourself. Get your weapon lvl 37 to +6. Lvl 34-41: Finally the Highlanders. Good exp, decent drops, nice place to train (but most time taken already). My armor Lvl 40-42 I just made it +4, but you might go for +6 if you have money enough. I strongly suggest you to buy or make a lvl 41 weapon +8 or better. I suggest over 1200 def for the highlanders. Lvl 41-50: You can make all this on the larvas, or might go to jail 2nd floor and kill beast Scythe still lvl 44, and then go to larvas. Larvas need at least 1400 def for a decent train, while beast scythe like 900. Make your armor lvl 50-52 +6 at least. Your weapon lvl 45 and all other after this you should make it +10. Skill Since I don’t know know how much SP you gonna have at some specific time, i´ll name the skill and its effect in order of priority. It means you should get it in this order for better results. Of course this is relative and you might have another way that could work great for you. *CHANGED* Skill Description (Thanks to Firevampire) Shining Skill

Poison Arrow
Enchant Arrow To keep on mind about attack skills but take care, Poison has 20% more Power, but it uses 40% more mana than the others Silent arrow can also be used on the beast crawlers (lvl 4/5 merac temple), the DK and Baal and no doubt on the creatures that perform magic attacks in the forgotten temple in dratan to stops its magic attacks. So silent arrow is also useful outside of pvp Managing the SP Its almost impossible get enough SP to max the skills at the moment you turn the lvl needed, so a good strategy to make use of your SP is to take the skill just to lvl 4 at the beginning. A lvl 5 Skill need like the half of all SP you need for the whole skill, so instead you get a lvl 5 skill, you better get another skill to lvl 4. You will be missing 1 skill lvl in a skill, but you will get 4 lvls, on another one. For example: instead of get lvl 5 heal inmediatly, you get it to lvl 3 or 4 just, and get fast bow fixing too to lvl 4. You will have to usefull skills instead of 1. Later you can finish upgrading the skill. BTW: it is actually possible to get enough SP to max the skills at the moment you turn the lvl needed, I made 1300 skill points like that between lvl 32 and 38, and was able to max out Silence , Slow Arrow and Resurrection skill like that !!!! and even had some sp left for next skill Managing Money Money is one of the hardest theme for every class at the beginning. First of, don’t go asking to other ppl for free cash, it don’t just look bad, but it really annoy the ppl you ask, and give a bad image about you. As I suggested, loot everything. Sell all armor and weapons lvl 32 and below to npc. Lvl 33 and over sell it on vendor. Same rule to manuals. If you are a lucky guy and find a HS at the first 15 Lvls, sell it on vendor, but just 1, this way you will have a good money on your pocket, and the HS you wont use it for a while. All other HS you find, keep them. This is the most basic way to manage your money at the earliers lvls. Afterwards, when selling things on vendor, Make sure you put the right price. Don’t over price it cause is a waste of time, but don’t make it too cheap. Try estimate an average price for the item by checking other ppl vendors every day, and when going to vendor it, set the price for like 85-90% of the average price you estimated. For example if the lvl 37 weapon sells for 100k, and you wanna sell fast, put it on 85k. Also i just found a nice way to get the starter money, the treasure box event. As soon as you get lvl 10, go to loraine and open the box in the event section. If you are a lucky guy, as i was, you can get 30k coins, enough to buy your next armor set and 2 weapons. Most of the event boxes give cash, a descent amount of cash, so open them as soon you get the proper lvl. The treasure event box lvls are: 10, 14, 18, 22, 26, 30. Things you always should remember about your money and stuff. *Never, hear it again, NEVER, no matter who it is, don’t borrow your money or items, no matter if its your best friend, if you knew him through internet, don’t borrow anything, if he is your friend he will understand, if he says he wont be your friend cause you wont lend him money or items, let him go. If you lend something considered it as a gift from you. *Don’t fall in scams. If you trading with someone, and you notice something out of normal, like he cancel the trade many times, or anything, forget the deal and block the person. *Don’t accept underpriced deals. Many ppl try to get items underpriced just asking over and over for a better price. If you are sure the price you ask for something is the right, never down it. Just say no as many times the other guys ask you for a better price. I think that’s enough to get you started on the game as a healer archer. I hope you like the job and the game and don’t doubt ask me if have a question. Glossary Att =Attack Credits To (colored text means tips by them): thanks for the hints. I hope you dont mind i just copied and pasted your exact words, i had been to lazy lately Side Comment: There are like 6 months i dont play archer (now im on a mage). When i wrote this guide there wasnt egeha, i had never partied in demons with an archer. Methods have changed since i stopped playing, so this guide my be a little obsolet by now.
