////__Section 1__\\\\
The Basics -what demons are, and are for.

Basically a demon party is made up of level 30-55 players that wish to take out demons fast to gain lots of exp, or at least more exp then you typically get with Solo Farming. They can be very demanding, fast paced and even stressful, but I hope to make them easier with this guide.

Power Leveling Note : I cannot stress enough that Skill Points are much more important then levels, so please, if you do not have skill points for your next set of skills when you level, do NOT power level, this includes excessive demon parties.

To join a demon party simply look for them on the auto party system (G/Party Auto Matching/Parties recruiting members) or talk to people in town/friends list/ on forums asking for one.

To make one of your own you should remember to include someone with a Party Recall Ticket, as more people will be willing to go if they don’t have to dish out 800,000 gold themselves. Simple register a party name of "Want 2 Demon, Free Ride" in the party system (make a party of at least 2, then hit G/ Auto Matching/ Party Registration)

The idea is to keep a demon (level 82 btw) Snared or Stunned long enough to kill it, and perfect demon parties can do this without talking to one another, and never miss a cue to throw/stun so no one gets hurt. There are many combinations of skills to do this, but most will require a Royal Knight to use concentration on the player doing the stun, so it rarely-if ever- misses.

Stunners and snarers need to pay attention to the icons on the demon, and throw/stun accordingly to keep it ‘perma stunned’ this requires you to pay more attention then most players, and is a very important role in the demon party. Please, do not distract yourself with instant messaging programs, silly stories, or running around silly before the party is ready- this will likely get you- and your party – killed. Royal Knights need to pay attention to concentration as well, if a rogue loses ‘conc’ and tries to snare- it is likely to fail due to the level difference between the rogue and the demon. Same rules apply. Typically 1 person is "first snare/stun" and another is secondary, a third can be backup if one happens to fail. Rogues timing is 1 minute, a Knights is 1.5 minutes left, due to animation speeds – time may seem off due to "server lag" practice makes perfect.

////__Section 2__\\\\
Classes and skills – and gear

Rogues -
One of the highest in demand for demon parties, expecially players new to the demon party system. Snare level 5 is a must. Powerful weapons can be wonderful to help bring them down fast, but remember your DPS rate, if a snare or stun misses you will likely be the target. Other then Snare, high damaging skills are a plus, the faster you can bring it down, the more exp you can gain per hour. To keep things snared, a snare should be thrown when the previous snare or stun has "1 minute" remaining on its timer. The animation of the cast is a factor as snares go off.

Royal Knights-
Another high demand party member. Your concentration skill is a blessing to us all (except maybe highlanders… ) High + or powered weaponry is also a huge bonus as your attacks will hit much faster then say a Titan classes. You also have great defence, which means if you pull aggro- you should be able to take a hit or two before snares and stuns can be re-done. (with great timing this is not an issue) Please know that the word ‘conc’ means concentration skill, so you can guess what needs done if someone shouts "conc me!" Keeping stunned takes a little longer then snares- so when "1.5 minutes" remain on the timer- you should stun (if your in the stunning/snaring order)

Mage Classes-
I have only been in 2 demon parties with mages, you seem very rare for them, however Terra Spike is a wonderfully powerful spell, as well as stat poll and some others. Even just basic mage spells seem to have good effect on demons, I guess they can dish out magic attack, just not take it.

Sorcerer Classes-
The only Sorc I have been in parties with have been the elemental types, and although attacking seemingly slow it does appear to have a major influence on the damage done. I don’t really know that much on your class- so I cannot really say much – you are a wonderful mystery member to my demon parties.

Healers-
Heals are a great bonus in case a snare or stun fails, and your damage isn’t all that bad around 50th level either, I would recommend getting "Rez" maxed out for in case of party wipes- this way EXP loss is not so costly for members and they can shrug off a death or two.

Warmaster –
Be aware that your "smart" skill cancels out "shield stun" and this can cause lots of problems, please only "smart" when there is a Snare active on the demon- or if there is no stun at all. Best bet is to get your weapon highly + and help bash them down faster

Highlanders-
We highlanders have somewhat difficulties in demon parties, we do our best at 1/2 HP, however fighting demons at 1/2 is rather risky at lower levels. Also party heal cancels that out pretty quick. We also have no ‘stun’ skill to help keep them held in place, which means we are just big lugs attacking at a slower pace, however with a decent axe we can dish out quite a bit of damage, just no where near close to rogues with their high DPS rate. (this is cicumstantual, if a rogue has no + weapon and you have +15 obviously youll be dishing out more)

The best bet for anyone wanting to demon party is to buy a party recall ticket yourself, and advertise you’d like to start a demon party up, having a RC ready for everyone to take (you can always buy it and not "transfer it" right away so that the hours don’t tick away on you)

////__Section 3__\\\\
The well-oiled demon bootey kickin machines.

Fantastic demon parties have everyone working together, as a very well maintained group of individuals with 1 goal in mind: Kill as many demons as fast as they can to level up.

Great parties will have a RK conc without letting the timer run out, all snares and stuns will go off perfectly timed and not miss, and heavy hitters will help knock the demon down in under 1 minute. Snares should be re-thrown when the timer says "1 minute" left. Shield stuns need to be thrown a little SOONER due to the seeming delay in skill/use of animation for the Knights.

Heavy hitters can be anyone not capping the exp for anyone else, with very powerful weapons or skills. Ideally take the lowest level party member, add 15 to his or her level, that is the max level of a party member you can have (equal party) without capping exp for them.

Even better Demon Killers have FEWER party members, using time of day and rotation of members to make sure everyone gains the exp they want. Typically a party of 4 is used, however I have been in successful parties with as few as 2. (One super heavy hitter and me, almost being capped) Soloing defeats the purpose of this guide- and typically you’ll be level 70+ if you can do that anyway.

Fewer party members mean More exp per member, however, if you are much slower at taking them down, it’s not really worth it. If you can kill twice as fast with 5 party members then with 4, the numbers will be smaller, but your gain overall will be grearter. Think about the big picture, and how long you will be demon hunting, dont let 80k exp difference persuade you it’s not worth it, afterall 480k killing in 2 mins (4 man party) vs 400k killing in 1 minute (5 man party) , in 2 mins youll have 800k with the 5 man party, where as you’d only have 480k with the 4 man..

////__Section 4__\\\\
Practicality

It was mentioned above about time to kill vs. exp gained and this just goes into the common sense area, but some people refuse to believe it without hard numbers so that is where this section comes in. (these are basic figures and not all of them are identicle to real figures, however should be close enough to keep as ‘true’)

Example 1
6 man demon party kills a demon in 1 minute 30 seconds for 380,000 exp per kill
this makes it 4,223 exp Per Second in contenual fight (1 demon, then the next, non stop)

4 man demon party kills a demon in 3 minutes for 450,000 exp per kill
this makes it 2,500 exp per second in contenual fight (1 demon, then the next, non stop)

Obviously even though the 4 man party gets more ‘per kill’ they get less on a ‘per hour’ basis.

I will keep this spot open for editing so that I may include 100% ACTUAL times and exp rates.

////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////Section to be edited.

*REAL TIME*
5 man party, RK, TK, Ro, Ma, HL all 44-50th level ~42 seconds to kill
~ 488,000 EXP (per)

Honestly if your taking 5 minutes to kill a demon- you should go to bogles instead.

Item drops are seemingly non-existant in demon parties, but do exist. It is best to decide if people get their own class- regardless who picks up, or if it is just round robin for the group- this will be described later but 1 person should be assigned to pick up all gear so that the rotation stays the same, and ‘junk’ items should be left alone (or picked up by somone NOT in rotation- so the "picker upper" doesn’t break his/her rotation for junky items people may not want) Personally if I am the only titan in party, I would like any titan drops, and likewise if i gained something else, like a Healers armor, I would give it to the healer, but that is just me.

////Section 5__\\\\
What NOT to do.

This is plain and simple things of what not to do in Egeha in general, let alone demon parties.

Do not run around frantically- even if you are being attacked.

Do not provoke skin walkers

Do not think you can take the Grand Gold Dragon (even if you can keep it snared, the cursed weavers it spawns will EAT you)

Do not quit parties unexpectantly (any connection issues should be addressed before fighting, and let people know if your on a laggy machine or what not)
If someone does D/c don’t assume it was intentional- it may be ISP problem or computer crash, remember how laggy and buggy the game can be.

Do NOT and I stress this, NOT, talk in Instant messaging programs – your attention needs to be in game- if you cannot do this it will more then likely cause problems and party wipes, you may also be flagged as a "irresponcible" player and have harder times getting into parties. Even the in game chat can cause these distractions- so if you have a lot of friends- it is best to set yourself as "Offline"

Do not leach unless your party agrees you can. Sitting there soaking up exp is nice for you- but rude to everyone else

Do not Kill Steal unless given permission – sometimes it is better to have a "oddman out" to hit the demons for exp then in the actual party- so KS is an option still, but don’t just assume you can, even with a party that said you could before, that is rather rude.

Do not Heal (spell) while a demon is being lured to you- this will cause mass aggro and pull many things in the area.

Do not mess with your pets (summon and unsummon) unless you want to pull a Demons attention to you/your pet

Do not instantly buff up as soon as you take a Party RC- they may be in a dangerous place and you might pull aggro- even with Horse Buffs Take a moment to address the situation first- then buff if required.

Do not discriminate based on class types alone- every class is able to help in a demon party and being discriminating should be against in game law. Now, if they simply cannot do enough damage- that is a player by player basis- not a class problem.

////__Section 6__\\\\
Tips, tricks, notes and easter eggs

Pet luring can be wonderful- simply set up your pet on your hotkeys, then get semi- close to a demon- and summon your pet- if it worked the pet should be attacked by the demon- let it hit twice then walk it to safer areas to kill. (generally your party standing by to ambush it) your pet can take A LOT of damage from these- due to the fact pets only take a small set number (1 i believe) per hit from attacks, and they have 100 max hp. Bring lots of herbs and stones if you plan to do this.

Horsebuffs- goes without saying 10/10 are spectacular.

Templar teleportation.
this is a special skill of templar, and can be used like pet luring, but faster and somewhat safer. Basically a rogue will snare the demon from afar, then the templar will cast teleport and bring the demon exactly to the spot he stands, he should then move (and move pet) so everyone can target it easily and the killing can begin. If you target the demon BEFORE he teleports it- you will need to re-target as you will no longer have it selected. (and I love teleport soo much better then luring)

Please leave your drake mounts in your inventory or on an alt – they won’t do much here- except be a big thing on screen, and possibly cause others to lag out from their animation.

If you find yoruself lagging, change your view, set it up to stare at a mountain side or something. If you have FRAPS running you can see your FPS and work accordingly. Sometimes facing a "simple wall" actually hurts your frame rates more then looking at complex trees. If all else fails go to "birds eye view" zoom in all the way first, then rotate the view to look at the top of your head. then zoom out a little ways so you can see the battle.

Turning off Music/sound effects can help some in addition to turning graphical settings down.

Keep your eyes open (and screen clear) so you can see when Grand Gold Dragon arrives- AND DO NOT PANIC it will arrive at the last thing killed- so simply move away from that location. In 15 minutes it will RE-spawn at the last kill- until it is killed or hit. in the latter case, it will reset the timer back to 15 more minutes of ‘unattacked’ mode- if it is killed I believe it takes 2 hours to "rebirth" (my word :p )

Keep your eyes open for rude players wanting to lure SkinWalkers on you to kill your whole party- for whatever reason they have. They exist, and they are rude, but sadly it is tolerated as game rules go. Likewise if your on a pvp server- keep your eyes open for PVPers to take your lives/spot.

Not all red names are evil though- so don’t outright attack one or lure on one just because he/she has a red name.

Looting "Junk" is not really liked, when you could have had a 600k gold armor piece, and you get a 20k gold moonstone you get rather flustered, so make sure you don’t loot anything "not of value" without permission.
Having a dedicated looter for the "armor" "weapons" and "good" drops is recommended, even for Heaven Stones, and that is ALL they pick up.
Being a Sharing party is also great- if you were just going to sell it- and someone in your party could use it (eventually one day even) then work a deal out with them, maybe even give it to them free or trade for another part they have. Don’t let money and numbers bias your choices, greed kills the fun of the game.
