Dratan Castle Siege Guide

Important Note: A guild can only own one castle. This means if your guild owns Merac Castle, you cannot participate in Dratan Siege, and vice versa.

Section I: Registration

A. You must talk to the NPC outside the main outside gate (Steward Tot).

Note: Your guild must be level 6 or higher.

Attacking Guilds: The brave souls that have chosen to take on the defenders in a bid for Castle Glory.

Defenders: The defending guild of the castle, must be level 6 or higher guild

Mercenaries: Loyal to no guild these mercenaries can attack and kill both attackers and defenders.

Note: PK mode can be turned on during the siege, but players will not lose experience if killed by a PK mode player. YOU WILL LOSE EXPERIENCE IF YOU ARE KILLED BY SOMEONE WITH PK MODE BEFORE YOU ENTER THE TWO STATUES AT COORDINATES 223, 2349. Once past ththose statues you will not lose experience for pk mode.

Section II: Attacking

A. You must first destroy the Eye Of Barrier (only one outside first gate) to open the Outside Gate. Once the Eye Of Barrier is destroyed the Main Gate will open.

Note: The Main gate is controlled by a tower located not too far away. This tower must be destroyed in order to bring down the main gate.

B. Once inside there are two more gates on either side of the Pyramid, which also have Eye Of Barriers (on the left and right side of Pyramid). These must both be destroyed in order to approach the Crystal Of Sympathy.

C. The Crystal Of Sympathy is located atop the pyramid. Up to 5 attacking guild members can approach at once. You must click on the on the crystal and begin gaining sympathy. Gaining full sympathy takes 3 minutes. While gaining sympathy you cannot move, use skills or be damaged, otherwise you must begin over again. If you succeed in gaining full sympathy, you will now own the castle.

B. The castle siege lasts 2 hours, the castle will undoubtedly change hands several times, whomever is the last to get full sympathy before time expires will own the castle.

Section III: Defending

A. Before a battle the castle defenders have the advantage of setting up castle defenses. These defenses come in several forms.

Defense 1 (Towers)

A) Before the Castle Siege begins the guild master of the defending guild must speak with the master tower located outside of the first gate.

Master Tower Options

1) Setting Up towers: This option allows the defenders to set up towers.

Towers are used for attack, defense, and teleporting and come in 7 different varieties

Note: You have the option of creating more than 1 tower per category. Each extra tower cost gold.

Attacking towers:

Short-Distance: These towers attack enemies near the base of the tower. They are a good place for defending fighters to stand near while holding back those wishing to siege the castle

Long Range: These towers attack from afar and do less damage than the short distance towers.

Magic Attacking: These are short range towers that attack with magic. These do equal damage to their physical short-distance counterparts.

Defending Towers

Decrease Speed: These towers are medium range and decrease the enemies movement and attack speed.

Decrease Stats: These towers debuff the enemy lower their attack rating.

Poison: These towers do damage over time to enemies

Warp Towers: Warp towers decrease the resurrection time of fallen defenders and allow the defenders to easily move to different sections of the pyramid.

2) Upgrade Towers: This option gives you the ability to upgrade the attacking/defending/warp towers hit points. This also increases the strength of the towers ability.

Note: Upgrading towers cost gold

3) Repair Tower: This option repairs the master tower

Note: clicking on other towers as a defender will give you the option of repairing them.

4) Upgrade Gate: this option upgrades the durability of each gate, making it harder for attackers to bring them down.

Guardians

1) Guardians are NPC’s that can be purchased before the siege begins. They can be placed anywhere within the Pyramid area except for the top of the pyramid.

These guardians will attack anyone who comes within their range except for defenders.

There are two types of guardians

Sphinx Spear Men: Level 100

Sphinx Guardians: Level 100

Note: You may only have 10 of each kind of guardian.

Note Note: Defenders should know that if the Castle changes hands during the battle, all defenses are handed over to the new owners of the castle including towers and guardians.

Currently the winner of Castle Siege gains the bragging rights of the Castle itself. However in the future the Castle owner will actually be able to control a dungeon located within the pyramid. This content is under development and will be released soon. (Soon = within a month <fingers crossed>)

There are many intricacies to the Castle Siege that will only be found out during full scale guild warfare. We would love it if over time players developed their own guides to showcase the more advanced points of this castle Siege mode.
