This is a work in progress and will be updated as much as possible. TY

Everything in this guide are based on my veiws and research of the class/affinities. If anyone has any opinions I will gladly listen and we can compare any knowledge to better this guide as much as possible. As I’m am not Felkin or Fuwa, if any players of the two affinities would like to give their advice, it’s more then welcome. Once again I have looked into all of these affinities and any input from other players will be looked over and is more then welcome.

Non-Ascended
The below build is the build I would recommend for pvp. Its slightly different then the usual one that most non ascend Rayans follow. I’m not to fond on using Ultima and I also noticed that 30 seconds is more then enough time for Ultima to finish off a group of people provided you’re not busy trying to run away.

Some notable things:
The points in Empathy can be switched around to Shadowmeld to give you an instant cast invisible that gives you the shadow sacrifice effect as well. To me this is perfect when you have too many people on you at a time.
With the tomes i opted for the middle of Shadow vs the middle of Dance due to the 30%(40%) increase damage during Flash Reel as this build isn’t shadow reliant.
Now this next build is one my friend Kashi (Fuwa Rayan Barcode) gave me. Specializes in pure PvE/BG grinding so for those looking for purely PvE/BG lvling this would be an ideal one with a few points left over to put where ever.

Ascended
Now at this point, you’ve probably reached 150 (135-149 if you got lazy) and you’re now thinking of ascending. Hopefully this section will make your selection a little easier. Remember that no matter what anyone says pick what interest you and suits your playstyle. No affinity is better then the other. The player is what makes it good.

Dagos:
This is the affinity I currently am at the moment. Mixed with high skill evasion and spammable boosting skills that give two combo points instead of one on it’s affinity skills, Dagos Rayans have the most sustained dps and the highest skill evasion of the three affinities (Though 20 of the skill evasion gained from Ghost Pace II passive can be removed).
This build below is the build I use. There is no need for a Jaki either which is great as I don’t see Thunder Cut II useful at all.

Things to point out:
I opted for max Invisibility as a out of combat invisible since it last longer then the other two. Ghost Cut and Dragon Cut are left maxed due to them being needed for the secondary effects on Ghost Cut II and Dragon Cut II.

Fuwa:
This affinity I am starting to see more and more of lately. Becomming Fuwa grants you probably the best survivability next to Raja type skills through the use of Substitute ( Substitute II increases the dmg transfered to shadows). This however is ideally used with either normal Ultima, Chroma Ultima, or Ultima summoned from your opener II’s as a T1 and T3 shadow would easily be killed. Along with Hunt Raid II which removes speed buffs and puts BOTH Charge and Run speed buffs on cool down for 1 minute and Teeth Raid II which stuns based on the casters own res, Fuwa is really an amazing affinity especially when coupled with batteries.
The below build is the final build(You will have to Jaki) for a Fuwa Rayan provided by Kashi

Things to point out:
Work in progress….

Felkin:
This affinity is probably the most underestimated one of the three. With powerful finisher II’s, a chance fasting added to Ghost Veil, and Blood Poison II which turns Blood Poison into anyone who has high hp’s worst nightmare, Felkin Rayans are definitely the hardest hitting of the three affinities. Keep in mind Felkin is pure offense.
The below build is the final build ( Yes another one you need to Jaki for) for a Felkin Rayan.

Things to point out:
Since the Ultima duration is not really needed, Infernal Worm is for sure a skill you would want to have. Adding 15 seconds to the duration of 4 debuffs along with the prior tomes added more debuffs to already good skills, the right side of Shadow is definitely needed.

Charms
Bold charms are must haves or more so what I believe to be. Keep in mind alot of these are dual charms. You dont have to get them all but most are definitely needed.

Dagos
Ghost Wing- This charm is a must have. Lower CD on ghost pace to a total of 24 secs and 90% chance to remove a negative
Black Star- 100% chance to remove a negative.
Toxic Plume – Reduces targets hp by 15% of your max hp? (needs confirmation)
Ant’s Way- Extra 3 skill evasion for you skill evasion fans.
Hares Escape - 90% chance to remove negatives.
Eagle Speed – Need to confirm if this stacks with ghost pace. Great for if ghost pace got removed.
Crescent Moon – an extra 50 res doesnt hurt.
Snake Saliva- Using shadowmeld any skill that shares a CD will be up 20 seconds soon.
Blood Swallow-At 70k max hp this charm to me is better for Celestial slay then Deaths Fate. Your call.
Ghost Strength- 40% more dmg during flash reel
Deaths Fate- For any other finisher you have prior to 70k max hp, this charm is the best to have.

Fuwa
Ghost Wing
Black Star
Ant’s Way
Hares Escape
Eagle Speed-more speed since you lack the constant speed of dagos.
Heaven Heart-5 seconds less off the cooldown of Sub and empathy specifically.
Snake Saliva
Deaths Fate
Blood Swallow

Felkin
Blood Swallow
Deaths Fate
Ghost Strength
Scorpion Tail
Snake Saliva
Spider Saliva
Eagle Speed- same as Fuwa.
Hares Escape
Black Star

Gonna update this to include all factions and affinity as I encounter them.

PVP and You
As everyones playstyle is different and you should learn what works for you through practice I will only give tips I see useful as every player plays differently then another therefore telling you what to do would be pointless if your opponent doesnt follow a set pattern.

In general, usually the same tactic can work for all classes such as oh snap I’m out numbered and someone is AOE’ing. The normal geared player can just pop Ultima -> Five Elements -> run through the aoe-> stand somewhere safe and watch as people try to kill Ultima(which is quite amusing sometimes. Situations where you’re out numbered and theres alot of AOE’ing going on(Mainly Fort/TW) I see Fuwa as being more the type for mass pvp as their survival isn’t dependant on a broken stat. I mean sure too many people hitting a Fuwa Rayan with sub 2 up is potentially a bad thing but Ultimas ability to literally crowd control would change alot of things. Most 1v1′s no matter what affinity should be mostly in your favour provided you’re not fighting someone that outclasses you in affinity, gear, or skill(I’ve seen people with pretty bad gear do good and not be Rayans.) To me the classes that will give you the most trouble are Fuwa Vims, Lupins, Modos, Ardens, Balos, and other Rayans. Some people could argue with me but the other classes and/or affinities dont seem that difficult unless they out gear or have better affinity.

Ardens
Ardens if you’re invis are for the most part easy provided you’re not stupid and go stand under a plant while invis. For most Ardens it’s a matter of blink move -> celestial slay from out of range of the plant. Equal geared/affinity ardens should usually die if it crits. If that fails its a matter of not letting them get to far away from you or going into flash reel to prevent getting one shot. At the current time I sit on 49k hp with shadow out in full honor gem gear and I have been 1 shot by non asc ardens with elo+CD so if you’re dagos you cant rely on skill evasion to save you.And yea I’m not embarrassed by dying to a non asc arden lol. Fuwa rayans can pretty much open with teeth raid 2 or hunt raid two which locks charge and run speed buffs and let ultima go to work. Felkin Rayans are actually in the same boat as a Dagos Rayan minus the speed buff and skill evasion though I’m sure a non charged bloody chop 2 would be a for sure 1 shot.

Modos
Modos can be very tricky at times to fight especially when up against a good Dagos Modo. To me this is another class where Fuwa Rayans have a better chance at. Most Felkin Modos it’s just a matter of playing Chaser kinda like ardens except you die a slow painful death if you slip up. You’d definitely want to focus on removing fasting and seeker as soon as possible. Most Fuwa Modos should just be treated as Felkin Modos cause you’ll be playing Chaser with them too though FOL2 hurts alot.. from some Fuwa modos xD. Dagos modos would be the harder of the 3 in my opinion because of the constant barrage of damage incoming and the random burst crits/crit bonus from Kangba. Added with the stun and sp burn can be really deadly. I’d say even a Fuwa Rayan would have some degree of trouble here. If the element of surprise is in your favour then you should be fine regardless of affinity. But unless you’re decked in skill evasion, I’d recommend playing it safe and kiting when it looks bad. I will say though blood poison on a Dagos modo thats not paying attention is pretty amusing though and should be put on them at all times especially if you’re Felkin or have high hp.

Balos
I dont have much experience with balos nor have I seen many videos vs balos or heard anything other then that the good ones are hard to kill. I’ve fought maybe two or three balos seriously and one of them I couldnt do anything to. Some input on this class would be really useful.

Fuwa Vims
I didnt say all vims because they dont all get the same Crit Shield. Being a full tank and us as Rayans relying on crit bonus to do our work, a Fuwa Vim is probably the hardest to take down. Blood poison is a must. If you’re Felkin you should have all the debuff tomes so this could potentially be an easy fight provided GS doesnt land/crit. I feel that if the Vim can outlast all of you’re skills and cooldowns you’re pretty much screwed. Kite Raja, use a skill like tremble to get your shadow in to see if it’s up or not. Remember the array skill acc decrease and ghost veil dont stack. Turn your array on after ghost veil is applied as it doesnt overwrite. Blood Poison and pray GS does not land.

Lupins
Reason why I didnt specify affinity here is because Felkin Lupins have high skill acc, Fuwa Lupins have high skill evasion, Dagos Lupins have high and I mean high burst damage, they all have high hp, and they all have standstill which is worse if they were Lupins pre asc. This is another hard match up. Relying on skill evasion isnt really a good thing but vs Lupins its almost as bad as ardens and since its not a shotgun class like vims you wont have a huge cooldown grace period where you might be guaranteed to be safe. If possible try to keep ghost veil up. If flash reel is up take advantage of hunt raids 100% chance to remove 2 positive buffs to debuff them. Be careful not to spam skills in this period as you can and might be killed during this time. Time you’re shadow summons well. This takes practice but if done right summoning a shadow before a skill lands can make them waste a cooldown and leave you alive for a bit. This also works if you get hit by RD2 but it doesnt kill you, you can summon your shadow and the rest of the dmg is neglected. Kite Raja, PR, and when they are on AP but not potting up(This means standstill is coming). Oh and Felkins, Blood Poison + Blood Poison 2 + Ancient prayer = Dead Lupin if they’re not paying attention.

Other Rayans
This match up. I despise this match up and try to avoid fighting other Rayans if I can. They’re either insanely stacked with gear/affinity or they suck and are very annoying(You white named ultima summoners this is refering to you) Cant really say for sure how this match up would work but I do believe that Fuwa > Dagos >Felkin >Fuwa. Im basing this on a equal playing field keep this in mind. Fuwa would have sub 2 + ultima which would mean Skill Evasion while good when hit would be devastaing with Ultima.. Not to mention if hunt raid 2 lands. 1 minute CD instantly on your speed buff and you’re as good as dead. Dagos would have skill evasion which could go both way for a Felkin Rayan but if Bloody Chop 2 or any of the other finishers fail to land you could be eating dirt pretty quickly as Dagos gets off fully buffed finishers the fastest. Felkin with high white damage could outright kill a Fuwa Rayan on sub, though Felkin being pure attack could potentially become Ultima chow provided they dont get the jump off.
