One of the coolest new features of Jade Dynasty’s Expansion is the new Pet Capture system. This system is a veritable game within a game as all aspiring Pet ‘Hunters’ soon discover as they search the entirety of the world for these rare and elusive critters!

Because this feature is so new we thought we’d start by explaining the basics you need to know to get you started on your hunts.

There are 2 requirements in capturing pets:

1. You must be a minimum of Level 60
2. You must purchase a Hunting Net

To purchase a Hunting Net:

1. Visit Pet Tamer Totto in Sunstream City and select the "Pet Food and Supplies" option
2. click on the ‘Pet’ tab at the top of the menu window
3. Purchase a Hunting Net (5g) – be careful if right-click purchasing as they stack in lots of 999!

Now that you have a Hunting Net its up to you to find and capture your prey. Remember, only certain in-game mobs are available to be captured as pets (they will have a tag labeling them as ‘Capturable’).

To start you off, here’s a hint as to where you are likely to find one of the easier to capture in-game pets :

Some additional Pet Tips:

1. Capturable mobs have to be below 50% health in order to capture them with a net
2. Until you build up your Proficiency in Capturing, it is highly likely you will need more than 1 Hunting Net to capture your prey. Be sure to purchase extra Nets so that you don’t run out of them, forcing you to return to Pet Tamer Totto!
3. To start Capturing pets you will need to acquire a skill called, "Capture." If you are over Level 60 you can acquire capture by hitting ‘R’ on your keyboard (skill tree menu); Clicking the ‘Others’ button; Select the ‘Life’ tab and then right click the ‘Capture’ skill button.

Good luck to all! If you’re over L60 be sure to give it a try. It doesn’t cost a lot of in-game coin to participate and in return you could capture some of the coolest in-game pets currently available!
