How Do I Connect My iPhone to My PS4?
How do I connect my iPhone to my PS4? Did you get the PlayStation companion app off the App Store? The first thing you need to do is make sure the PS4 and phone are on the same WiFi network. If they are not, I have a different problem. On the PS4, go to settings, PS app connection setting and then add a device. You’ll get a code on the screen and need to locate the PlayStation app on your phone. I think that’s the validation code.
Select the connect to PS4 option on the app. So there is an app for that. No, you use the app for that. Once you click on the app, you’ll be asked to add the validation code that’s showing on the TV in the field on the phone. Then what? Then the PS4 and phone’s app will be paired. They are connected, not dating. What if my phone is using Bluetooth instead of WiFi, how do I connect them? If you select devices, Bluetooth devices, the PS4 will automatically search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Anything you’ve already registered will appear in the list. I know that will show my headset, motion controller and so forth – but what about my phone? It’ll show a phone if the phone is already paired with it.
If it is lighted up, then you’ll know that it is connected. My phone is not connected via Bluetooth, and I do not think it is registered. So pick the Bluetooth device you want to connect and enter the pass key to register it. I know this seems like a stupid question, but you only said phone. I have an iPhone. This process works whether you have an Android or iPhone. You did not say anything about a Blackberry or Windows phone. Who has a Windows phone except a poor Microsoft employee? And as for a Blackberry, most people do not have the privilege of running gaming stuff on a work device, and I cannot imagine any other reason to have one. I’ve heard the Bluetooth connection process does not always work. Some devices need to be connected via a cable to register the first time, especially Bluetooth devices.
That’s pretty much the opposite of the intent of Bluetooth. And remember that if you have too much wireless traffic in and around the PS4, your registration process may not work because you have a bad connection. That’s easy – banish everyone else from the room because I’m in most dire need of the bandwidth.
