    Str sage - question

Aight, imagine a very low cash spending someone on a 3str1vit dekan (5str 1 vit) Sage. About lvl 59.

Dmg I deal isn't all that super great but I also don't have any rings on yet. Tho, assuming with 4* 15's it should get somewhere, not?
Now my actual problem is, how do you dekans survive. Crit imune, impenetrable, blue defense and all that brings the dmg i receive from mobs to a decent low amount BUT

    ..

..I still get hit for 170's up to 3-500's Elemental dmg's. Is there any way to bring down that Elemental dmg without unequiping the 15's? Cause, without that elemental I would be actually able to solo grind (or to grind at all) instead of having to heal every 2 hits and ending up dead after 10.

    Depends on your server.

Any pdef buff will bring down elemental damage. A strong MB should be plenty.

Same goes for Armor defense options (which is why I like them so much on Half Elves). With a str sage you could easily make a grinding weapon with leech and armor defense. If you have NO accessories then that also explains a lot.

Ah ok, I was just kind of afraid that accessory's (str/dex/vit) wouldn't be of any help as they don't boost resistances (like int does). So, impenetrable would actually help bringing down that elemental damage then? I do plan using AD option (full AD even, considering lvl 7 evolve gives a constant hp leech - i got it lvl 3(3%)), it's just pretty hard finding the melee % zhens AND succeeding. I've made a 20% AD cyra sadique but unfortunately it doesn't have any melee on it so i'm currently better off with

11str / 8% melee / 3%mp / 10% hp / 36% DD cyra, until i get my hands on an Xavier (/Fatima). Alas, not many people forge their melee zhens with AD.

Thanks for the quick answer, I was already afraid i'd need to equip resistance % rings/goggles/earrings and nerf my melee even more.

Elemental attack damage is derived from the damage dealt, so increasing one's physical defense (or magic defense if a magic mob) will decrease the base damage they deal, which in turn reduces elemental damage taken. That's why AD is so beneficial; you take more damage outside elemental damage in PvE, but it becomes better than DD because of the elemental damage reduction.
