Introduction – (S1)

As a Magician you will be able to cast high damaging spells from a distance. As you progress in level you will learn more powerful spells. However, Magicians tend to have a lower defence rate than most other classes and casting spells is slow.

Magicians use two different types of weapons, the staff or the wand. The staff is a two handed weapon which will make your spells more powerful than if you cast using a wand. The wand is a one handed weapon; your damage will be slightly less than if you were to use a staff, however, you are able to equip a shield together with your wand, boosting your defence rate.

Magician Builds – (S2)

As you lvl up you will receive two points to distribute amoung your attributes: STR (strength), STA (stamina), DEX (dexterity) and INT (Intelligence). If you are going Magician it is advisable that you do not put any points into STR or DEX. The two attributes that you will need to focus on as a Magician is STA and INT.

So, how much STA and how much INT should you have? Well I reccomend that once you become a Magician, you also know what you want to become at level 60. Either a Psykeeper or an Elementor. What you want to become at level 60 will ultimately determine your build.

I will also say that there is no ‘perfect’ or ‘best’ build. Every build has their advantages and disadvantages, so no need to follow someone elses build or do what someone else thinks.

I highly reccomend that you research what you are going to become at level 60. Put some research into Elementors or Psykeepers, learn the different builds for each and figure out what will work best for you.

If you make a mistake with your build you can always buy a restat, which will allow you to re-distribute your points. They cost about $20 from the cash shop or what is likely to be some hugely over inflated price in game. There is no skill or stat reset when you complete your second job change quest.

So, put some research into your desired class, figuer out what type of build you want for your second class job, and start placing the appropriate points into each attribute.

Magician Quest – (S3)

So, you’ve finally made it to lvl 15? Well follow these steps to become a magician.

Firstly you need to talk to [Magician Drillmaster] Wingyei, who is located in North Saintmorning.
To get to Saintmorning you will need to Trade with [Magic] Marche who is located in East flaris. Double click on the Saintmorning Blinkwing to teleport to Saintmorning. You must purchase a Saintmorning Blinkwing. While you are buying this, I suggest you purchase 1 Flaris Blinkwing and 2 Saintmorning Blinkwings, for later on in the quest.

And so starts your first Mission of this quest. She will tell you that you have 7 minutes to kill 15 Captain Aibatts and 10 Small Burudengs. However, you are only required to kill the Captain Aibatts, so do not worry about the Burudengs. So use the Flaris blinkwing, which you (hopefully) purchased earlier and go north of Flaris town and kill the required monsters.

Once they are dead, blink to Saintmorning and talk to [Magician Drillmaster] Wingyei. Now you will begin the second part of your quest. So [Magician Drillmaster] Wingyei will tell you that you need to collect:

10 Twinklestones from all types of Aibatts.

You are told to collect twinklestones, chumpims and slain, however, you are only required to collect the twinklestones. This can be the most tedious part of the quest as twinklestones do not drop from aibatts frequently for you at this level. However, despite the difficulty you may face, I encourage you to keep at it, they will all eventually drop for you. Once you have collected the required Monster Drops take them to [Magician Master] Hee.

You will now be required to find:

1 Book of Technique.

The book of Technique will randomly spawn on three islands at the River Weeping.

Once you have collected the Book of Technique you will need to take it to [High-Dwarpet] Hastan.

After talking to [High-Dwarpet] Hastan you will now need to kill the level 15 Un-elemented Monster Seido, who has 2578 Health Points and is located by the Great Tree in the South East of Saintmorning town.

Once you have killed Seido go talk to [Magician Instructor]Lopaze, who is next to [Magician Drillmaster] Wingyei.

Once you have talked with [Magician Instructor] Lopaze you have now finished the quest. You are now a Magician! Congratulations! ^_^

Elements – (S4)

In Flyff there a total of 5 Elements:

Fire

Wind

Earth

Electric

Water

Certain Elements are stronger against some elements, however, will be weaker against other elements.

Basically:
Fire is strong against Wind
Wind is strong against Earth
Earth is strong against Electric
Electric is strong against Water
Water is strong against Fire

Therefore:
Fire is weak against Water
Wind is weak against Fire
Earth is weak against Wind
Electric is weak against Earth
Water is weak against Electric

This forms a basic cycle:

As such it is advisable that you use the stronger element when fighting a monster and avoid using the weaker element.
