ELEMENTORS

Well, I was reading another thread that pretty much said that Elementors are USELESS. I have a LVL 105 Elementor on the server Aibatt and I must show you why Elementors are not useless, in fact we are the opposite of useless, we are USEFUL (clever!).

I’ll start saying HOW to grind as an elementor first. From Lv. 60;

Your build should be or FULL STA or 30-50 INT and the rest in STA. Use one of those builds, actually if you want to have more INT you can, but you will need upgraded armors ++5 or a good RM.

- Someone pointed that this is mostly my experience from Lv. 60 to where I am now as an Elementor, it’s not a lie. If you’d like to read this guide it will give you an idea of how to grind with your elementor.

Part 1 – From Lv. 60 to Lv. 90.

GRINDING

"It is fun to grind as an elementor, you will die a lot, you will "fly" a lot and you will be very pissed."

Okay, at Lv. 60 you get five new skills, none of them have cooldown and they are of five different elements. Just keep grinding like you used to as a mage, now with your new skills, until Lv. 65 when you get your AOES. At Lv. 65 you will get five more skills, and those skills are the AOES. You can pull like 10 monsters and the skill will deal damage to those 10 monster, that’s how AOES works. But will notice that two of those skills have five seconds cooldown, that means when you use it you can’t use again for five seconds. Those skills are Poison Cloud (water element) and Burning Field (fire element). What I did at that point was, everytime I see a wind or fire element monster I try to skip them.

First thing you do now is AOE cranes, use Windfield (wind element) skill on Small/Captain Crane and Earthquake (earth element) skill on Regular Cranes cause they are electric. Do that until Lv. 68 or 69 and you have both skills almost mastered, if not it’s not a problem.

Note: your damage shouldn’t be too low, you will kill cranes easily.

Now, the next monsters are Syliacas, they are water elemented so you need to use your electric AOE, the same goes for Greemongs, since they are also water when you get to Lv. 73 or 74 you will have Electric Shock mastered. (Don’t forget to take one or two days to master your masteries; Wind/Electric/Earth)

Note: note that all monsters starting from syliacas get stronger and stronger, in order to AOE you WILL NEED A HEALER. If you attempt to grind without a healer you will see HOW SUCKY YOUR ELEMENTORS IS. We are useless without healers, remember this.

Then comes Carrierbombs, they are electric so use Earthquake. Keep killing Carrierbombs until you reach Lv. 75, then jump to Mushpoies. They are water elemented so use Electric shock. Keep killing Mushpoies, always with a healer, until Lv. 78, then kill Watangkas until Lv. 80 or 81. Then go for Antiquerys or Mines.

Now, what to do? Well, now you got this far and it is time for the fun. There are TWO things you can do once you reach Lv. 80-81 OR Lv. 85 you can: buy a restat and restat to high int build, which is 40-50 STA and the rest in INT, or you can stay with high STA build and go into the Dekanes Dungeon. I’ll give you my opinion on both options.

Choice one: Restating to High INT – once you restat to High INT you will notice a big difference in your damage (obvious). But what can I do now? I don’t have enough STA to tank mobs, even with a Ringmaster! DON’T WORRY KID! I have a solution. So, assuming you are Lv. 80 with High INT build, what you can do IS go kill Antiquery. There are kazillions of trees to kill over there and they are all near each other, but you can’t tank them, so what you will do is pull a few of them, like 5, then use your mastered Windfield skill on them, since they are stone (wind>stone) they will take the element damage, that with your High INT build should be great. Your windfield skill has this power of slowing the movement speed of your enemies, so while you are killing those 5 Antiquerys your AOE will be hitting more and more trees nearby those that you were killing, and once they are all slow, you can just run and then hit, run, hit, run, hit until they die. Then pull some more and do the same. Or you can pull like 10 trees and make them all slow, then run, hit, run, hit, until they die. Note that if you don’t kill them fast enough they will run away, to make they not run away let them hit you once in a while, but with your great damage you won’t take long to kill those trees. Go with this to Lv. 85. Then go into the mines, even with low STA you will be able to tank some mobs and get good exp, do this until Lv. 90.

Choice two: Stay with your High STA build and go into mines from Lv. 80 to Lv. 90. Have fun and find out how to grind properly inside the dungeon.

Note: remember, never grind without a ringmaster.

HUNTING

"From the ground comes an elementor, being ressurected by his ringmaster and being KSed by another player!"

At Lv. 60 you should master your skills by giant hunting, you can do it alone and it isn’t hard at all, just have enough food and you get rich quickly. (Nuttywheel, Elderguard, Spider, Crane, those giants have good drops and you can hunt them alone if you are about the same LVL with them)

After the Giant Syliaca it just gets harder and you will need a ringmaster to heal you. Carrierbomb drops good, but his element is fire, so use Electric Shock or Earthquake to kill it.

Hoppre, Mushpoie and Watangka do not drop good in my opinion, but with the patches I don’t know how are their drops now, so just use the right element on your staff and suit and you should do fine with a ringmaster healing you.

Note: always have elemented stuff, don’t forget.

PVPING

"OMFG, 2 MIN WINDFIELD!1!!! HOE@#@!!!"

Yeah, this is the best part of the game as an elementor. KILLING PEOPLE >D

High STA build you can take some hits, but you will die eventually… If you are high STA and have a healer while people hit you, it’s hard to take you down and you will be dealing like 2.000 or so damage to people so you can kill them faster than they kill you. ALWAYS use your windfield skill to kill people, it makes them a lot slower when it’s mastered and it is really laggy/annoying.

If you are High INT you will kill them faster than they will even touch you and if they get near you, just run, they will be really slow. Don’t try to tank hits cause you will die really fast.

Make a combo with the Lv. 30 fire skill + Windfield, the fire skill reduces on 20% the resistance of your opponent, so your windfield will be dealing 20% more damage, also you can use link attack that gives more 20% damage, total you have 40% damage more on your windfield plus the elemented staff and your masterie that gives 15% damage, WOW. I never thought I was getting +55% damage on my hits, that’s awesome, AND IF YOU HAVE PIERCED SUIT YOU GET MORE 16% DAMAGE WITH 4 THUNDER CARDS, asdksafdsjfdsjkfdsj! That’s 70% more damage, THAT’S CRAZY LOL. Talking in numbers the most damage I can deal to someone that is at my LVL is 6k+ with all this combo I just wrote, that’s 6k (6.000) each hit, my action slot has 5 slots so a full combo does 30k damage, if I don’t die first. High INT + this combo you will kill almost everyone in two hits, except knights. (on people that are near your LVL)

Note: never forget to use your masterie before entering arena(s).

Part 2 – From Lv. 90 to Lv. 105.

GRINDING

"Have blessings?"

Now, if you didn’t restat to High INT you have to do it NOW, well, maybe you don’t have to, I’ve seen many High STA elementors go with that build to Lv. 98 or so. It’s up to you.

What comes in game now is your gear, I restated to High INT at Lv. 90 cause my rings give me +40 INT, so I just put 40 on STA, that makes me have a total of 55 STA and the rest in INT, so it’s like if I am full INT, but I still have some STA. Cause of that my damage goes crazy.

So, if you have PLUGS +4, Penzerus, +8-+10 SETS, or any of those you can go high INT and don’t worry much cause you won’t die easily. Now if you don’t have good gears and if you LAG a lot don’t go high INT, just stay high STA. I made a mistake and I chose High INT build, but I didn’t have good gears and I lagged a lot, the result is ME = DEAD. I think I used over 100 Blessings from Lv. 90 to 95, I don’t know if that’s much, but for an elementor that can’t hunt at all spending money like that is not good.

At Lv. 90 kill Shuhammas, just kill them until you can kill Kerns. I don’t like Kerns, they hit hard, they are scary, they are FIRE and they killed me a lot. If you can avoid them, do it, just keep killing Shuhammas until you get Lv. 98 then kill Glaphans until you get to Lv. 105, use Windfield to kill Glaphans, you can also do the hit and run tactic here, it is pretty useful for the High INT people to tank like 15 Glaphans and don’t die. <D

After you get to Lv. 105 you are done, if you want to continue you don’t need to read a guide anymore cause you will know what to do.

HUNTING

"Have penyas?"

I don’t have anything to say about this. Hunting as an elementor after Lv. 90 sucks. No matter what your build is, High STA or High INT you will hunt slowly or you will die. It is possible, but if it doesn’t take a lot of time (High STA) you will die a lot (High INT). I suggest you have a nice guild that can lend you some penyas so you can buy pills cause it’s gonna be hard. (That’s what happened to me at least T_T)

PVPING

"Have killed many people lately? YEA, MWAHAHAHAHAHA1!!1!! lololol"

Dude, like I said on the other PVPING stuff, as High INT elementor, you will just kill everyone easily.

First of all, make sure you have at least a +5 Wind Staff and a +16% Pierced Suit with Attack rate. If you have that you can start to PVP. Now, your High INT, you die fast, that’s why you have a mastered blinkpool! (I don’t know if Blinkpool works on that saturday war cause I hardly go there cause of my lag, the times I went in I didn’t try windfield.) Anyways, get 3 Pieces of the Lv. 75 Set, (hat, gloves and boots) it gives you -20% on cast rate, and mix it with the +16% attack rate suit.

Assuming that you PVP on S4 arena, your action slot should be: Fire Strike – Windfield – Windfield – Windfield – Windfield! The last one is optional cause the +20% that the Fire Strike damage gives won’t work on the 4th Windfield hit. I say with only 3 Windfields you will be able to kill almost everyone in this game that’s near your LVL. If you have a party with Link Attack and you can use it while PVPing it just helps, more 20% damage. Don’t forget your masterie. Now, assuming that you are on the saturday Guild War, just get one Upcut Stone and one Activation Scroll and use Windfield on the spawns until someone kills you. My overall damage is 3.5k (3.500), and no one likes 5 times 3.5k on their heads. Remember that on the Saturday GW your AOE is actully an AOE and it hits everyone near it, so 3.5k on the #1 spawn for example, and there are three people there, you will kill the 3 people there if they don’t have much STA. O:

(Damage done to a LVL 105 Billposter and damage taken from a LVL 105 Psykeeper as High INT build) That’s it for now;

Part 3 – Disadvantages and Advantages.

Every class has PROS and CONS, sadly, Elementors have more CONS than PROS, but that’s not a problem.

Disadvantages:

Can’t hunt well.
Depending on the build dies too fast.
While grinding hardly avoids or blocks hits.
Lower defence makes harder to grind.
Dies too much while grinding if the player doesn’t pay attention.
Players give up too fast cause they don’t see a good use for the class.
You will be poor.
You won’t be rich.
Can’t solo.

Advantages:

Extremelly good damage while PVPing with proper build.
Good damage to monsters – my normal damage without elemental weakness is 7k, with it goes to 8k+.
Master of AOES, really helpful in Guild Wars. Windfield in GWs is just TEH PWNZOR, I can’t wait till I get a new computer and be able to kill everyone in the Saturday GW. T.T
With a healer becomes a harder player to beat than other classes become with healers, as in, Elementor+Healer > Knight+Healer and so on. This might not make sense, but while playing I’ve seen how helpful a Ringmaster is for an Elementor.
Have good looking suits like:

That’s it, I just made this to say WE ARE NOT USELESS, we do pretty good actually. It’s just hard to see High LVLed Elementors cause most give up at Lv. 90 or Lv. 80.

BUILDS

I’m adding some builds and some notes on how they work.

AOE Builds

STA Based Build:

50-30 INT and rest STA. This build is the one works good up to Lv. 85 or 90, maybe even more. You can take hits from many monsters, your AOE damage isn’t that bad and it won’t take you long to LVL if you have a good RM. I recommend this build for everyone cause this is the one with most success so far.

Full STA Build:

15 INT and all STA. I never tried it, but it seems to work also. Your damage will be a bit lower, but nothing that will drastically change your grinding speed. This is recommended for people that lag while grinding: AOE + lag doesn’t work, but if you have this much STA you have a better chance of not dying cause of lag spikes. Also this build is good for PVP, you will be doing around 2K damage, which is pretty low, but you will be able to survive many hits.

INT Based Build:

30-50 STA and rest INT. I would say this build is for experienced players. The chances of dying while grinding with low STA are bigger and you need a good healer and good food. It’s a good build after Lv. 90 while AOEing becomes slower and you need better damage. Never seen Lv. 65ish elementors with this build, it might work just gotta becareful and maybe take less mobs at a time. With this build you can also use the Windfield strategy, use windfield to make the mobs slower and then run, then hit, then run.. The mobs will not touch you and you will kill them before they get bored of you and try to run away.

Full INT AOE Build:

15 STA and all INT. This is complicated. Mostly used by high LVL players in order to AOE faster. Get one RM and do this: mob up to 2-4 monsters and ask your RM to HC them, your high damage plus HC will kill the monsters really fast, you will just need a lot of pills and candies so you can survive their hits without your healers heal. Get very high defense suits to do this or it will be useless and you will be forced to be a 1v1 Elementor. This can be used at any LVL, just need to becareful so you don’t die.

1:1 Build:

Half STA and Half INT. I really don’t know anything about this build. !! I think it doesn’t work as good as 40 STA or 40 INT builds cause we are not strong. You need to focus on something in order to LVL fast, with this build you can mob OK, but not as many monsters as a STA build, and your damage is OK, but not as good as a INT build, so it’s like a waste of points. IMO. D:

1v1 Builds

Full INT 1v1 Build:

15 STA and all INT. This works the same way as the Full INT AOE Build, but if you’re not able to tank the monster you just kill one at a time. In some hits the mob should be dead, I haven’t tried it, but probably faster than some other classes 1v1 builds.

IMPORTANT: remember that you can choose whatever build you want, as long as it is INT/STA. Those builds are just to give you an idea on how things work and what to do if you want to do more damage or tank more.
