I decided to make this guide because I’ve been alot of different builds with assists. So this is just something if your lost for stats and stuff.

Dex BP

Ok, now a DEX build is one that caps INT STA and STR. Not a billposter who CAPS dex and continues with STA and STR. Nu-uh.

Anyways, DEX billposters are great for 1v1ing. They are even better in higher levels. You would think AoEing is better but we don’t get an AoE till level 70, and before then burstcrack is a crappy AoE. It SUCKS.

Not only does it suck, you have to fight spawns with AoEing knights, eles, psys and blades. (Not psys and blades as much, but still!) But burstcrack is so weak that others can KS you more when you try to AoE becuase you don’t kill your group of mobs fast enough.

Now DEX is much faster, not only can you kill mobs quickly but with stonehand you constantly stun them. You dodge alot, and crit alot.

As for AoEing, it isn’t exactly the way to go. There are many problems with it because after cranes, monsters have a ton of attack power, and HP.

Now before he goes on saying how would I know, I used to be a AoE build. I also had a RM with me most the time so don’t even go on how your buffs make it faster. It’s horriblely slow and makes you want to groudge your eye’s out.

Anyways builds.

1v1 DEX
STR: 50-60(max beefup)
STA: 40-45 (good with max heapup, you should level it)
Dex: xxx (Always add dex, max cannonball)
INT: 15

This build is a dex build. Cap your STA and STR and go pure dex. Don’t look for speedbreaks, a dex build wants to dodge and crit alot. Not just speed.

STR 1v1 BP

This is much diffrent then the DEX 1v1, this one you cap DEX.

This is a very odd build, for one you look for the speedbreaks… But you also cap it so you have the speed. It’s a good build when balenced right. But it can be hell if your not careful.

STR 1v1 build
STR: xxx
STA: 30-45 (Once agian max heapup)
DEX: 45-60ish. (master Cannonball and acc. If you want to look for speedbreaks, you can. Just that I am not posting them in this topic.)
INT: 15

Remember to cap dex then go pure STR the rest of the way.

STA/Common AoE build

AoE is one of the most common builds, at first it’s great. Going to the dungeon in flaris AoEing till you reach drillers and volts. The exp is great! You feel on top of the world!

You hit cranes, not only are these hunted down like rabbits, but other classes get AoE around that area… But you continue to AoE, people KS you often. People hord all the mobs. Now you know how the other classes felt. Not having enough mobs for yourself. But now they know how you felt.

They get KSed and call the KSers noobs, meanwhile you seen those people call you or other AoE assist noobs before they got an AoE, so why can they do that? They were jelious of your AoE, now they pity it. Punching the ground may have helped you to level 60-62ish… But after that, good luck if you want to continue to AoE.

AoE build.
STR: 40
STA: xxx (Master heaup, mroe hp and FP always helps)
DEX: 15
INT: 15

This is your run-of-the mill AoE. If you want to continue to AoE after level 60, find a good assist and pray your hands off. Mobs are a lot stronger and the exp is alot less that eventuly that DEX builds will be getting more EXP then you, and that isn’t fun. Because you have to buy a restat.

STA DEX 1v1/AoE

Commonly known as the AoE/DEX hybrid. This is a very odd build and is not exactly what most people want or even like. It’s… Diffrent…

STR: 25-30 (max beefup)
STA: xxx (Max heapup)
DEX: xxx (Max cannonball, cats reflex, haste)
INT: 15

This build is very different. Without good buffs, and a good level 65+ RM yer taking a risk. I wouldn’t advice this build. Although it would be rather interesting if someone decided to try it out sometime.

INT AoE

Your thinking "what? INT AoE?" Well, at level 70 you get some new AoE’s. Not exactly the best, one of them uses MP and a skillposter. Thus the reason you could add INT. Not only do I not want to see ANYONE use this build, for it’s very, well, crappy. But don’t expect to be rich when you use it. The amount of refreshers AND skillposters you use is insane. But, I’m putting a mixture of builds up. I have seen people with this build… they don’t mind it. But it’s up to you on if you think the level 70 AoE is really worth to spend alot of points into INT.

STR: 15 (max beefup)
STA: xxx (max heapup)
DEX: 15
INT xxx (Max mental sign)

This build will also give you the title of a Suport billposter. There are hardly any suport billposters. For why be a BP and suport and not get any cool new buffs? But your buffs will last long… Bgvur Tialbold isn’t a exactly what you call.. "Good AoE"

THIS BUILD IS NOT A GOOD IDEA

STR AoE BP
This AoE isn’t all bad. The only problems I have ever had with it is when you are trying to attack, and then behind you some monster is attacking you too, and you can’t hit it correctly. As it is like a Range of sight AoE. Just think if your character could turn their head like yours, obviously it wouldn’t be all the way around to the back.

Piercing Serpent is more powerful with STR so yeah.

RM builds, YAY RM’s!

Full INT RM

This is what most people at higher levels want. A RM with good buffs, and LOTS AND LOTS of INT. I’ve seen lots of topics of battle RM’s but they are not ment to fight and solo. Look at their skills.

Anyways… RM’s get great skills, just that these new skills don’t last very long without LOTS AND LOTS OF INT! WEWT!

STA: 15 (master heapup. Everyclass needs it >_>)
STR: 15
DEX: 15
INT xxx (master mental sign first)

Suport and battle RM

These RM’s are for that you want the cool buffs, and they last sorta for awhille also. Though you are stuck with your assist fighting skills forever, it isn’t that bad. With mastered buffs, and everthing you can live though a bunch of agros while with a leveling partner. Or you can level a ‘lil bit on your own. Because the RM AoE owns. <3

STA: 30-40 (max heapup)
STR: 20-30 (max Beefup)
Dex: 20-30 (master Cannonball, acc and haste)
INT: xxx (master mental sign)

Eh. I’ve been lazzzzyy and my FS assist is level 42. Until I hear some more news on the new Skill Syetem, I probably won’t be leveling it. So that means I won’t be updating this part of the section for now.

How to tell if you screwed over your Assist!

This part is good news, Because no matter what, you cannot screw over an Assist.

Well here we go, you ready? YOU CANNOT SCREW OVER YOUR ASSIST CHARATER.

There, there ya go. Thats it. You just can’t. Assists are made to be hybrid builds. All around, no mistakes, new person friendly, almost all skills obtained easily class.

Q: Do assists use all stats?
A: Yes, there is no ‘One way to go’ Like Knights and Blades or Psys and Eles, etc..

Q: I acidently added 12 points to INT, but I want to go BP!
A: Whats wrong with alittle more stonehand and buff time?

Q: I want to go RM, But I added (STA/STR/DEX)
A: If you want to go RM that badly, become a battle RM. Just use a BP build. It isn’t hard, you just won’t get as much plvls. That or you can just always add INT from there. I know some ringmasters that add alittle bit of STA/STR/DEX for basic defence.

Q: I really want a Wedge/Flury suit! But I cannot afford it!
A: You don’t need it, it’s just something nice to have. Try to get a good brown stick and stuff. Or a peice of armor that adds MP or something.

Q: I don’t understand the builds!
A: Just build up from them, these are just examples. Gheez. You don’t have to live by them.

Q: I added anything but this build is not the way I wanted to go! I’m too high to go back and I cannot get a restat. Now what?
A: Just live with it, doesn’t kill yah. Although if you are /really/ bothered by it, and you can’t get a restat… Just start over and give all your old items to your new assist. At least you know what not to do now!
