The following is a guide on how to farm Aminus boxes in the Aminus Dungeon. The dungeon is available for both non-master and master/heroin separate dungeons. The best class for farming the boxes is no doubt an Acrobat, so thus this guide finds its home in the Acrobat Section.

Aminus Box Runs

Introduction
Aminus Boxes are a semi-valuable item drop in the Aminus Dungeon which can be acquired with ease, at almost no cost. The key item of interest in the contents are Remantis Lacotte, sunstones and moonstones, but you can also get shining orichalcums and jewelry, and perhaps the very valuable 7% or A Cards.

Being an Acrobat gives you the quintessential skills needed to make this task simple! First we will examine the contents and then we will go over some requirements, and finally the method of doing the run.

Contents of Boxes
There are actually three kinds of boxes. Most of the contents are similar. Empirical rates project pending. Results to be posted later. (Yea I know the real rates, but I can’t just post them here, yet.) The list of contents for each box:

Aminus Piercing Box:

Requirements/Recommendations
-Level 90+ (This is actually a requirement)
-20k HP+
-"Very Good" Block Rate

Skills
This guide is meant for Acrobats. So we’re going to assume you have the basic acrobat skillset available from the first job tree. Having said that, the skills to have maxed are: Fast Walker, Dark Illusion, and Perfect Block.

Armor Set
Typically, you should be level 105+ before attempting to do runs in this dungeon. The enemies inside are all level 115+ and can hit well over 10k, sometimes even over 20k if you aren’t prepared. Therefore, the best armors are ones that add a lot of block. For rangers, this is the Raze/Ranerz, and for Jesters the Jesis/Jenes. If you are a BJ, you can do it on a well upgraded Restra/Rasra set. The only awakes that matter are ones that add walk speed and STA. Neither are at all particularly necessary.

Jewelry
Your jewelry doesn’t have any hard requirements. However, if you have speedos, the task becomes much easier. You won’t be fighting to kill, so demols are useless. Plugs would be useful as well, but again, not necessary.

Weapon
It’s helpful to attack mobs which have aggroed you. In the event of a knockback, it buys you a little extra time while Dark Illusion cools down. Personally I prefer a bow. Some players like to use a Yoyo to employ the counterattack skill, at times.

Preparation
Before you do a run, be sure to set your skill bar up appropriately. You’ll want the following: Attack Target, Food, Perfect Block, Dark Illusion, Fast Walker, Pick-up Pet, and Pills (and perhaps, White Cakes.) Memorize the bar so that you are prepared.

Like some other dungeons, Aminus is a Party-Instanced dungeon. You should have an RM buff you outside with maxed buffs that last longer than 7-9 minutes. When you are ready, it is time to enter. Depending on whether you are Master/Hero or non-master, the entrance to the dungeon varies.

Rules
The general rules of this instance (taken from wiki and touched up):
1) You must be in a party to enter dungeon but party is not teleported to dungeon if you enter it.
2) If you leave the Dungeon you must wait 30 minutes to re-enter. This timer starts the minute you first enter.
3) The use of Trans, be it Aibatt Trans or other, are no longer allowed within the dungeons

What to Expect
It’s virtually impossible to run the dungeon entirely without hits. You will need to be able to tank hits. Block rate helps immensely. You will probably die more than a few times. It’s easy to get careless after a lot of runs.

Boxes(crates you click on) will at best will drop one of each of the three types of boxes on the ground. With four of them in the dungeon, you could theoretically get 12 Aminus Boxes per run.

***The cursed aminus dungeon gives on average 4-5 boxes per run. 7-8 is high, 2-3 is low.
***The normal aminus dungeon gives on average 3-4 boxes per run. 5-6 is high, 1-2 is low.

The Method
Basically you will be starting with Perfect Block. Study the map before you advance. When you are ready, cast DI and FW, and run down the first hallway. It will take practice before you get good. The map is shown below, with each box numbered in the order you should get them.

My path leads sequentially, from boxes 1-2-3-4. (kinda follow the yellow diamonds) Some people prefer to go 1-2-4-3, which can be a bit safer because box #3 is fairly hard to get.

After you grab the last box, in whichever order you take, you can either wait around til the next DI, and use a blinkwing, or you can employ the party-escape trick.

The Party-escape trick is simple: Just set yourself up in a party of just you and one other friend (or your RM.) Before you begin your run, click leave so you have the dialog window on your screen. Save it for after the run. As soon as you grab the contents of your final box, click Leave on the dialog window for a swift escape.

Safe Areas
These areas are labelled in yellow diamonds. When you do a run, you need to be very adaptive, and on the lookout for a place to rest while DI cools down for reuse. The yellow diamonds aim to provide an idea of where DI might run out, forcing you to look for a clearing.

The mobs from each spawn are least likely to have strayed into these ‘safer’ areas, and therefore these are your way points through the dungeon. Again, an adaptive outlook in dungeon runs is key.

A few posts below, I describe each of the safe spots. Also on the second page a person posted a similar outline of safe-areas.

Note: There are no "real" safe areas. But of course, these are the nicer places to look for.

Other Tips and Notes
-When you click on a box to open it, 0-3 littler boxes will emerge as a drop. Do not pick them up until DI is just about to run out. Because picking up any item, either yourself or with the pick-up pet, will pull you out of DI. You should have a CS-Pet, so try to position yourself while in range of the loot, then send your Pick-up pet to grab it. Another option is to get a running start while you summon your pick-up pet for the loot.

-Rooms with mini bosses are nice rooms to take a breather. The boss being the only aggro there should provide enough time to wait until FW and DI are recastable.

WARNING: Couple Buffs when toggled with your couple partner online the same server, can and will most likely pull you out of dark illusion. Therefore, it is recommended that you run box runs on a different server from your couple.

Conclusion
At the cost of a few blessings to cover up failed runs that result in death, Aminus Box runs can provide a fair amount of profit. Remantis are always in demand, if you open your boxes, and sun/moon/oris are great to collect. Every once in a while, you may get a rare A card and score big. It’s not particularly a way to make money incredibly fast, but over time, you can manage a consistent income.
