When I begin with gaybattlemage I have an idea for magic knight as well. He’ll don’t use rapier for damage. He’ll use cariad and passive skills that increase the cariad damage. I’ll tank my pets so they’ll do only damage, while with enough dexterity I don’t take damage.

So I began to half dexterity half intelligence, naval points to constitution. At the early levels it just goes well. But my dexterity slowly becomes incapable to prevent me. So I changed it to 2 dexterity, 1 intelligence. With this I hope to collect mobs for others. While I can’t aoe, at last I can help to party.

The second problem is about temptation. I know the mobs are fragile, for that I make my damage high to out damage my pets to take aggro. With this my mobs don’t need to fight, they just do the damage… or so I was thinking… because when I reached level 40 and take temptation it was the nightmare. Yes I doubled the pet’s damage and I was even faster but mobs takes aggro like mercenaries provoke. So if I don’t cast shade of fear it’s impossible to protect my pets form harm. So what? Killing 2 monsters in one min? Without pets I’m going more relaxed. Because they miss a bit (1\3 of the time) and hit more slowly than me aaand do less critical so their damage output is near 1\4 of me. So even I have 3 pets and make them somehow stay alive my total damage output can’t be doubled. With party my pet can survive with 5% of hp at the end of 10 minutes and rest in peace. If I go alone it generally dies around 9th minute.

Collecting mobs for others is another temptation problem. When I collect the first mob, my pet strike it and don’t stop until one of them dies. Taking aggro and can’t healing are the greatest penalty of pets. In the end it seems placing more than one point to temptation is needles because you can’t make it survive more than 10 seconds if you don’t kill more than 2 mobs in one minute, which cuts the experience income by half.

Blessing of mana and vampireric touch just works fine; because of my high intelligence vampireric touch sucks a good amount of hp, and because of my high hp blessing of mana makes good amount of mp.

Now the second decision comes, while I can’t use my pets as I wish I can kill fewer mobs and where is the specialty of this character? Not resting because of blessing of mana and vampireric touch? I can’t even collect mobs because of my pet. Its life nearly ends after first collecting. It will be too bad.

Now as my spell damage is good why I can’t cast aoe? I have a bit defense thanks to my dexterity. There is only two aoe a magic knight can use. One is heavy lightning and the other is ice bomb. I have fewer mana so casting is a bit hard, but my mana regeneration is too high in 10 seconds I can fill my mana. So if spell’s mana consumption is not greater than my mana pool it won’t be impossible.

The question is; will my damage sufficient? Heavy lighting’s damage is not so bad. It won’t need too much mana as well. But it’s damage is not sufficient single handedly. If I leave ice bomb at level one the total damage won’t enough to kill too.

Ice bomb (my base damage) -> heavy lightning (my base damage) -> second ice bomb (my base damage)

The second ice bomb can be cast after 12 seconds than first ice bomb. At higher levels that means 170 + 1ooo + 3ooo + 1ooo + 170 + 1ooo = 6ooo of damage. It won’t be enough. And that 3ooo damage of heavy lightning is waaay later level.

Can the solution be ice bomb? You know, ice bomb damage increase is less then mana increase. But it’s for the first levels. Before the great patch ice bomb does near 2ooo of damage at last level. With the mana cost of 9oo? The damage is a bit fewer now but can still reach to 1500 I hope. If it will happen with a mana booster court magicians mana boost, I can cast ice bomb, heavy lightning, ice bomb and finish the mobs.

But I have less skill points now. The skills I leveled are

Phantom pain (try to full)
Phantom grief (try to full)
Shade of fear (already full)
Lure of incubus (already full (for bosses mainly))
Magic power (try to full)
Mental concentration (try to full)
Blessing of mana (try to full)

As you can see I have little amount of skill points for now. And even opening the two aoes need 6 skill points. And I don’t know end the process it may work or not. Perhaps I don’t make pp, pg and bom full. If they don’t correct the temptation and royal slave, I don’t take them either. So I may have enough skill points for heavy lightning and ice bomb.

The thing is; I don’t use three of ‘must be’ magic knight skill (sword of spirit, temptation (one point only) and royal slave) so making a court magician that skilled in illusion tree better? My only extra skill is blessing of mana and I lost ice thorn and wrath of earth. Anyway, I have no mana to cast them either. To cast them I need wisdom but making this diminish my cariad damage and taking magic power needles, vampireric touch powerless. Plus If I take the two big aoe I have no skill to buy pp and pg, putting fewer skill points to them chances nothing. And this build is gaybattlemage build.

For endless mana pole, there is a new possibility; recharge. 4 points master skill. Because now I have an endless filling others mana pool is possible.

Let I calculate how much points that I can spend:
Heavy lightning = 10
Ice bomb = 11
To get there = 4 so it’s a 25 skill points to aoe the mobs.
Magic power = 11
Mental concentration = 9
To get there = 4 so it’s a 24 skill points to aoe and do good single target damage.
Phantom pain = 10 (will this be enough?)
Phantom grief = 11 (it is a must)
Vampireric touch = 1
Shade of fear = 3
Lure of incubus = 5
Blessing of mana = 7 (although the skill is bugged (two skill points are enough to max)
To get there = 2 so it’s a 39 points to overcome bosses and don’t die.

In the end I need 88 points!!! It just doesn’t works.

If I try to do this build, I must give up many skills.

Is mental concentration so important? It will save me during aoes. Stunning one quarter of the mobs can save my life.
Is magic power so important? Well I need heavy damage but I have a lack of skills so yes.

If I don’t try make all of them master level, I think I can do it. But I’m aware that this build booms somewhere so when I understand this want to be heavy nuker, aoeer, boss slaying magic knight build better I take a skill reset stone and make a perfect build or leave the aoeer part.

Until that time I need suggestions about skills and tactics.

everything about temptation

-temptation range is same as shade of fear range
-casting time is 5 seconds
-you can temptate only normal mobs that are at your level or lower
-temptateds don’t get any bonus because of fighting at your side (only royal slave adds some defance bonus)
-if you die, you loose your pet
-if you offline, you loose your pet
-if you dropped, you loose your pet
-if you enter a new area (map), you loose your pet
-if you teleport to city, you loose your pet
-if you don’t stirke a mob, your pet doesn’t strike as well
-if a mob doesn’t strike your pet, your pet doesn’t strike as well
-if a mob doesn’t strike you, your pet doesn’t strike as well, no matter how close the enemy is
-every body can cast every buff to your pet and it works (except mana buffers)
-if temptations duration runs out but your pet still some hp, pet instantly dies
-when you temptate a mob that mob doesn’t count as death
-the temptated mob doesn’t respawn until your pet dies, disappears via leaving map
-temptated mob respawn at it’s normal cooldown time, after you lose your pet
-you or anybody can’t heal your pet in any way (i don’t try recovery. when i try i’ll write)
-if your pet strike a mob and even it misses, your mob takes the aggro whatever the condition is
-if your pet beginns to strike a mob (and of course mob becomes aggro to pet) pet doesn’t stop until it or the adversary dies
-if your pet beginss to strike a mob no matter how far you run, pet don’t returns before adversary dies.

con problems.
aoe’in mk has short of ability points. since hl and ib do lesser damage i must add to int. but even i add int the damage is still insufficient to kill mobs with single hit, we must cast them again and again. this takes time and for survive we need avoidance rate.

giving int is essential but giving con? i already give 15 points to con but don’t know if it will be better if i add that much point to dex instead.

int reduice my dex more than dex-wis build. so dividing my ability points to 3 won’t help. it’s best to not give con i think.

mana problems.
there is a mana problem. for now at level 42, 2000 mana is enaugh to cast ib -> hl -> vt -> ib -> vt -> hl or ib. but as i get more levels for them my mana surely don’t last any longer. if i skill mu or mb i have no skill for many others.

at last levels ib consume 1200 and hl consume 1752 mana. wich does 500 and 4000 damage.
casting ib -> hl -> ib does (500 + 4000 + 500 + (1200(base damage) x 3)) = 8600 damage which consumes 4350 mana. i’m pretty sure our base mana will be above that in its level. but it is unnecessary. leave ice bomb at first level.
(170 + 4000 + 170 + (1200(base damage) x 3)) = 8000 (i didn’t even count magic power and mental concantration.) which consumes 2150 mana. i think i need ice shield too. :’(

the problem is you can take level 9 hl at level 80 (which is impossible) and last level 86. the max damages will be reduiced and with that we can’t do equal woe’s damage. casting heavy lightning two times is needed.

at last with that much damage we are in party again:)
