Introduction to Warrior:

As said on the Conquer Online site, the Warrior is the "defensive" class, compared to Trojan, which is the "attack" class. The warrior class is very easy to start off and is one of the fastest (if not The Fastest) class to level up, thanks to the XP skill, Superman.

Advantages of Warrior:

1. Highest defense of all classes (at earlier levels anyways)

2. Ability to wear a shield greatly reduces damage (again, at lower levels)

3. Shield skill, Dash, allows you to
"Dash" an opponent, pushing back them one step and doing normal damage. A special trick is to left click on the opponent just as you are about to do Dash damage, so you end up hitting twice in one move.

4. The XP skill. Superman. THIS IS YOUR LEVELING GOD. For a few good seconds, your damage against monsters is increased by 10X, and you get 10X off each hit as well. Very fast at mowing down mobs for quick exp. With Superman you can kill Messenger, Aides, and Kings very easily.

5. Warrior is a very independent class. You can comfortably level by yourself without always needing someone to level with you.

6. Warrior equipment is the cheapest of all class equipment. On Lion server, most warrior equipments are about half as expensive as trojan ones. So if you’re starting a brand new character or are just really poor, then warrior is for you.

Disadvantages of Warrior

Warrior’s probably sounding really nice right now huh? But there are some drawbacks to this class.

1. Lower damage compared to trojans, since warriors are always stuck with using one weapon.

2. Very hard to kill using a Warrior, compared to other classes. Warriors rely on SS/FB/direct hit to kill, while Trojans have all that, and on top of that, have Hercules. Herc may not be that strong (when without a good DragonGem set), but its much easier to aim. You as a Warrior, are going to use a Club for leveling (usually), so it will be insanely hard to defend yourself using a Club. (Warrior PVP later in guide)

3. At mid-higher levels, a piece of Trojan armor has more defense (phys/mag) than Warrior armor. So if you decide to go with a 2-hander weapon anytime during your warrior carreer, just know that a Trojan of the same level would most likely have just as much defense as you, or more.

4. Low HP, about half the HP of a Trojan, and the same HP as a Tao of the same level.

5. Only able to wield one weapon, so you can’t mix and match weapons like you can with Trojan.

6. Lower level Trojans can own you.

7. Since Warriors can only hold one weapon, they can only get 2 easy sockets, while Trojans can get 4 easy sockets a-la Dual Wielding. (Suggested by mariux)

Why Play Warrior Then?

After all those disadvantages, you’re probably wondering why you would want to play as Warrior. Here are some commonly used reasons:

1. Cheap equipment. Very easy to start a new warrior character with decent +’s.

2. Cool looking armor. Generally, only the armors level 70 and up are the good looking ones. Everything under that isnt too good.

3. If you ever become a good PvP warrior, you’ll have reason to boast. Hard to PvP as a Warrior when compared to Trojan.

4. Because Warriors level quite fast with Superman, they are one of the fastest classes to level up to reborn. (Tip by ESD)

DOs and DON’Ts of Warrior

DO:

- Buy an Elite Helmet and Elite Armor as soon as possible.
- Buy a Fixed Warrior armor and use it until Level 57, where you should switch to your Elite armor. There are Lv32 and Lv47 Fixed armors.
- Use a Club for leveling. ANY club! Regular club will be decent for leveling, refined and higher are even better.
- + your armor and helmet as much and as often as you can. First + your armor, then your helmet. The m-def you get from +’ing armor is very helpful.
- A Blade/Sword with FB/SS is recommended to use at Training Grounds on the Scarecrows.

DO NOT:

- Do not use a Blade, Sword, or any weapon without an area attack skill for leveling. The exp you get from using a Club or even a Whip is much better than from a Sword.
- Do not attempt to train at rednamed monsters unless you take 1 damage from them. Anything higher and they will be a drain on your pots. Instead, train on whitenamed monsters that will hit you for the minimum damage and maximum exp.
- Do not super your equipment right away. If you are a new player who miraculously came into possession of a Super item, sell it, dont use it. Super items take a very large amount of meteors to upgrade at market. Upgrading Super items at TC is very difficult and dangerous – you can be PKed at anytime.
- Do not carry/sell expensive items in town. Do this at Market, where you can’t be PKed.
- Do not use Dragonballs to upgrade the quality of items unless you know that the upgraded version of the item is worth more than the original item + DB combined. NEVER upgrade the quality of a normal or refined item, unless its a socketed non-weapon.
- Do not super anything that does not have sockets. Sockets first, quality later.
- Do not get pleveled at levels 50-60+. You will most likely be able to level solo faster than by plevel.

Is Warrior the Right Class for You?

If you want the easy way to level up fast: YES – Warrior is very easy to level
If you are a hardcore gamer and want as much power as you can: NO – Warrior is not a brute strength class. If you want brute strength, choose Trojan or Fire Tao.
If you want to be strong and powerful right from the start: NO – If you want power, Trojan is for you.
If you want to look cool: YES
If you want to PvP easily/often: NO – It is not easy to PvP as a warrior for the average player. If you are a PvP-loving person, Trojan is more suited to you.
If you are poor and have little/nothing to start with – YES – Warriors need little money to start compared to other classes.

Warrior Guide Part 2: Weaponry, PvP, Rebirth Suggestions:

Warriors only have the ability to carry one weapon, so you have quite a limited choice of weapons compared to Trojans, so its very important you choose the weapon that’s best for you.

PvP with Warrior is also more tricky. A typical trojan can choose to train with a Club/Blade (or sword). With FastBlade/ScentSword, a Trojan can readily defend themselves against PKers while also using a Club to level up. With Warrior, you have to choose 1) To train – with Club, 2) To PK – with Blade, or PK weapon of choice.

Warrior, being one of the fastest/easiest to level, also has some nice rebirth options.

Weaponry for Warrior:

Note that this is not a Weapon Guide. I’m only going to talk about how well these weapons work for Warriors. If you wish to find information about Weapons specifically, please search another Weapons Guide in this forum.

Blade:

Uses: PK, using FastBlade. PKing with Blade using direct hit is not recommended.

Recommended gem(s) to use: Dragon (PK), Rainbow (TG).

Recommended ring to use: Attack ring, for maximum damage.

Advantages: FastBlade, a long range attack skill that deals damage within a straight line. One of the most used skills for PKing. To aim this skill, set your shadows to "Simple", and once your enemy stops moving, quickly FastBlade under them – click on their shadow. Of course, your enemy won’t stay standing for more than second, so you’ll need to well-time your attack as well as predict where they will land next. The attack power of Blade is quite nice as well.

Disadvantages: For a warrior, Blade is next to useless for leveling, because you can only hit one target at a time in close combat.

Sword:

Uses: PK, using SwordScent. SwordScent is basically the same as FastBlade, but with fancier graphics. SwordScent is also slightly harder to aim than FastBlade as the animation is almost invisible at certain angles. However, you should choose to use a Blade instead for maximum power.

Recommended gems to use: Dragon (PK), Rainbow (TG).

Recommended ring to use: Attack ring for maximum damage.

Advantages: See Blade.

Disadvantages: See Blade.

Glaive, Halberd, Poleaxe, Longhammer (2-handed weapons):

Uses: 2-handed weapons, have double the range as a 1 handed weapon. You can attack a monster from a farther distance with a 2hander. 2 handed weapons are a good choice for a Warrior to use for both Leveling and PKing. 2 handed weapons have superior damage over 1 handed weapons. The passive skill of Glaive, Halberd, Poleaxe, Longhammer deals bonus damage in a forward 180 degree range. However, most 2 handed weapons have low Dexterity, so it is recommended you use a Heavy Ring to compensate for the loss in accuracy.

Remember that each of these weapons do not have identical stats. Choose the one that most suits you. Poleaxe and Longhammer have identical stats, and have the highest maximum damage and the lowest minimum damage, and have the slowest Frequency (80). Weapons such as Halberd and Glaive have higher Dex and higher minimum damage, but lower maximum damage.

Recommended gems to use: Dragon (Train/PK), Rainbow (Train), Fury (Train/PK).

Recommended ring to use: Heavy Ring, to compensate for low dex.

Advantages: Fairly high power compared to 1-handed weapons, and more damage = more exp. The extended range of the Glaive/Halberd/etc helps you attack monsters easier and helps in getting high KO counts with Superman.

Disadvantages: You cannot use a shield with a 2 handed weapon, so you will suffer a loss in Defense if you wish to use this weapon. Only use a 2 handed weapon to train if you take the same damage with or without a shield. 2 handed passive weapon skills only does damage in a forward 180 degree range so you’ll have to attack the monster that is in the middle of the mob, so the passive skill can hit the maximum number of monsters possible.

2 handed weapon (Spear):

Uses: PK.

Recommended gems to use: Dragon (PK), Fury (PK).

Advantages: It is a powerful 2 handed weapon that has a very strong passive skill that does 240% bonus damage (when fixed) in a straight line. Very good for 1v1 fights because it wont easily hit innocent bystanders.

Disadvantages: Since Spear is only good for single target killing, it isn’t good for leveling at all.

2 handed weapon: Wand

Uses: Training.

Recommended gems to use: Rainbow (Training/TG)

Recommended ring to use: whatever.

Advantages: Wand is possibly the best weapon to train with. It has double the range of 1 handed weapons and its passive skill, Snow, has double the range of Club’s Rage, so you can hit more monsters in one activation of Snow. Snow has a wide 360 degree range. Wand is very good for training in large mobs.

Disadvantages: Wand has the lowest attack power of all 2 handed weapons so it is not suited for PKing. Plus, if you tried to attack someone, there is a chance that Snow will activate and possibly damage/kill innocent bystanders. While Wand is very good for leveling, make sure you can take mimimal damage without shield first before you switch to Wand.

Dagger:

Uses: No practical use for Dagger for Warrior, only a novelty item.

Recommended gems to use: N/A

Recommended ring to use: Attack ring for more damage. Dagger already has lots of dex.

Advantages: Nearly none. But Dagger’s Penetration skill does +150% damage at Elementary and +240% damage at Fixed. That’s a lot of damage boost. People say that Penetration can ignore defense so you can (try) to PK people with it and if luck is in your favor, Penetration may activate and you will deal insane damage.

Disadvantages: Because Warriors can’t dual wield, you will have to depend on the weak weapon damage of Dagger alone, while Trojans can use a Club/Dagger for extra strength. Dagger is very weak for warrior so dont expect to kill a lot with it. Penetration has a very low activation rate so don’t depend on it.

Hammer/Axe/Hook/Scepter:

Hammer, Axe, Hook, Scepter are pitiful for leveling/PK/anything for Warrior, please don’t even consider using them. You can try it out if you want though, but I’m warning you now.

Club

Uses: Training, some PKing.

Recommended gems: Rainbow (Train/TG), Dragon (Train/PK)

Recommended ring to use: Heavy Ring to compensate for low dex.

Advantages: Very powerful, and the passive Rage skill has a high activation rage and levels up very fast. Rage deals bonus damage in a full 360 degree range around you. Club is a definite must-have weapon for a Warrior. Any quality club is acceptable for leveling.

Disadvantages: Low Dex and bad for PKing. Don’t expect to kill many people with a Club unless you are high leveled and have a good set of dragon gems. It is very hard to get up close to attack with a Club while your opponent is jumping everywhere. And if you do get up close, it will be a very low chance you actually hit.

Whip

Uses: Train.

Recommended gems: Rainbow (Train)

Recommended ring: Attack

Advantages: Same stats as a Sword; high dex, so you can expect to hit often. Whip’s passive skill, roamer, is like that of Glaive/Poleaxe/Longhammer/Halberd, it does damage in a forward 180 degree range.

Disadvantages: Weak attack power, limited area damage range. Bad for PK.

Warrior PvP

This part of the guide will assume that you are non-reborn, fighting against non-reborn/reborn characters.

Warrior vs Warrior

Generally: Difficult fight, as both sides have high defense and low attack. Determining factors as to who will win will depend on sockets, weapon choice, and player skill.

Recommended weapons:

- Blade/Sword: use FB/SS.
- 2-handed weapon (ie: Poleaxe): keep jumping and jump close to score a direct hit. If you hit, you should deal a good amount of damage. You will rely on direct hits so it can be very tricky.
- Club+Shield: Dash+Direct Hit combo. Good damage if you land a direct hit, but again, direct hits are hard to come by. Even harder with 1-handed weapons.

Tactics:

- Attack and retreat; attack once, and quickly retreat before your opponent can strike you back. As for all types of opponents, NEVER stand still for more than a second except to fire a FB/SS or regain Stamina.
- Use Superman or XP Shield. Superman will quickly kill the opponent if they are caught off guard. An opponent will most likely run away if you use XP shield since they will do zero damage to you. XP shield is more suited to a Guild War situation.

Warrior vs Trojan

General: Hope that you are a religious person because you will need lots of prayer. Remember that you are outclassed in attack damage.

Recommended weapons:

- Blade (FastBlade)
- 2 handed weapon (ie: Poleaxe)
Tactics:

- Basic hit and run strategies. Be more alert than in a War vs War situation as the stakes are higher and the odds are against you.
- If the trojan uses Herc and it doesnt 1 hit you, keep potting and keep trying to fight. If the trojan does 1 hit herc you, then oopsies.
- If the trojan uses FastBlade/ScentSword, keep trying to avoid the attacks. Remember that FB/SS can only be used 5 times before the user has to sit to regain Stamina.
- Use Blade (FastBlade) to attack
- Use a 2 handed weapon such as a Poleaxe. This way you can do the maximum damage you can possibly do, necessary because of a Trojan’s high HP. If the Trojan can’t use FB/SS/Herc and relies on direct hits, then you have the advantage with a 2 handed weapon.

Warrior vs Archer

General: One of the only matchups where the Warrior has the upper hand. Use a Shield, it will be a lifesaver.

Recommended weapons:

- Blade
- Sword
(with Shield)

Tactics:

- Use FB/SS while the archer is on the ground.
- Always use Shield. It will block the majority of the arrows.
- If the archer attempts to use Fly, run as far as you can and run in random directions to evade them.
- When the Archer’s Fly runs out, immediately take the opportunity and attack them using FB/SS. Do not let them sit down to regain Stamina so they can’t fly. Hope they dont have XP Fly coming up.
- If you have Fixed Flying Moon (req. Lv100), then use it when it comes up. If the archer is above Lv70 then you’re probably not going to 1 hit them, but will do a good amount. Hope the archer is at low HP. If your FM is not Fixed, then dont bother using it.

Warrior vs Tao

General: A very tricky situation. You should use a shield against Taos for the added m-def so you dont take that much damage. But at the same time, it is very hard to hit a Tao who is constantly jumping. Remember, Taos can use magic attack spells while jumping. A War vs Tao fight can drag on a long time unless the Tao is at a much superior level, where you will promptly get owned. Other than that, the fight can go on very long.

Recommended weapons:

- Blade
- Sword
(In combination with Shield)

Tactics:

- Constantly pot, the Tao has a much easier time hitting you than it is for you to hit them
- Always use a shield. Without a Shield, you have worse m-def than a Trojan.
- Use Earrings, any earrings your level. Your helmet will not help at all against Taos.
- Remember that one successful hit with FB/SS will most likely 1 hit the enemy Tao. If not 1 hit, it will take out a great deal of HP.
- If the Tao is reborn, RUN LIKE THE WIND. Unless you are a reborn as well with decent m-def.

That concludes the basic PvP guide. In my time as a warrior, I have hardly needed to do any PvPing so my tips for PKing should only be regarded as starter hints. Don’t blame me if you try them and get owned in the process. Improvise your tactics and own.

Warrior Rebirth Strategy:

Here are my opinions and suggestions about each rebirth path. Remember that whatever you choose is your decision and there is no wrong choice. The "wrong" choice is only choosing something you find you don’t like.

Warrior-Warrior

New skills learned: Reflect. Reflect has a chance of reflecting back the damage to the person who attacked you. Sometimes Reflect won’t reflect the full damage. Ie: You get hit for 7K but reflect back 1K damage. Also, you cannot reflect more damage than you have in HP. Probability of Reflect activating is 40% once you are level 110. Indisputedly one of the most powerful reborn spell.

A pureblood reborn warrior finally has a chance to shine with their Reflect skill as described above. Enemies who try to PK you will have to constantly keep their HP at maximum or else they run the chance of 1-hitting themselves if Reflect happens to activate. Once the warrior reaches level 110, they are totally free from any stat requirements and are free to redistribute their points to whatever they want. A warrior should remove Strength points and reduce it to 176, the maximum Strength required for any weapon. The extra points should be distributed to Stamina, enough to get about 3K+ HP. Dexterity should be maintained at 60, or lowered slightly and use a Heavy Ring to compensate.

Only downside is, its still hard to actually hit someone in a PvP fight, but this time around, you have your reborn Guard and reflect to help you. Its also somewhat dull playing the same class again.

Warrior-Trojan

This is the only type of reborn Trojan that carries over Flying Moon. FM is very useful against low m-def players such as other Trojans or shieldless warriors, and low level Archers.

Not much to say about this reborn path except for the added benefit of Flying Moon. Not a bad reborn choice either. You cant go wrong with a Trojan.

Warrior-Archer

You get no special or helpful skills with this reborn path. You get to carry over XP shield and Roar, both of which are useless for Archer. XP Shield will prevent you from using Stamina fly.

I don’t recommend this reborn path for lack of special advantages.

Warrior-Fire Tao

You carry over XP Shield and Roar just like War-Archer, but this time, XP Shield isn’t useless at all. Instead, you as a Fire Tao, now finally have a useful XP Skill! XP Shield can definitely help you reduce your damage from melee monsters and players. Roar is useless and will always stay useless. Fire Tao in general is a powerful class, so this reborn path is good as well.

Warrior-Water Tao

You get to carry over Superman, XP Shield, and Roar with this reborn path. This type of reborn isnt very useful if you plan on being a magic-using Water Tao, but extremely advantageous if you become a melee Water Tao.

With Superman, a Wand/Poleaxe, you can level up yourself fairly fast. Self healing and Stigging will help tons as well.

On top of that, you will be the ultimate Tao killer. As a Tao, you have access to cheap m-def equipment. Load up on as much +’ed equipment as you can. Magic-using taos will do hundreds of damage to you, while you will be doing thousands. But as a Tao, you are still vulnerable to melee classes such as Warrior and Trojan. In that case, use your reborn Guard to dispose of them.
