well while im waiting the download finish i’ll try to make an exhaustive introduction of archers for all newbies ppl who try to do this (easiest) job in CO.

well archer is first the easiest job to lvl up but also the most exepnsive, cause you’ll need all your way loads of gold to afford the arrows you’ll need.

wood arrows > 20 silver 20 arrow in a bunch (till lvl 32)
iron arrows > 480 silv 100 arrows (2x more dmg than wood one)
speed arrows > 3600 silv 500 arrows (2x more dmg also)

magic arrows :

in my opinion magic arrows are useless in your hunt cause you got only a few arrows and scatter allways do the best dmg in the end (scatter own) BUT its really usefull in PvPing, cause of huge dmg at first shot (best are poisonous cause you dont have to stand while the beautiful effect is goin on) so in war or pk duties got an amount of magic arrows is the best deal i think…

skills :

fly,improved fly, first one is skill xp i use it only for travel faster, cause in a hunt even we are defended against monsters (except magic ones, msger) its slow to move in a short distance and jump is the best way to use scatter. At low lvls if you hunt kings instead of scaterring every thing you see, its become usefull cause kings make huges dmg and our LOW def/hp is screwed up in like 1/2 hits. improved one is cool cause we can travel faster every time u want

fast shot : slow dmg and make like only 25% more dmg than a normal shot, usefull in pk as first shot (but i still got doubt abt it).

scatter : the best lvl 23 skill, it allow archers to lvl really fast and make the kill xp really ridiculous compared to all hit you got when scattering.

arrow rain : bugged for me, i cant use it, sometime it works sometimes not, it make a free arrow charge scatter with thunder arrows, cool when it works (grrrr at devs )

thats all i use cause im only 73 and next skill are at lvl 100 ^^”,
forgot the intensify skill which is uber in PvP but need long time to launch careful so… lag is allways waiting to kill u

tips for lvling : as i said in a post in the trade forum, lvling at kings at low lvl is the fastest way cause u got more xp than a plvl (yes ii swear)

when lvling on kings is too low cause u kill it too fast, begin the fun part of archer : scatter/jump(fly), find urself a cool hellspawn (like slow apes/elfapes) and just jump around monsters tolure em in pack and go scatter to make xp fast (best places are adventure land and hawking cause many monsters packed already) as an example u can win like 5 k xp at slow apes easily with one scatter and it use only 2 or 3 arrows (depends of ur scatter lvl) and slow down the money u waste buying arrows…

to avoid being hitted by mobs when jumping, u can just right click and jump at same time cause the scatter get launched anyway so… just check the place u jump at to land safely (its easy i said)

On levels ending in 2,3,4,7,8,9 – Fight reds, get max hit/kill exp that way.

On levels ending in 0,1,5,6 – Fight whites, you do 2x dmg, meaning 2x hit exp (combined with scatter = FAST leveling).

about archers equipments…

note that when u only scatter your bow skill dont increase so u need to make normal shot to increase it (really stupid when u get high lvl and cant use your next bow )

for me the hat are ugly and useless cause we got so few hps/def its useless to wear on, i use earrings on my archers (unique ones, elite so rare i cant imagine their worthiness) earring give a good magick def, and its really usefull in a spot with many messengers…

i noticed that a gemmed bow with 2 gems is better than an elite one without any sock (i got 0 sock elite damn >_<) so trust ur luck and find urself a suitable bow hehe

normal rings are better cause the high dmg are better than heavy rings, so better use those rings…

why we r allways broke >_< !

cause we get glad we lvl so fast and forget that we HAVE more than any other job to hunt money at green monsters! spending one or two hours a day is really usefull cause the higher u get the more money u collect (snakesman gives around 350 k in one hour) and when kill green monster our chance to find cool stuff like mets db and magick item is improved it seems prolly cause we kill more monsters in a shorter time…

in the end archer is the easiest job to lvl up, and its fun too cause we can fly and make great dmg with scatter =]
