This post contains important concepts and several tips that will help you doing better in nation war.

Read and fully understand this post will push your nation war techniques to the limit!

(In other words, by following this guide, no one will call you a noob!)

Article Structures: Blue – Purple – Green

Score System:

The Score board can be found at top right corner as shown below.

Each nation starts with 5000 score.

Second line is the score of your nation.

Third line is the score of opponent nation.

First line is the score that each nation has for the people to build the towers "by points." (See below for more information)

This score does not effect the war result. It is simply a separate counter for the tower buildings.

(This score can be gained in each three minutes period and based on the amount of base one nation has)

From the countless war I went to, only one nation war, we experienced the effect of the first score.

Once a nation runs out of the first score, you will not able to build guardian or any tower "by points."

Each base occupied – 5000 score.

Each Large points (Alpha, Center, and Omega) occupied – 3000 score.

Each Medium points (W#, and E#) occupied – 2000 score.

Each Small points (N#, and S#) occupied – 1000 score.

Each opponent killed – 10 score.

Each large guardian killed – 500 score.

Each Medium guardian killed – 300 score.

Each small guardian killed – 100 score.

This is the reason why it is better to not build guardians at small base – enemy will gain less score. (Gain 1000 instead of 1100)

Only building the guardian when the Legacy Barrier is almost taken. (Low on HP)

It allow us to buy some times. (Enemies waste their time to kill the barrier)

Class Roles:

Each and every class has their advantages in the nation war.

There are many different ways to practice a class. The following statements are only suggestions.

WA – Tanker

WAs in the nation war should be always on the front line and takes all the damage from the enemies.

FS – Tanker, Defender

FSs should be on the front line and use thier Shadow Shield and Art of Defense at the right time.

FSs are also a good builder since they can AoD beside the tower panel.

BL – Half DPSer, Half Tanker

BLs have decent damage output and defense. They should try to kill enemies and tanking them at the same time.

FB – de-buffer, rooter

FBs have powerful de-buffs that gives a lot of advantages and useful binding skills. They should try to keep de-buff on the guardian or enemies all the time.

WI – Scout, Support

WIs have high mobility in the nation war. Their ability of moving fast is ideal for scouting enemy’s tower builders.

They should kill enemies from the back and trace down low-HP enemies.
FA – DPSer, Support

FA has the highest DPS of all classes. They should be concentrate on taking points or taking down desired towers.

Useful Short Keys:

There are few shot keys that are important in the nation war.

Tab, M – Open war map

By holding Tab, the war map will show on the middle of your screen.

(The Map will disappear once you release tab)

Click M to open and close the war map.

Ctrl + u – Open FPS console

It is important to maintain a lag-free environment for the best performance in the nation war.

By press Ctrl + u, there will be a small FPS console opened up at the top left corner below your class symbol as shown below.

The ideal number is 40+.

About FPS please check: FPS wiki

Z – auto targeting

This is a good short key for those who has hard time re-targeting people in nation war.

By pressing "Z," it will automatically target the opponent that is close to you.

R – Healing Towers

Stand beside the tower and press "R" key to heal the tower.

It cost you a little bit of alz to heal the tower but worth it!

The Tower can only be healed by one person at a time.

The healing process will stop automatically once the tower is fully healed, the character run out of Alz, or the character died.

To force stop the healing process, simply click on the "X" as the video shown below.

N – Portable Shop

Press "N" in war will open a shop as shown below. Buy the supply you need!

Building Force Towers:

This is the most important thing in nation war – set up the right towers at the right place and right time.

It require a lot of practice and good back-ups to get a good tower up.

A carefully placed Resurrection tower can be the key of winning a war.

A tower can be built at bases and points or at any spot with a portable FT panel.

(Note that there is a maximum number of portable towers you can set up in a fixed area)

Only the party leader can build towers "by points," but no personal scores gained.

Every player can build towers "by alz," and receive personal scores.

(note that you will re-gain the alz you spend in war at the end of the war if your side win the war)

Get close to a FT panel on a base and left click it, the building menu will show up.

Resurrection towers and warp towers can only be built on bases and points.

Right click the Portable FT panel in your inventory and the menu on the left will pop-up.

The Portable FT panel allows you to build towers at any place.

It temporary increases the stats of the player in fixed area.

Basically, every de-buff tower is useful.

DO NOT build Force tower – Attack

It hardly does any damage on players!

If the tower is under attack and low on HP, please heal it!

(see useful short keys for more information)

You will not lose Alz/Points if you Cancel/fail to build a tower.

Here is the time table for every sizes.

On base towers (The size of the towers depended on where it is located):

Large tower: 60 seconds.

Medium tower: 40 seconds.

Small towers: 20 seconds.

Resurrection towers and Warp towers: 150 seconds.

The personal score given by building towers is depended on the time you spend on building

Formula: (building time * 600) / 10000 = the personal score you gained.

Portable FT panels:

Large tower: 40 seconds.

Medium tower: 20 seconds.

Small tower: immediately. (take no constructing time)

The portable towers will last for 180 secounds and then self-destroyed.

Here is the effect of buff / de-buff towers:

Resurrection and warp towers: 0 ~ 20 seconds re-spawn time depend on the loading.

(The more people using 1 resurrection tower or warp the longer it takes to spawn)

The effect given by the towers is depended on its size.

The larger the better!!

Attack tower:

Large: Attack 1000

Medium: Attack 800

Small: Attack 600

(Attack 1000 means its damage is equal to a player who has 1000 base attack)

Due to its lack of damage, attack towers are really the last choose to build.

Buff Tower:

Attack Up Tower:

Large: Attack, Magic Attack +100

Medium: Attack, Magic Attack +75

Small: Attack, Magic Attack +50

Defense Up Tower:

Large: Defense +40

Medium: Defense +30

Small: Defense +20

HP Auto Heal Tower:

Large: HP Auto heal +100

Medium: HP Auto Heal +75

Small: HP Auto Heal +50

De-Buff Tower:

Attack Down Tower:

Large: Attack, Magic Attack -100

Medium: Attack, Magic Attack -75

Small: Attack, Magic Attack -50

Defense Down Tower :

Large: Defense -40

Medium: Defense -30

Small: Defense -20

HP Down Tower:

Lower nearby enemies’ maximum HP and take down enemies’ HP continuously.

Large: Max HP down by ??? -200 HP per 2 seconds.

Medium: Max HP down by ??? -200 HP per 2 seconds.

Small: Max HP down by ??? -200 HP per 2 seconds.

(Sorry, I don’t have the date for how much HP it too down..)

The purpose of building portable towers is to boost our stats or lower enemies’ stats.

By building de-buff towers, we can also prevent enemies from healing and using SP gear.

(HP, SP gear can only be used when one’s not getting attacked)

Building Locations:

There are few critical spots that are important on the map.

Here is a building list on each base and what type of the towers should be built.

Base (HQ):

1 Resurrection and 1 Warp Tower at top.
1 Resurrection Tower at bottom.
1 Attack Down Tower at bottom.
1 Defense Down Tower at bottom.
1 HP Auto Heal Tower at bottom.

Large points (Alpha, Center, and Omega):

2 Resurrection towers in different sides. (Don’t build at same side)
1 Warp Tower.
1 Attack Up.
1 HP Auto Heal.
1 Attack Down.
1 HP Down.
1 Defense Down.

Medium points (E# and W#):

1 Resurrection Tower
1 Warp Tower.
1 Attack Down.

Special Note for E2 and W8 Warp Tower:

When building at E2 and W8, set up tower at the slot toward the closest base (HQ) as the picture shown below.

The Red Circle is where you should build the Warp Tower.

The Purple circle is the minimum range you have to be in order to use the Warp Tower.

The Blue dot is a smart player like ET!!

Yes, what you are thinking is right!

You can warp from outside of the base by using E2 or W8 Warp Tower, if they are setting up at the right spot!

Small points:

Small points have the lowest HP and hard to defend.

The only choose to build here is Resurrection Tower.

To successfully build a tower require not only the builder’s effort but also everyone in the war.

We send scout to find and kill their res builder so do them!

We have to defend the tower builders (mainly res builders)

Phases using in the war:

This section is mainly focused on "Understand what ET means."

"Slow them down."

This means we (or me) are not going to help. Just do your best to stop them.

Sometimes the place people call up for help is too far away from me or my group.

"Slow them down don’t kill."

This means try your best to disturb them but do not kill.

We may working on taking down their Resurrection Towers or base somewhere else.

Our plan may fail if you kill too many and send too many back.

"group up at (place)"

This means our people are too spread out and we have to do a re-group.

Also, sometimes, we are making a push and we have to gather people.

"Get (place) (place) guardians together"

This means gather the guardians at one spot and does DPS on both as the picture and video shown below.

There are few bases that allow you to do this.

N1 + N12, N12 + N11, S7 + S6, S6 S5

(This is the easiest group. Pretty much every classes are able to do it)

W10 + N11, E4 + S5

(This require some practices and only FAs with BM2 are able to do it)

E2 + E3, W9 + W8

(This is hardest group. There is almost no room for error. It gets re-set really easy)

"get the guard." (or "get ppl")

In some situation, we have to kill guardian or people. Just do it!

"get DPS on (place)"

The way cabal decides who gets the bases (or points) is based on which side does more damage. (Over half including the amount of HP it regenerated back)

It is good to attack some base and get its HP down to half and leave it for other nation to kill.

(Running around and waiting for enemy to take down the guardian then rush back to capture the barrier)

"if u died res at (place) and push (place)"

Sometime the fastest way to go to where it needs helps is suicide.

If you have no a legacy weapon, do not afraid to die once you see that message!

Just follow the message and re-spawn at the corresponding bases.

Do you understand ET better now? LOL

Whys? – Common techniques FAQs

Why do we rush Omega?

The distance between our base to Omega is shorter than enemies’ as the picture shown on the left.

Since we have the sorter distance, we are able to do DPS before they arrives. (see phase using in wars for more)

Why do we skip certain points?

The reason is same as rushing Omega. It’s all about getting DPS.

The bases or points we are going to skip are different each war.

Check with the people making the plan for more information.

Why do we set up Resurrection Tower early? Why is Resurrection Tower important?

It allows people to re-spawn faster and closer to the combat filed.

(see Tower section for more information)

The more people in war, the more important Resurrection Tower is.

Why do we stay together?

No doubt, the power of teamwork is unbeatable.

Also, by staying together, we are able to call for back-up faster.

Soloing a base or point is really pointless since each and every NPCs (ensigns, barriers, guardians, and gates) has the ability to regenerate HP.

Soloing base is really an inefficiency way to gain points and easy to get caught and killed.

If you don’t do what you suppose to do, not only our nation lose your part of contribution but also you allow one person from opponent nation to join the war!

Why should 150s relog for 170s?

Since last update, each level difference equal to 1% critical damage reduction.

We are not trying to beat you down and take away your right to practice nation war!

We all want to win and by letting 170s in war, it increases our chance of winning.

Do you ever force kick or doing a skill on a high level and only 8 damage shows up?

I have experienced that a lot! (I am the one receive 8 damage hehe!)

Yes…relog! for the goods of your nation!

Why does the first ten minutes important?

Do you ever wonder why sometimes one nation has less bases but has higher score?

The natural points we take at the beginning is called "Base Score."

The more natural points we occupies the more base score we gained.

It is possible to win a war with less bases than opponent if we obtains more natural points.

Also, the very first ten minutes is crucial for the set up of Resurrection Towers.

Why do we scout for tower builders?

Since the builders can not do anything beside standing there and drink their energy drinks (HP pot-_-), it is easier to kill them before they finish the tower.

I am the party leader…Why can’t I build the guardians?

This is a common bug that happens a lot in the nation war.

Yes, only the leader can set up the guardians!

However, sometimes, you are the leader but you still can not build…

There is a simply way to fix the bug…

Please pass your leader to someone else in your party and tell them to toss the leader back!

I am the party leader and I am not bugged…Why am I still not able to build the guardians?

If you already tried the method above and it is still not working.

Please lower your camera angle to the minimum. (use the scroll on your mouse)

Here is the video demonstration:

The two methods above should solve all your problem with building guardians.

Damn it! This BL/WA in BM2 keep knocking me down!! I can’t get up!!

Here is the secret ESTsoft doesn’t want you to know!!

To get up faster, simply left click as fast as possible to the direction you want to get up.

(In other word, spam the left button on your mouse!)

Here is the video demonstration of the difference before/after using the technique.

(Thanks psykon for helping me made this video!)

First two knocked downs, I did not apply the technique and it takes me about 3 seconds to get up.

I applied the technique after the third knocked down and it clearly shows that I get up faster.

It is an useful techniques in nation war especially in BM2 and some other situation that you can not combo.
