Introduction:
Okay, I’ve noticed there is just no one-stop guide for wizards, newbies are lost in the endless abyss of the forums with a less-than-helpful search function. So this is it. This is YOUR guide. What makes me qualified to make this? Absolutely nothing! But I know how boring it is to start a thread just to make a guide for people who rarely appreciate the effort. So Wizards of CabalSEA, this is YOUR guide template to request edits and to add information to. There will be a significant lack of information in the first version of this guide, so bear with it until more information is added
Cheers!

This guide has been influenced by:
Vodka of Asiasoft Forums. Great guide by the way.
StarS1gn of GameFAQs.

Self Introduction:

Hi, my character’s name used in this guide is Kinesis, from Mercury server. You may feel free to message me for help or if you require assistance. However, I do not provide charity nor do I provide PK services. What you can do is message me if you have something to say or you want to clairify something, that’s perfectly alright. Remember, I’m under-qualified to provide professional assistance with skill builds. (I’m only Sword/Magic = Master/Transcender). But I’ll be willing to help you out any way I can.

Sword Skills

Impact Stab
Skilling up in sword only requires one skill to be honest, Impact Stab, which should be at level 9.

Flash Draw
However, to make it faster, people often add Flash Draw to level 9 as well.

Fade Step
Get this. Even though people in PvP usually ask not to fade. But seriously, tell them to grow up. This is a vital life saving skill.

Dash
You definitely need this. Using this with Blink will give you the fastest travel speed possible.

Rising Shot
Grab this for the knockdown? You’ll have leftover sword points so do what you like.

Round Cut
Absolutely no use. But get it if you have the spare cash, do what you like.

Novice Magic Skills

Magic Arrow
This is one of THE MOST imporant skilling attacks you’ll ever have. Get this to level 9 and you’ll never have to worry about whether you have the right skills ever again.
Terra Arrow
I really wouldn’t bother about this skill if you’re just starting out as a wizard. Save the cash. Or if you’re rich, feel free to waste it on this skill.
Aqua Arrow
I really wouldn’t bother about this skill if you’re just starting out as a wizard. Save the cash. Or if you’re rich, feel free to waste it on this skill.
Wind Arrow
I really wouldn’t bother about this skill if you’re just starting out as a wizard. Save the cash. Or if you’re rich, feel free to waste it on this skill.
Fire Arrow
I really wouldn’t bother about this skill if you’re just starting out as a wizard. Save the cash. Or if you’re rich, feel free to waste it on this skill.
Freezing Arrow
I really wouldn’t bother about this skill if you’re just starting out as a wizard. Save the cash. Or if you’re rich, feel free to waste it on this skill.
Lightning Arrow
I really wouldn’t bother about this skill if you’re just starting out as a wizard. Save the cash. Or if you’re rich, feel free to waste it on this skill.
Burning Hand
Okay, I never actually FOUND a use for this skill just yet. Its close ranged and not at all too useful. But if you like it, add it. Also works as a secondary skilling attack.
Freeze
This can also be used as the secondary skilling attack. This is ranged, and is the equivalent of Flash Draw sword skill when skilling. Get it to level 9 if you wish to combo skill up.
Regeneration
If you’re quite good at avoiding damage or you’re rushing your skill ranks, don’t bother with this skill. If you’re a casual player, get this.

Apprentice Magic Skills

Dig Bomb
Has its uses. Get it to level 9. This will probably be replaced later so don’t get too comfy.
Icicle Shower
Don’t bother, enough said.
Magic Blast
You probably should stick to your Magic Arrow for skill up purposes.
Stone Blast
You could get this if you really want some other attacks to look at. However, this is also not going to last very long. Should skip.
Aqua Blast
You could get this if you really want some other attacks to look at. However, this is also not going to last very long. Should skip.
Wind Blast
Do not get this.
Fire Blast
You could get this if you really want some other attacks to look at. However, this is also not going to last very long. Should skip.
Ice Blast
Do not get this.
Lightning Blast
Do not get this.

Regular Magic Skills

Magic Lance
Give this skill a miss. (Don’t get it)
Terra Lance
This skill will become one of the main PvP skills. Be sure to get this and get it to level 20.

Aqua Lance
This skill is optional. Its not recommended, but you can get it if you want.
Wind Lance
This skill is optional. Its not recommended, but you can get it if you want.
Fire Lance
This skill will become one of the main PvP skills. Be sure to get this and get it to level 20.

Freezing Lance
This skill is optional. Its not recommended, but you can get it if you want.
Lightning Lance
This skill is optional. Its not recommended, but you can get it if you want.
Wind Cutter
You might want to get this skill due to its ability to kill at low levels. However, this is eventually going to be deleted
Hydro Disk
Close ranged skill. This is the equivalent of Burning Hand Get if you like. But it is not recommended.
Weaken
Debuff skill. You NEED this skill. It works as a mob pulling skill too which does not do damage. So get this to level 20.
Hardness
Buff skill. You’ll also NEED this skill to keep yourself alive and kicking while skilling up or grinding. Also people appreciate this buff.

Lightning Strike
Too slow to be of any use. Ignore it.
Acid Trap
This skill has its uses at level 20 and for you to mess around with at low levels. (Yes, this will kill low level players) Higher levels, don’t get this.

Expert Magic Skills

Magic Cannon
Ignore this.
Stone Cannon
This skill will become one of the main PvP skills. Be sure to get this and get it to level 20.
Aqua Cannon
This skill is optional and it is up to you to decide on its effectiveness based on how often you would use this.
Wind Cannon
Ignore this.
Fire Cannon
This skill will become one of the main PvP skills. Be sure to get this and get it to level 20.
Crystal Cannon
Ignore this.
Lightning Cannon
This skill is optional and it is up to you to decide on its effectiveness based on how often you would use this.

A. Expert Magic Skills

Vacuum
Vacuum is only useful for PvE combo leveling. However, it is still too slow to work out in PvP. This is optional depending on your budget.

Chain Explosion
Chain Explosion has its uses. Mostly for its down ability. However, its cast time is relatively slow. Entirely up to you at this point. Optional.

Energy Field
A definite must-have. Get this to level 9 or 12 or 15.

Sharpness
Buff Skill. Get this only when you have enough money. Or if you’re short on cash, put this on hold.

Master Magic Skills

Blink
The magical equivalent of Dash. You should get this and get it to level 9 and you’ll be breezing through maps while travelling.

Resist Intension
Resist Intension, get this later in game, early levels, its a waste of points best used elsewhere.

Force Increase
Buff Skill. Get this and also get it to level 20. It is important as it raises your HP and MP and thus, you’ll live longer.

Hailstorm
This skill’s use is dependant on you. If you like it, get it to 20. If you’re not too keen, leave it at 9 or 12 or 15, that’s fine.

A. Master Magic Skills

Arctic Field
This is one of your PvE combo skills. You should get this to level 12 or 15. (Trust Vodka on this, higher than 15 and you’ll probably die before the cooldown ends.)

High Regeneration
You should get this as it replaces Regeneration as a HoT skill (Heal over Time). Max it as well.

G. Master Magic Skills

Extreme Dual Cannon
Get this to level 12 or 15. This, working with Space Collapse, pretty much works out as wonderful PvE and PvP combo starters and enders.

Spirit Intension
Party Buff Skill. Get this anyway and max it out. Plus it has its uses for PvP.

Completer Magic Skills

Space Collapse
This skill is a must-have. It acts as a finisher in PvPs and also helps in PvE. However, it is still too inefficient to work solo so you’ll have to get used to combining other skills with this. The stun effect helps a lot and its suggested you get this to level 12. Or get it to level 20 (MAX) if you really like this skill.

Mass Restore
Your party will love you for this. Just get it and max it out.

Transcender Magic Skills

Art of Force Control
Buff Skill. Nothing much to say here, its a Transcender skill so get it and max it. For those who don’t know, this skill can be maxed to level 20 when you’re Transcender(147).

Raise Spirit
Buff Skill. Nothing much to say here, its a Transcender skill so get it and max it. For those who don’t know, this skill can be maxed to level 20 when you’re Transcender(147).

Upgrade Skills

Vitality Mastery
Get this skill and keep it updated. This will keep you alive and without it, you can’t PvP.

Mana Mastery
Seriously? Don’t get this. Cabal has an auto-mp pot usage system, that would be sufficient and this would just be wasting slots.

Reflex
Get this and keep it. Defense Rate is important to Martialsuit users as it keeps you alive longer.

Sharp Eyes
No, ignore this.

Offensive Sense
Ignore this as well.

Defensive Sense
You could get this in place of Reflex. However, Reflex works better for PvE and this is not really suited for PvE.

Force Control
You should get this, it gives more smack to your magic power.

Force Change (Sword to Magic)

Force Change (Magic to Sword)

Impact Control
Ignore this.

Damage Absorb
Get this when you’re a transcender.

Eyes of Mind
Ignore this.

Sixth Sense
Get this or Ruling Forceas soon as possible.

Ruling Force
Get this or Sixth Sense as soon as possible.

Punching …as a wizard
i. Punching all the way
This is pretty basic, from the get-go, punch mobs which give you at least 1-5 exp and preferably if they don’t do that much damage to you. Saves on HP pots.

ii. Punching for the people who dislike actual work
This involves rushing to level 40. Get to level 40 and you’ll have access to Adept (+Skill EXP) gear. This will make skilling up a lot easier.

iii. Punching for the people with short attention spans
Now this is for people who have more money than attention. Buy "Life Capsule(Level 2) Type B" from the Cash Shop or sometimes from personal shops in trade channels. Then just auto-attack and target mobs with the "+" in their name, like Bugshark+. It takes about 5-8 mins to kill a mob so you can feel free to do other things.

Comboing …as a wizard

i. Comboing …for skill gains
-> ->
Sword Skill : Stick to the Impact Stab -> Flash Draw -> Rising Shot combo as suggest by lunacry. This works out real well for rushing your Sword Ranks.

-> ->
Magic Skill : I have no specific recommendation for a combo at this point of time until someone posts a suggestion. But throw in Magic Arrow for the moment. Or you could use Magic Arrow -> Freeze -> Burning Hand, suggested by rebelz.

ii. Comboing …in PvE
Try this (according to StarS1gn from GameFAQs):
->->->
Extreme Dual Cannon -> Space Collapse -> Arctic Field -> Energy Field

You may also use whatever combo you wish to skill up in place of punching. Caution though, you will level equally fast as you can skill, meaning, you’ll be higher level as well, which, if you prefer being low leveled and high skilled, stick to punching.

Or try this (suggested by F4ll3n4Ng3L and creginald):
->->->->
Hailstorm -> Space Collapse -> Arctic Field -> Extreme Dual Cannon -> Energy Field

iii. Comboing …in PvP
You’ll need to set your own bar for this. However I’ll provide a small example:

It is not necessarily the best arrangement but you get the idea.

->->->->->->->
(Acid Trap) -> Extreme Dual Cannon -> Stone Cannon -> Fire Cannon -> Terra Lance -> Fire Lance -> Chain Explosion -> Space Collapse

*Acid Trap is optional for people who just want the -hp (No, it is not that useful).
*I personally use this combo for PvP, Chain Explosion being optional depending on the situation. (Yes it does have its uses on low leveled people)

Recommended Equipment and Upgrades for Various Levels
Okay, someone messaged me in-game with a query on what equipment I’m using to justify the use and reliability of this guide. So here it is, This is the current set of equipment I use at level 8x:

Cheers!

Wizard PvP
This section is devoted to wizards everywhere. Got a PvP strategy to share? Post it up and I’ll add it here.

Against a Force Archer
"Either combo or go head on. Blink and Fade Step. Use all destructive spells. Wizards have much more destructive spell damage. And furthermore with our High Regeneration, it will be just fine." – Griever5177

Against a Force Shielder
"Well against a FS, I think it could be either luck or just combo. But If I’m not mistaken, there’s high probability they’ll miss their attacks on us UNLESS they combo." – Griever5177

Against a Force Blader
"Never try to Fade Step and Blink as much as you can, Before the duel starts, turn on High Regeneration because I would fight them head on since they can bind us in place. So Blink is pointless and only will cause you a second of delay on your damage per second. So versus force blader, combo and head on attacks." – pocl

"Fade Step to begin with and you won’t have to worry about being binded in the first place. Then pull up your stunlock." – F4ll3n4Ng3L

Against a Warrior
"Worst encounter for Wiz. I’ve lost miserably to Warriors even though I managed to deal a great amount of destructive damage. But due to their Immunity, tough luck. Combo wouldn’t be a good idea. Warriors have really strong offensive damage head on. Probably the best way is to keep your distance and just spam your powerful skills." – Griever5177

Against a Blader
"Fade Step, Blink and Dash as much as you can since they don’t have many long range and knockdown skills, just use Blink efficiently and combo depending on the range and timing. If you don’t use combo, it will be quite hard to hit them since they got the increase flee rate skill." – pocl

F.A.Qs

1. Does skill leveling get harder with each new rank? (Eg. Leveling Apprentice is easier than leveling up G. Master?)
Yes, it has a significant difference in the amount of time it takes.

2. What’s the basic PvP combo?
Extreme Dual Cannon -> Stone Cannon -> Fire Cannon -> Terra Lance -> Fire Lance -> Space Collapse. You can add in Acid Trap and Chain Explosion if you have them.

3. Magic Amp. or Deathblow?
Pick whichever you like or search it up on the forums (there are tons of threads) but I prefer Deathblow (+critical rate) simply because it is easier to find in trade.
