So you want to be a successful warrior…

First thing you will have to do is decide your key role:
Main tank(sword n board)
Trash tank(sword n board)
Disable dps(paired)
All out dps(2h)

*Know your stats.
-STR increases physical dmg(0mg really??)
-FIN ignores armor by a % to increase dmg
-EXP reduces your chance to miss
-LUCK you can ignore early on your % is fine

To be a successful Warrior, you need a healthy mix of these four core stats.
Leveling
Leveling a Warrior is a bit different from other classes, they start out slow and become a wrecking ball. They really come into their own when they learn Agonizing Blow. Early on it’s pretty tough, it will get easier from 7-10. Always invite stragglers on kill X amount of Y quests, not only will it speed up the process, but you might just make a healer friend struggling with the mobs out of it!

MONEY
"I can has cheezburga?"
So if you stick to doing quests and buying gear from vendors, money will get pretty tight. One element that Allods has that not many other MMOs have is the resale page. Meaning you can BUY what people vendor. This includes blues.

I typically find a blue on a vendors resale page, put it in the AH with a 400% mark up and it sells rather quickly. Do this and you can afford power pots to be a beast XD

Weapons:

What to use and when to use them.
1 handed weapons give your skills a 3second cd for most with standard energy consumption.
Paired weapons give your skills a 1second cd with reduced energy consumption.
2 handed weapons give your skills a 3 second cd for most with standard energy consumption.

The CD’s for certain skills that are not dictated by weapon worn remain the same CD.

For armored kiting targets I use a 2hander
armored non-kiting targets I use paired weapons
vs a 2 hander I use sword n board

"BUT-BUT-BUT I want to TANK!!"
Straight up – roll a Paladin Archetype. They are Russias MT’s, Brutes just slap on a board and off-tank adds.

Warriors can main tank at 40 but they need a mix of epic gear that spreads out agility, stamina and endurance.

Warning: Following this guide will require use of waters of death. While you can get by without them, you will gimp yourself in terms of leveling compared to wasting $12 on waters over the course of 40 levels.

Levels 1-10:
We are currently forced to use 1h+shield until 10 at which point we unlock 2h axes.

Focus on your bread and butter, Powerful blow. Also work towards your first CA dump, Agonizing Blow.

Skill Rotation
Step 1: Powerful Blow x 3
(if) there is no bleed effect, repeat step 1
(if) the bleed effect is on the mob Move to step 2
Step 2: Agonizing Blow x 1
Our skill cycle gets much more complex later on.

Typical skill build for level 10:

Levels 11-20
We now have access to 2h axes as well as paired axes at level 20.

Here is where your build splits, you either level up with paired weapons or 2h axe or 1h+shield

If you decide to go the 2h route, your build will look like this at 20:

Skill Rotation
Step 1: Powerful Blow x 3
(if) there is no bleed effect, repeat step 1
(if) the bleed effect is on the mob Move to step 2
Step 2: Agonizing Blow x 1
Rinse repeat till dead.

If you decide to go the paired route, your build will look like this at 20:

Skill Rotation:
Step 1: Charge
Step 2: PB x 2
Step 3: Bonk
Step 4: PB x 3
Step 5: Headbutt
Mob should be dead.

If you decide to go the sword n board route, your build will look like this at 20:

Skill Rotation:
Step 1: Cruelty if Tanking otherwise PB x 2
Step 2: Bulldozer
Rinse repeat till dead.

Levels 21-30
We now have access to every weapon type except staves, daggers and paired daggers.
Alas we can now use Plate, time to WTFPWN right?

One Response to aznlilboigoh’s Warrior Level 1 – 40 Guide

  • I hate to say it but the images of the Talent Calculator are all for a Paladin and not for a warrior. also the images are too small to read points added in each part.

As far as I can tell this is the build guide I would like to use if only the Talent Calculator was correct and easier to read.
