Ak/Bagi is by far the most difficult for hunters. It takes a fair amount of skill, and above all practice. Ill break it down for u as best as i can. It is essential to have xbow/dagger to pvp vs melee, but bow/dagger is possible (strongly recommend against this).

AK: Is the Class i have spent 85% of my pvps against. Takes awhile to learn how to go against them. Essentially it comes down to being able to kite well. And What makes me laugh everytime i see it, which will no doubt get u killed, is when a hunter opens a fight against an ak with Wonderfiring -> Crow wings. Do this and u die. No question about it.

To Kill an AK, u must effectively Kite for 40 seconds. This will outlast their crit buff, and more Importantly their runbuff. Something u cant outrun is Insensibility, Anti-knockback buff. But u can beat it. So u ask, how do i do this? every time i even attack, the ak is already in my face. Well, theres 2 ways to start a fight with AK. Depends on what they use. The Majority of Aks will use 1 hand/shield and duals, which means your in good shape. Start out the fight with a Ice arrow. Immediately after,switch to dag, use a deadspin. They will get a skill in on u, but it cant be helped. If u did this right, u will be 15 feet away from them, and they wont be able to move. After deadspin, switch to xbow again, use Wonderfiring and then Ice arrow. Right after ice Arrow Start running, as deadspin will just have worn off. If u see an AK with a 2 Hander, especially a mace, Be wary. Against these I usually start out the match running, dont waste time trying to slow them. If hes smart he will get u stunned, which = death. My beginning combo is Ice arrow -> Deadspin -> WF -> Ice arrow -> Run

Now u got 30 seconds to run for ur life. Kiting an AK is difficult. U have to move as straight as possible, while watching them. They generally will try to cut u off, since u will have to turn at some point. Keep an eye on them, if they try to cut u off too harshly, switch directions. More often then not u will create more distance between u and them. It is very likely that even if u are kiting, they may reach u again, until u get VERY good at it. If this happens, whip out the dagger, and deadspin, and hope u get away

So, If u can last 40 seconds in the fight against an AK, u have won. Usually im at 1/4 shield at this point, so dont be worrying if u are hurt bad. U MUST watch the ak, to notice when he starts running slower. Once this happens, keep on running, until u are the maxiumum distance from him that u can still attack from. Use icearrow again, so hes even slower. If ur up against a wall, then keep on running till u get space behind u. Use ice arrow every time its up. My Combo once their runbuff runs out usually looks like Ice arrow -> WF -> run till max bow distance -> Ice arrow -> exploding Arrow -> run till max bow distance (U can use vshot if u got it maxed, otherwise just use exploding). Repeat this until he is dead. Remember, he can still Kill you if u play it stupid.

NEVER NEVER NEVER EVER EVER EVER use Crow-wings/Demo-bomb/Fiore/Triangle. These all require long cast time, and will result in AK bashing in the little amount of Shield/hp u got left. All u should use is Icearrow/exploding arrow(or lvl 10 Vshot)/Wonder Firing/ Deadspin.

Bagis: Not As bad as Aks, luckily. Essentially Same as an AK, except always start out running vs them. For 30 seconds they are immune to any Slows, and have essentially the same runbuff as AKs, -the Knockback Resist buff. If a Bagi catches u, which is likely until u are skilled at kiting, things are grim. They have very nasty Kbs, which usually will follow u if u run. If i get caught, i use Wonderfiring -> Deadspin. The point of this is to deal quick damage, while trying to escape. Deadspin wont slow them, but Jetisons u away, hopefully enough so u can Run. Outlast these 2 buffs the same as an AK, and u will kill them just like the AK.

REMEMBER THIS!! It takes an enourmous amount of practice to learn how to kite efficiently, and how to switch weapons quickly. Hunters must be able to adapt to a situation to survive, which takes time to learn. Become friends with a bagi or ak , and practice with them. Fight them 20 times. Be prepared to lose 20 times. But u will get better, and u will learn to beat them ( its the only way i learned, Many Thanks to WNxZakume, a 120 AK, whom i spent countless hours dieing to).

P.S.S : I wrote this guide because of the Massive amount of help asked for vs Melee, and the Ridiculous advice given to hunters in this regard. (I laughed at nosillasivad’s post, and decided I would try to raise his spirits with this guide).
